Escobedo cruises past Arrietta

Escobedo scored a knockdown en route to a ten
round unanimous decision over Roberto Arrietta
at The Home Depot Center Tennis stadium in Carson,
California.
Although Arrietta tried to
come forward during periods of the fight, Escobedo
was superior with his ring generalship and punching.
Escobedo scored a knockdown in round six from
a left hook.
Escobedo. of Woodland, California
won by scores of 99-90, 99-90 and 97-92 to raise
his record to 17-1. Arrietta of Argentina is
now 27-13-4.
One-time prospect, Jeffrey
Resto scored a majority decision over Hector
Alatorre in a ten round Jr. Welterweight bout.
Resto used his length to
keep the southpaw ferom mounting any serious
offense and won by scores of 99-92, 99-92 and
95-95 to win his fifth straight after back to
back losses and raise his record to 22-2. Alatorre
is now 15-4
