ORANGE, Calif. (Oct. 18, 2018) – Thompson Boxing’s “Path to Glory” 8-round main event features unbeaten bantamweight prospect Saul Sanchez (10-0, 6 KOs) of Los Angeles making his main attraction debut against Fernando Saavedra (7-5, 3 KOs) of Mexico.

Sanchez, trained by Joel Diaz and managed by Steve Martini, weighed in at 117.8 lbs. at Thursday’s weigh in, while Saavedra measured 118 lbs.

“I’m ready to go to work on Friday night,” Sanchez said after weighing in. “It’s my first main event and I want to put on a great show for the fans.”

Also on “Path to Glory,” Danny Roman, fresh off his third successful world title defense, will make a special appearance at Friday’s event.

The WBA super bantamweight champion will mingle with fans, take part in photo opportunities, and will sign a number of limited edition Team Roman collector posters (quantities limited).

Roman will be accessible to fans and media at approximately 7:00 p.m. local time.

Tickets for “Path to Glory” are priced at $40, $60, & $100, and are available for purchase on the day of the event (Friday) beginning at 5:30 p.m. local time from the Doubletree Ontario.

All fights will be live streamed on TB Presents: Path to Glory via our Facebook page, YouTube channel, and ThompsonBoxing.com.

The livestream starts at 8:00 p.m. PT / 11:00 p.m. ET with Beto Duran as the blow-by-blow announcer and Steve Kim providing expert, color commentary.
