Hitz Boxing to kick off 2014 season with two action packed “Fight Night” cards

Chicago, IL, Wednesday, December 18, 2014–Bobby Hitz announced today that Hitz Boxing is kicking off its 2014 season with two action packed “Fight Night” cards as Chicago’s longest running promoter returns to the Belvedere Events & Banquets in Elk Grove Village, IL on Friday, January 31 and the The Venue at the Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, IN on Friday, February 28.

“As we wrap up a highly successful 2013 campaign, I am very excited about launching our 2014 season in January at an intimate venue like the Belvedere and then returning to the electrifying atmosphere at the Horseshoe,” said Hitz. “We finished this year with a bang with a card that energized Chicago’s boxing scene and we look forward to carrying that momentum into next year.”

Hitz’ November fight card at the Horseshoe featured two hard fought crosstown battles that resulted in closely scored decisions that have local fight fans clamoring for rematches in 2014. In a battle of undefeated welterweight boxers Nick “Bad Boy” Ramirez (4-0-1, 1KO) bested Roy Navarro (3-1, 2 KOs) for a majority decision, while veteran Antonio “Aztec God of War” Canas (9-1-1, 3 KO) also scored a closely scored light welterweight majority decision over Genaro Mendez (7-2-1, 4 KOs).
