
Guaynabo, P.R.- W.B.O bantamweight Champion Gerry “Fearless” Peñalosa (54-6-2 36KO’s) had an open workout today at the Wilfredo Gómez Gym prior to this Saturday’s championship bout. Peñalosa, who is set to fight Juan Manuel López (24-0 22 KO’s) for the Puerto Rican’s super bantamweight belt of the same organization, shadowed boxed for several minutes before getting on the ring to hit the mitts with his trainer.

López makes seven day weigh-in
Bayamón, P.R.- Juan Manuel “Juanma” López (24-0 22KO’s) weighed in today at 126.2 lbs at the seven day weigh-in prior to his bout with Filipino Gerry “Fearless” Penalosa (53-6-2 36KO’s) for the WBO super bantamweight title. The maximum weigh allowed for the obligatory weigh-in was 128.1 lbs. Penalosa will be weighed-in later today in Los Angeles, California.
12 bouts set for “Campeón vs Campeón” (Champion vs Champion) López vs Peñalosa
A total of 84 rounds set for 12 bouts is scheduled for the boxing card where Puerto Rican Juan Manuel “Juanma” López (24-0, 22KO’s) will defend his WBO super bantamweight title against Gerry “Fearless” Penalosa (54-6-2 36KO’s)of San Carlos City, Phillipines. The card is to take place on the Rubén Rodríguez coliseum in Bayamón, Puerto Rico the 25th of April.

Different versions of the incident have been reported by different witnesses but the now former team has been reluctant to say much.

Bayamon, P.R.- Super flyweight veteran José “Carita” López (39-7-2, 32 KO’s) from Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico won his first world title in his sixth attempt and on the day of his birthday when he battled Pramaunsak Phosuwan (39-2-1, 21 KO’s), Mahasalakam, Thailand, for twelve action packed rounds in the Rubén Rodriguez Coliseum.

The main bout will feature veterans Pramuansak Phosuwan (39-1-1, 21 KO’s) from Mahasalakam, Thailand against José “Carita” López (38-7-2, 32 KO’s) from Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico for the WBO super flyweight championship. The televised portion of the card will feature former world champions Eric “Little Hands of Steel” Morel (40-2, 21 KO’s) against Roberto Bonilla (22-10, 13 KO’s) and Manuel “Manny” Siaca against George Klinesmith (24-13-4, 4 KO’s), both fighting ten rounders. The first fight to be televised will feature Miguel Angel Jimenez against former Puertorrican Olympian Carlos Negrón, both of whom will be making their pro debuts.
