“It’s been pushed back to February 14th,” stated Chelo Betancourt, head
trainer to Elvir Muriqi, in regards to Muriqi’s IBF eliminator against
Clinton Woods. The bout was originally scheduled for January 31st.
“We are glad that we can spend time with our families during the
holidays, but we were very willing to sacrifice that,” stated
Betancourt. “I just want to get Elvir in that number one spot and fight
the top guys in the division.”
Clinton Woods is 41-4 with 24 knockouts. He lost a one-sided twelve
round decision as well as his IBF Light Heavyweight title to Antonio
Tarver in April of this year.
