15Rounds.com has been informed that Derric Rossy (22-2, 12 KO’s) is most likely to step in and face Chris Arreola (27-1, 24 KO’s) on the Dec 5th HBO card. The fight will be listed as the co-main event to P4P fighter Paul Williams (37-1, 27 KO’s) and an opponent to be named at a later time. The Arreola/Rossy fight isn’t set in stone, but is very close to being complete. Arreola looks to rebound after his gritty loss to WBC champ Vitali Klitschko (38-2, 37 KO’s) this past September, where Arreola’s corner stopped the fight after the 10th round. Rossy hopes to follow up his biggest win to date with another good performance, recently beating former world title challenger Carl Davis Drummond (26-2, 20 KO’s) via a unanimous decision on ESPN. The winner of this fight would stay right in line for a title shot in the very near future.

Rossy – Holyfield in the works plus news on Darrel Madison

15Rounds.com has been told that an impending fight between Derric Rossy (22-2, 10 KO’s) and Evander Holyfield (42-10-2, 27 KO’s) is in the works. The fight seems like it is a good match-up for both fighters. Rossy is looking to build on his ESPN win his last fight against Carl Davis Drumond. Holyfield is looking to make yet another run for a piece of the Heavyweight belt, even at the age of 46. Assuming the final details are ironed out, you should see this fight by the end of this year. The location is looking to be somewhere in the Orient, although no exact location is known as of now. More news to follow.
Saratoga’s Night of Future Champions
Not sure if this card had many future champions of major belts, but it did offer a lot of excitement. Lisa Elovich and Paul Brown of Pugnacious Promotion put on an excellent card for the fans at the Saratoga City Center in Saratoga Springs. The venue was packed with a great atmosphere, just in time for the start of the horse racing season. They had some former boxers in the crowd as well, with Joe Mesi and Gary Wilcox, just to name a few.
Q & A with Ashandi Gibbs
Recently I caught up with Middleweight prospect Ahsandi “Mr. Brixx” Gibbs, based out of Florida. Ahsandi was in his final preparations for his upcoming bout With Marcus Upshaw on May 8th. Upshaw lost a majority decision to James “Buddy” McGirt Junior two fights ago. There is no doubt this will be the toughest test for Mr. Gibbs to date.
Fighting for a Cause at the Hilton
November 25th at the Huntington Hilton had a good card for an even better cause. Final Forum and matchmaker Eric Bentley put together a night of boxing, where a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Friends of Amanda Malloy for Education (FAME). This program will fund scholarships for underprivileged children. Amanda was a very good friend of Chris Algieri, who was fighting in her memory and will be donating a portion of his purse to the cause.

Havoc at the Hilton
The Huntington Hilton put on a great fight card on September 26th in New York. This was due to the help of Bob Duffy (Ring Promotions), Frankie G promotions, and matchmaker Frank Mullen. The card had tons of New York prospects, as well as Pawel Wolak in his comeback fight after his first career setback.
McCline VS. Mollo in the works

15Rounds has learned that Mike Mollo (19-2, 12 KO’s) and Jameel McCline (38-9-3, 23 KO’s) is in the works. It is anticipated that if this fight does get finalized, it will land on the November 7th card in Chengdu, China. It is also rumored that more heavyweights might be in action on the card, with Andrew Golota (41-6-1, 33 KO’s) and Ray Austin’s (24-4-4, 16 KO’s) names being mentioned as additions to the card in separate bouts. Golota is coming off his win earlier this year against Mike Mollo, while Austin has been inactive since the two round devastation he suffered by the hands of Wladimir Klitschko (51-3, 45 KO’s) early in 2007. With Marco Antonio Barrera (63-6, 42 KO’s) as a rumored headliner, this card could shape up nicely if all the rumored fights/boxers come together.
