Tomasz Adamek retained the IBF/Ring magazine title with a stoppage over a game Bobby Gunn at the end of round four at The Prudential Center in Newark, new Jersey.
Adamek landed shots at will on the overmatched Gunn. It seemed in round two Gunn did have a plan as he started to get through with counter left hands that every once in a while would stop Adamek in his tracks. Adamek continued to batter Gunn which was much to the delight of the Pro-Polish crowd which has cheered on their man for the third consecutive fight.
Gunn would get him with a combination and stand up to the champion with a motion “Come on” on several occasions.
After an end of round four which saw Adamek landed hard crisp punches, Gunn was not allowed to continue by referee Earl Brown, which saved Gunn from further damage.
With the win, Adamek, 199 lbs of Gilowice, Poland is now 38-1 with twenty-six knockouts. Gunn, 194 lbs of nearby Hackensack, New Jersey is now 18-4-1.
Curtis Stevens breathed life back into his once-promising career with a devistating third round stoppage over previous unblemished Piotr Wilczewski in a scheduled eight round Super Middleweight bout.
Stevens dropped Wilczewski in round one after a barrage of punches set up a body punch. Wilczewski was lucky to get out of the round as Stevens came in for the finish but it was too late in round. Wilczewski had a nice round as he bounced a few nice right hands off of the head of Stevens. In round three, Stevens landed a huge counter right that was followed by over thirt unanswered punched which mercifully led referee Earl Morton to stop the bout at 1:46 of round three.
Stevens, 164 lbs of Brownsville, Brooklyn, NY is now 21-2 with fifteen knockouts. Wilczewski, 168 lbs of Roztocznik, Poland is now 22-1.
Henry Crawford scored an eight round unaninmous decision over Kaseem Wilson in a Welterweight bout.
Wit the exception of round three, where Wilson landed a nice left hand that rocked Crawford, Crawford dominted the remaining momets of the fight as he landed his best shots over the last two rounds.com
Crawford, 146 1/2 lbs of Paterson, NJ won by scores of 80-72, 80-72 and 79-73 to raise his undefeated ledger to 22-0-1.
Dennis Douglin survived a first round knockdown to come back to score a four round unanimous decision over Lamar Harris.
Harris caught Douglin witha straight right in round one that sent Douglin to the canvas. The two traded hard shots throughout the rest of the fight with Douglin landing the harder shots with Harris getting some of his own.
In the end, It was Douglain getting the unanimous decision by scores of 38-37 on all cards to raise his record to 5-0. Harris, 160 lbs of St. Louis is now 6-2-1.
Ran Nakash reamined undefeated with a workmanlike fourth round stoppage over William Bailey in a cruiserweight bout scheduled for eight rounds.
An accidental headbutt opened upa cut around the right eye of Bailey in round one. Nakash started dominating the bout in round three as he began to punish Bailey with hard body shots and head blows.
Finally in round four, Nakash continued the assault which led referee Earl Morton to wave off the bout just as Bailey’s corner threw in the towel at 1:49 of round four.
With the win, Nakash, 200 lbs of Haifa Israel is now 13-0 with nine knocouts. Bailey, 192 1/2 lbs of Chesapeake, VA is now 10-17-2

Delen Parsley scored a third round stoppage over Tyrone Miles in a scheduled four round Jr. Middleweight affair.
Parsley scored one knockdown and the fight was stopped at 1:47 of round three.
Parsley, 152 lbs of Brooklyn, New York won his pro debut. Miles, 151 /2 lbs of Camden, NJ is now 1-1.
