Monty Meza Clay scored a thrilling 10th round stoppage over Alan Herrera in the final scheduled round of their Lightweight bout.

Meza Clay got the better of the many exchanges in the first half of the fight.

Meza-Clay dropped Herrera in round six from a barrage of punches. In round eight Herrera was cut over the right eye and later in the round he was wobbled from a hard right. Herrera came back in round nine to hurt Meza Clay with a right hand.

In round two, the two traded heavy leather until Clay’s right hands got through repeatedly and continued to snap the head of Herrera back with hard and flush punches until referee Rick Staggewald stopped the bout at 2:00 of round 10.

Meza Clay, 136 1/2 lbs of Pittsburgh is now 36-3 with 22 knockouts. Herrera, 138 lbs is 32-7.

Former amateur standout Ievgen Khytrov annihilated Willie Fortune 30 seconds into their scheduled 8-round Middleweight bout.

Khytrov jumped all over Fortune and the bout was stopped.

Khytrov, 160 1/2 lbs of Ukraine is now 6-0 with 6 knockouts. Fortune, 160 1/2 lbs of Detroit is 17-2.
