London (13 June) Young heavyweight star Hughie Fury is looking for his sixth straight professional win this weekend at the Epic Centre, Norwich.

The 6’7″ teenager takes on Tomas Mrazek, a man who took Sam Sexton the distance back in March, this Saturday.

After a first round demolition of durable Czech Republic fighter Ladislav Kovarik, inside round one, last Saturday at Glow, Bluewater, Hughie certainly has momentum and confidence on his side.

The 18-year-old, who made is professional debut in just March of this year, has already fought in Canada, New York, Belfast, Romania and England and on Saturday night he will be looking for his fifth knockout.

He fights on the Shamrock Boxing show where he meets a man that has shared the ring with Mariusz Wach in 2005, fought Hughie’s older cousin Tyson Fury in Dublin in 2009, Gregory Tony in December last year and recently took Sam Sexton the distance in March.

This is certainly a sterner test for the young heavyweight star, who is determined to beat Mike Tyson’s record of becoming the youngest ever world heavyweight champion.

And Hughie, the first ever Irish/British fighter to win a gold medal at the AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships at super heavyweight, will feel confident, having demolished Kovarik at Glow, Bluewater and Janos Finfera in Romania in his last two fights.

That followed his points win over the experienced Moses Matovu at Belfast City Hall, Belfast and knock-out wins over the previously unbeaten Alex Rozman at The Theater at Madison Square Garden, New York and David Whittom on his professional debut in Canada.

Now, he takes aim at Mrazek looking for another convincing win.

The night also features the former Commonwealth heavyweight champion and British title contender Sam Sexton and undefeated Nathan Dale who fights for the vacant British Masters welterweight title.

Also in action is Ryan Walsh, Craig Poxton, Scott Moises and Billy Bird making his professional debut.

Doors open at 6.00pm with the first fight scheduled for 7.15pm.
