Promising 22-year-old Light Heavyweight Kareem Hackett will officially be making his professional boxing debut in Detroit, Michigan – a good distance from his native Ontario, Canada.

We are aware that the main draw of the night will be a much more vocalized clash between Floyd “Money” Mayweather and Saul “Canelo” Alvarez at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. It will be the future that will be held in Hackett’s debut; featured on a soon-to-be announced bill ensconced with young talent from the region.

Hackett, a decorated gym-rat has virtually distributed his glamorous teen-years towards his fiery boxing career. It may not have been the common arrangement, but this tall, broad-shouldered puncher has just about mastered his style of fighting while he hasn’t even laced up his gloves for a pro fight – yet. The dream now lies before him.

Kareem Hackett had a relatively short amateur career, but it surely was a sweet and positive one. His career productivity is at its very best as work in the gym has intensified in the passing months. Hackett’s cardio, sparring, amongst many other in-ring necessities are being worked on through his extended camp at the Champion’s Boxing Gym.

Hackett’s debut was originally scheduled for August 10th in Ontario. The fight was cancelled as an opponent was never finalized for his card-opening showcase bout.

Much information is still to be announced for this event as it comes into fruition. Tickets should be available very soon.
