– Friday, September 30, 2011 8:00pm ET featuring American Mixed Martial Arts Fight League returns to Newtown Athletic Club, Newtown, Pennsylvania. [Free Viewing] “We’ve got some really top notch local Philadelphia, New Jersey, New York metro fighters. Everyone is relatively local so that helps with ticket sales and excitement. We’ve got guys like Chris Wing, who’s a phenomenal fighter out of Philadelphia. He’s fighting Jason Lee. Jason fought on our last two cards. Unfortunately he came up short but he’s a tremendous, exciting fighter. And I don’t think his record shows exactly how good of a fighter he is. And we have some other top guys that I think are not only going to be exciting for the fight but really drive a good crowd in there.” Wing vs. Lee is certainly a worthy main event, and fans will be treated to great fight. “I expect that to be an incredibly exciting match,” McCann said. “Both guys are going to absolutely bring it to the table. And Chris has a huge following in the Philadelphia area. He’s got big support, which is very helpful. I expect there to be a lot Chris Wing fans in the crowd that night. ” Also on hand will be legendary UFC Hall of Famer Dan “The Beast” Severn. “Dan “The Beast” Severn is going to be at the event and that’s pretty exciting for us.,” McCann explained. “Dan will have a table set up at the front, where you can meet and greet and get your picture taken with him. He’s a very nice guy, polite and outgoing, and the fans really enjoy meeting him.”

– Saturday, October 1, 2011 7:00pm ET featuring Blackeye Promotions V – Breast Cancer Beatdown at the WNC AG Center in Fletcher, North Carolina. With the current landscape of Women’s MMA being on shaky ground, Blackeye Promotions is stepping up to the plate to keep the budding sport alive and thriving. In the main event, Strikeforce vet Roxanne Modafferi (14-6) will battle Barb Honchak (4-1) in a 125 lb bout. Modafferi has fought a who’s who of the top females on the MMA circuit but has been out of the public spotlight since her last bout with Strikeforce which was for the title. Now she is ready to kick-start her career back into high gear with the bout against Honchak. Modafferi has shown she is dangerous with submissions and has knockout power. She is a tough draw for anyone in her weight class. For Honchak, this will be her fourth fight in 2011 and the other three have all been victories. Honchak will look to continue her streak against Modafferi. This is a premium cable type of event. You won’t find a better matchup of female gladiators in any other promotion. Watch as these two women show that MMA is not just a boys club anymore. In another high stakes event, Chelsea Colarelli (6-2) fights Patricia Vidonic (3-1) in an exciting 125 lb bout. Colarelli is on a five-fight win streak, all by submission or knockout, and holds another organization’s title belt already. She is the real deal on the ground and a proficient standup striker as well. Vidonic holds a three-fight win streak herself and is also a champion from a different organization. The winner of this contender’s bout might be next in line to face the winner of the Modafferi vs Honchak bout, and for fans of MMA that is a great thing.

– Saturday, October 1, 2011 8:00pm ET featuring SoCal Battle of the Badges 2011Boxing, Pechanga Hotel & Casino, SoCal, California. The men and women of law enforcement, fire protection and other public safety agencies put down their shields and badges, lace up their gloves and enter the ring in support of not only Cops 4 Kids & Communities and other local charitable organizations, but to honor the many fallen heroes and their families. Cops 4 Kids & Communities is a non-profit organization founded by members of law enforcement that assists and encourages children and teens through mentoring, educational, sports, arts programs, field trips, football camps, martial arts, “School of Rock” and more. The organization also has a C4KC Youth Boxing Club. As you can imagine, nonprofits and schools are facing a fundraising crisis right now. This event allows us the opportunity to provide low cost entertainment for the whole family, but also the opportunity to raise money for our youth programs without asking for a direct donation during these economic times and financial uncertainty. The prestigious Pechanga Resort & Casino will once again host this year’s Fifteenth annual Battle of the Badges at their impressive Grand Ballroom boxing venue. This event will take place on Saturday, October 1st with doors opening at 4:00 pm and the first bout starting at 5:00 pm. This charity amateur boxing event promises to be a knockout as the “loaded guns and firepower” inside the ropes meet toe-to-toe all in the name of charity. Twenty-eight policemen, firefighters, Correctional Officers, “ICE” U.S. Immigration officers and more will make this an evening you won’t want to miss.
