Willie Pep passes away at
84

Legendary former world champion,
Willie Pep passed away on Thursday in Connecticut
at the age of 84.
Pep, was one of the greatest
defensive fighters of all-time suffered from
Alzheimer's since 2001 and passed away at the
West Hill Nursing Home.
Pep amassed an incredible
record of 230-11-1 with 65 knockouts over a
26 year career.
Pep won his first 65 fights
that included winning the world featherweight
title in 1942 with a 15 round decision over
Chalky Wright. Pep lost and regained the title
against Sandy Sadler.
Pep was inducted in the International
Boxing Hall Of Fame in 1990.
