Kessler-Miranda not ON
By Marc Abrams
According to Dan Rafael of
espn.com, the proposed Super Middleweight clash
between Mikkel Kessler and Edison Miranda will
not happen.
The report said that despite
agreeing to all terms of the Kessler and his
team informed SHOWTIME that they will not be
taking the bout which was to air on May 24.
Miranda's promoter, Leon
Margules of Warriors Boxing was very surprised
at the turn of events as he has the paperwork
and contract proving that he made a number of
concessions that team Kessler wanted to make
this bout happen.
The only comments from Kessler's
team was that they secured a yet to be names
world title bout for the Danish fighter.
Kessler, 39-1 and Miranda,
30-2 agreed to the ten round bout after a series
of press releases from Miranda calling out Kessler.
