Mayweather Jr. not happy
with Uncle Roger
By Marc Abrams
Today on an international
conference call to promote his Wrestlemania
24 appearance, pound for pound king, Floyd Mayweather
expressed major displeasure with his Uncle/Trainer,
Roger Mayweather for training Steve Forbes for
his May 3rd bout with Oscar De La Hoya.
If Forbes beats De La Hoya,
it would destroy Mayweather Jr.'s Sept. 20 rematch
with De La Hoya, which would cost him a pay
day in the neighborhood of $20 million.
The Forbes-De la Hoya bout
would match Roger and his brother Floyd Sr,
who have had a long standing feud.
Floyd Jr. gave an ultimatum
of a couple weeks for his uncle to make his
decision or he will look for another trainer
for his proposed September 2o rematch with De
La Hoya.
