When all was said and done, the seven fight card was reduced to five, and only one of the originally scheduled fighters remained.

GLEN BURNIE, MD., The new season of Ballroom Boxing began tonight in an event that proves conclusively that in boxing, just as in politics, business, or other sports, when you have strong, proactive leadership coupled with a bright , highly motivated team, good things will happen. Originally Darnell “The Ding-A-Ling Man” Wilson was scheduled to appear in the main event but was scratched after incurring an injury. So, after a fight card scheduled in Washington D.C. was cancelled, local favorite Jed Phipps became available and filled that slot.
