The big Cruiserweight Title Fight between current WBO-Champion Marco Huck
and challenger Firat Arslan in Halle/Westphalia, Germany, is just days away.
But already Kalle Sauerland and event organizer Ralf Weber are working on
the next Mega-Fight. After Henry Maske, Axel Schulz and Marco Huck
36-year-old Wladimir Klitschko could be the next big name to appear at the
Gerry Weber Stadion. The offer to the Heavyweight World Champion: 5 Mio.
Euros! Wladimir’s opponent: Marco Huck!

But why? Kalle Sauerland: “Bernd Boente, Klitschko’s manager, has been
talking to Marco directly about the possibility of fighting Klitschko. Now
we have used the official channels to approach them with an offer.” And the
Klitschko-Camp did not take long to respond. After just 20 minutes they
declined the offer! “Of course, we are now excepting them to come up with a
counter offer. We are always willing to hold personal talks to discuss the
terms for such a fight. Then we will see if they will actually put their
money where their mouth is. We definitely want to make this fight happen.”

Klitschko versus Huck – perhaps the fight the heavyweight division has been
waiting for. “We have been working with the Sauerlands for 18 years now and
been hosting great fight nights at the Gerry Weber Stadion. A fight between
Huck and Klitscko would be the absolute highlight. We will do everything
possible to make this fight happen,” said Ralf Weber, General Manager of the
Gerry Weber Stadion.

Weber and Sauerland have come up with a financial plan to support the
Mega-Fight. Weber: “We have made a serious offer to the
Klitschko-Management, which we believe should make everyone involved happy.”

WBO Cruiserweight Champion Marco Huck: “I am very grateful to the Weber’s
and Sauerland’s for trying to give me this opportunity. I will prove to
everybody that I am ready for the Klitschkos.”

But before that, Huck needs to win against Firat Arslan. When a possible
match-up with Wladimir Klitschko could be possible has not been disclosed at
this point of time. Before such fight the current WBA Super Champion
Wladimir Klitschko has to take on WBA Regular Champion Alexander Povetkin
before the end of February 2012, as ordered by the WBA. Weber: “We would
also be interested to stage that fight in Halle/Westphalia. The winner could
face Marco Huck.”

Tickets for the fight on November 3 can be purchased at www.eventim.de and
