Brähmer v Brancalion & Zbik v Spada

On the 6 June in Oberhausen, Germany Universum will be promoting a double header featuring European Light Heavyweight Champion Jurgen Brahmer making his first defence against Antonio Brancalion. While Sebastian Zbik goes up against Domenico Spada in Middleweight action.

Last year Brahmer 32-2(26) lost when he fought Hugo Garay in a WBA 175 title fight but rebounded nicely earlier this year to win the vacant European title against Frenchman Rachid Kanfouah when he knocked him out in the fifth. His opponent from Italy is Antonio Brancalion 32-6-2(8)who has never been stopped. At 33 he his at the veterans stage of his career but should provide Brahmer with a useful learning curve as he attempts to get another world title shot.

Unbeaten Sebastian Zbik 26-0(10) will be looking to win the WBC International title when he takes on another Italian Domenico Spada 29-1(14) It looks an evenly matched fight on paper with the winner knowing he’ll be on the cusp of a fight for the European title and all the while improving his WBC rating.
