After a mixed start in the pro ranks, Glasgow based Irishman Shaun McShane (1-1-1) is using his recent time out, as a catalyst to end his year on a high.

After turning professional with Bellshill based Prospect Promotions in February 2014, the Donegal native has had a busy year with three fights that have seen him progress with him holding a win, a draw and a loss. With a mixed start to his professional career, McShane admits he has enjoyed his start

“It has been good so far, and while some of the results haven’t gone the way I would like I feel I have had three fights that I have come out learning more than I would have had if I had three straight wins, and I am glad that I am getting the opportunity. I think being matched competitively is something that will put me in good stead further down the line.

Looking forward to making his return on November 15th, Mcshane is up against tough bulgarian Radoslav Mitev .

“I have seen Mitev box before, he had a good win over Eddie Doyle In June this year, so I know he will be coming over to push me and give me a fight. I think he will keep me on my toes, but I am chomping at the bit, to get back into the ring as I haven’t fought since June either.

“This will be my fourth fight this year, considering I dont have a television deal I am happy with the start and the experience I have gained, but I am looking to end 2014 on a high as I look to win with my first ko
