Diego Magdaleno
Former world title challenger Diego Magdaleno scored a 3rd round stoppage over Hevinson Herrera in a scheduled 10-round Jr. Welterweight bout at the Events Center in Pharr, Texas.

Magdaleno dropped Herrera with a looping overhand right hook. He scored a second knockdown from a combination that was finished off by a right hook and Hevinson was down for referee Lee Rogers’ 10 count at 2:53.

Magdaleno, 135 1/2 lbs of Las Vegas, NV is now 27-1 with 11 knockouts. Herrera, 136 lbs of Colombia is now 17-10-1.

John Vera scored a 6-round majority decision over Alberto Robles in a Jr. Middleweight bout.

Vera, 151 3/4 lbs of Fort Worth, TX won by scores of 58-56 twice and 57-57 and is now 7-0. Robles, 150 lbs of Houston, TX is now 3-1.

Luis Castro scored an exciting 4-round unanimous decision over Eduardo Garza in a Super Featherweight bout.

Castro dropped Garza in round one after a furious exchange. The fight had many wild exchanges

Castro, 129 1/2 lbs of Edinburg, TX won by scores of 39-36 on all cards and is now 6-1. Garza, 128 3/4 lbs of Mission, TX is now 1-1.
