EARLY RESULTS FROM YORK HALL

2016 Olympic Gold Medalist Daniyar Yeleussinov, (2-0-0, 1 KO), of Kazakhstan won his second professional fight on Wednesday night defeating Hungarian battle-tested veteran Zoltan Szabo, (24-12-0, 10 KO’s), via six-round unanimous decision at the famed and sold-out York Hall in London, England under the banner of his promoter Matchroom Boxing and telecast on Sky Sports.

Boxing brilliantly and displaying his full arsenal, the 27-year-old Yeleussinov defeated the valiant Szabo by a score of 60-54. The fight was part of the latest installment of the acclaimed JDNXTGEN series.

“I’m very happy with my performance, it was great to fight for the first time as a professional in London and the fans were very supportive,” said Yeleussinov. “I can’t wait to fight here again.”

Despite being dropped twice in round four, Danny Dignum won a decision over Anthony Fox in a six-round super middleweight bout.

Dignum won most the action, but in round four, he was drilled with a perfect right hook to the jaw that sent him to the canvas. He did not get his legs back in the round and his glove touch the canvas for a 2nd knockdown.

Dignum won by a score of 57-56 to remain perfect at 6-0.

Sean McGoldrick won a decision over Craig Derbyshire in a super bantamweight bout.

McGoldrick, 122.8 lbs of Newport, Wales won by a 60-54 score to go to 6-0.

Craig Richards stopped Bosko Misic in a scheduled six-round light heavyweight bout.

Richards dropped Misic with a hard right hand that was followed by a left to the body, and the fight was stopped at 1:15 of round three.
