Brandon McCarthy Signs with Wise Owl Boxing, Set to Make Noise at 135 lbs

Wise Owl Boxing, led by boxing manager Mark Habibi, proudly announces the signing of undefeated lightweight sensation Brandon McCarthy to its elite management stable.

McCarthy, a decorated Irish standout, brings one of the most accomplished amateur résumés in recent memory. The 16-time National Champion compiled an astonishing amateur record of 200-15, earning widespread recognition throughout Ireland and internationally for his skill, toughness, and championship pedigree.

Since turning professional, McCarthy has wasted no time making his mark. He currently stands at 5-0 as a pro and has already demonstrated rapid progression in the paid ranks. After debuting on the respected ProBox platform in a four-round bout, McCarthy advanced to six-round contests by just his second professional fight — a clear indication of both his readiness and the confidence his team has in his ability.

Now training out of the world-renowned Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood, California, under acclaimed trainer Marvin Somodio, McCarthy is sharpening his tools among elite company as he prepares to climb the lightweight ranks.

Wise Owl Boxing, owned by Habibi, manages an elite stable of fighters including highly ranked contender Brandon Adams, who is on the cusp of a world title opportunity, as well as multiple Olympians who have successfully transitioned into the professional ranks.

Habibi believes McCarthy is a natural fit for the Wise Owl family.

“Brandon is the perfect addition to our stable,” said Habibi. “His amateur career is incredibly impressive — 200 wins doesn’t happen by accident. That experience is exactly why he was able to move into six-round fights so quickly against tough competition. He doesn’t shy away from anyone. I love that killer instinct. He’s going to make a lot of noise at 135 pounds.”

McCarthy is scheduled to make his first appearance under Wise Owl Boxing management in April, on a card to be officially announced in the coming weeks.

With his decorated background, relentless style, and championship mindset, Brandon McCarthy now begins the next chapter of his career — one that Wise Owl Boxing fully expects to lead to major opportunities in one of boxing’s deepest and most exciting divisions.
