Ermano Fegatilli made his professional debut in 2005, and has been forced to combat a number of discrepancies in the business of boxing.

Not the sport; which has been at the heart of his ambition, but the business, which has abused so many combatants over the years.

Finding the right fights has been almost incogitable, and a man who favors activity to delay and fixation during his career has been caught in a relative standstill over the last two years. There is so much preventing the best from fighting the best in boxing, and this occurs at all levels.

Ermano has won three straight bouts, and is the mandatory challenger to Frenchman Romain Jacob, who holds the EBU Super Featherweight title.

As far as team Romain Jacob were concerned; the fight was happening in August. The problem was scheduling. Fegatilli is set to marry his beloved fiancée on August 2nd, but Team Jacob were dead-set on having the fight in France on August 1st.

This put Ermano’s career on gridlock, and forced him to rethink some things.

The sacred occasion will still go on as planned, and Fegatilli remains instated as mandatory challenger for Jacob.

This hasn’t, in any way, fazed Ermano. He intends to capture the title wrongfully taken from him in a controversial 2012 defeat to Devis Boschiero, who in return, lost a narrow split decision to Jacob.

For now, his focus is on June 7th, where he returns to his adopted home region of Liege to box in six-round contest.

“I miss Liege and my local supporters and I’m grateful to the promoter Marc Petit-Jean to give me the chance to fight there once again!” Fegatilli stated. “We, together, make the first attempt on the 7th of June. If it works well and the public follows, he promised me six fights in three years at his gala. It’s gonna be great!”

Boxing in an area with so much value and honor to Ermano will effectively kick off what is certain to be an amazing few months in the life of Ermano Fegatilli. It’s a lovely sentiment, and something which will only spark further motivation towards his dreams.

There are no doubts, Ermano describes himself as “full of confidence”, even during low-points of his career. Everything happens for a reason, and Ermano has realigned his focus, prepared to do what he always has done with his heart on his sleeve and hunger in his eyes — win.

More details will be released soon.
