(San Diego, CA) – California boxing hall of fame promoter Bobby DePhilippis and his company Bobby D Presents are gearing up for their next mega fight slated for Friday, August 30th, at the home for southern California professional boxing, The Four Points by Sheraton Hotel in San Diego, CA. Bobby D Presents is coming off their very successful fight card last month where undefeated knock out artist Maurice “Mighty Mo” Hooker stopped Tijuana tough guy Mario “Popeye” Hermosillo in one round while lightweight Leon Spinks III struggled but remained undefeated under the watchful eye of his legendary grandfather “Neon” Leon Spinks who was in the house along with over one thousand other San Diego fight fans.

For August 30th, DePhilippis will present the return of local hometown favorite Amaris “Diamond Girl” Quintana (6-1-2, 1KO) as she comes back after a year hiatus out of the ring. Quintana, known for his come forward aggressive style, will face the always feared TBA for six sure to be explosive rounds. The female flyweight is coming off her first loss at the hands of Sindy Amador but is determined not only to get back in the win column but to get back in the groove to demand a rematch.

In the co-main event, undefeated super lightweight Emmanuel “Renegade” Robles (8-0-1, 3KOs) will look to put another spectacular performance for six rounds or less this time against the much more experienced Rynell Griffin (7-16-2, 2KOs). In his last fight in April, Robles stopped hard hitting Joshua Marks in four rounds with a barrage of punches started by a thundering body shot. In Griffin of New Orleans, Robles will face a fighter who not only has more fights than he but has faced the much tougher opposition in the likes of title challenger Olusegun Ajose, up and coming prospects Archie Ray Marquez, Antonio Escalante and Rances Barthelemy.

In a special attraction six rounder, 2012 USA Olympian heavyweight Michael Hunter (1-0, 1KO) will put his undefeated record on the line when he takes on Mexican Francisco Mireles (15-7, 4KOs) of Agua Prieta, MX. Hunter of Las Vegas is trained by Jeff Mayweather of the famed boxing clan and will look to prove his mettle against a Mireles who is coming a six round unanimous decision win over Noe Zamora. In Hunter’s pro debut back in March, he stopped fourteen fight veteran Chad Davis in three rounds.

Also featured on the card will be San Diego’s featherweight Priest “Tiger” Smalls (1-0-1), Las Vegas knock out artist welterweight 8-0, 7KOs) and a sure to be war between featherweight Luis Ambrosio (1-0, 1KO) and Christian Cartier (0-2).

The Four Points Sheraton is located at 8110 Aero Drive in San Diego, CA. Doors open at 6:30pm with the first punch thrown at 7:30pm. This is an all-ages event with plenty of parking available. Tickets available now at www.SanDiegoFights.com.
