“Renegade” Robles and “Diamond Girl” Quintana Return to San Diego After Success Abroad!

(San Diego) -Two of San Diego’s boxing rising stars come back home on Friday, October 24th, at the new home for local professional boxing, the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Mission Valley, when interim WBC Latino 140lbs. champion Emmanuel “Renegade” Robles (11-0-1, 3KO) and NABF strawweight champion Amaris “Diamond Girl” Quintana (8-2-2, 1KO) headline “San Diego Fights: Back in Business”. Presented by California boxing hall of fame and NABF female fight promoter of the year Bobby DePhilippis, the night is guaranteed fireworks with seven total fights planned for the night.

Robles is coming off a gutsy win in San Francisco last summer where he soundly defeated local favorite Jonathan Chicas, sending his opponent to the canvas in the seventh, while Quintana in her last fight captured the vacant North American Boxing Federation 105lb title with a ten round unanimous decision over the tough Susana Uribe of Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. Now Robles will take on only once defeated Carlos “Guerero” Valenzuela (6-1, 3KO) of Ciudad Obregon, Mexico, in a sure to be explosive eight round affair. Quintana herself will be in a sure to be war with the much more experienced Yesenia “Pequeña” Martinez who hails from Mexico City with thirty fights under her belt. The Quinatana-Martinez bout is also scheduled for eight rounds.

In a special attraction eight round cruiserweight fight, WBC#7 ranked Dmytro Kusher (21-1, 15KO) will take on 71-bout veteran Galen Brown while in a border war, SDG&E’s Joe “The Bull” Delgadillo (1-0, 1KO) faces Edgar Najera (0-2) of Tijuana in a heavyweight fight.
Two more fights flesh out the card including one more female bout.
