Alvarado stops Huerta in four!!!

Mike Alvarado remained undefeated with an exciting fourth round stoppage over Miguel Angel Huerta in front of Alvarado’s home crowd in Denver, Colorado.

Alvarado pounded Huerta against the ropes with about twenty answered punches until referee Steven Blea stopped the bout at 2:22 of round four of the scheduled ten round Jr. Welterweight bout.

With the win, Alvarado, 140 1/2 lbs of Denver will slowly step up from prospect to contender with a record of 24-0 with seventeen knockouts. Huerta of Mexico is now 27-10-1

Good looking Lightweight prospect, Brandon “Bam Bam” Rios scored a fifth round knockout over Carlos Guevra in round five of a scheduled eight round bout.

Rios controlled the first four rounds when he landed a hard six punch combination that floored Guevara in the first minute of round five. Rios finished the show was a thudding uppercut that dropped Guevra that forced referee Curtis Thrasher to stop the bout at 1:11 of round five.

Rios of Denver is now 19-0-1 with twelve knockouts. Guevara is now 12-7-1.

In a battle of pro debuters, Raul Carillo needed just twenty three seconds to stop Nicodemus Barajas in a scheduled four round Welterweight clash.
