Brækhus faces mandatory Svensson in Oslo.

”The First Lady” Cecilia Brækhus is returning to the ring on January 28th 2017 to a Scandinavian mega-fight against ”The Swedish Princess”, Klara Svensson.

The two rivals are ranked as number 1 and 2 in the welterweight-division.
The five-time world champion Cecilia Brækhus (WBA, WBC, WBO, IBF and IBO) is putting all her five titles on stake as she takes on the strong and high-skilled technical swede.

The fight was announced at a pressconference in Oslo, Norway, today, just two months after Brækhus impressed with a second-round stoppage of ”The female Mike Tyson” Anne Sophie Mathis.
More than 20 prosent of Norways population was glued to the tv-screens, as nearly 11.000 spectators filled the arena Oslo Spektrum.
Now Brækhus is aiming for a new KO-victory:
– My last fight ended quite quickly. I left the arena without bruises or any injuries at all, and could go straight back to training with Johnathon Banks (Kronk Gym). The main goal for this fight is the same as last time. I am going to be better then Svensson in everything. I will win, and I will end this fight long before the 10th round, says Brækhus.

”The Swedish Princess” Klara Svensson has been aiming for Brækhus since she beat her countrywoman Mikaela Lauren in a tough 10-round interim-fight in September.
– I share Cecilias attitude, because I have the same goal as her. I have been dreaming of this oportunity, and I am very happy that this fight came now. I have what it takes to beat Cecilia, and I am looking forward to face her in the ring, says Svensson.

Training Camp Notes: Sullivan Barrera

Indio, California: OnFriday night, 34-year old Cuban defector Sullivan Barrera (17-1, 12 KOs) will look for redemption against undefeated light heavyweight prospect Vyacheslav “Lion Heart” Shabranskyy (17-0, 14 KOs) for the WBC United States (USNBC) Light Heavyweight Title at Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, California and live on HBO Latino.

Barrera is coming off a hard-fought 12-round unanimous decision loss against current WBO, WBA and IBF Light Heavyweight World Champion Andre “S.O.G.” Ward earlier this year in Ward’s hometown of Oakland, California. The loss to Ward was the first of Barrera’s professional career and in the aftermath Sullivan decided to make some important changes. First, he severed ties with his long-time trainer, Abel Sanchez. Sanchez trains out of Big Bear, California and Sullivan had a desire to train closer to his home in Miami, Florida.

This desire to train in his adopted home state of Florida aided Barrera in joining forces with his new trainer, Derik Santos. Derik is the long-time protégé of world-renowned trainer John David Jackson. According to Sullivan, “I had known about Derik for a long time, since I came to this country. My team and I thought this was the best decision to work closer to home. Camp is going great, we had a long camp. It worked out perfect because I got time to really learn a lot of things from Derik.”

Traditionally, Barrera had a reputation in camp for being quiet and passive during his training sessions. However, his new partnership with Santos has brought Barrera out of his shell. Santos said, “One thing that was funny, I was told he didn’t speak much. That had been the experience where he had been before. I quickly learned that wasn’t to be the case with us. I don’t know why he opened up more with me. Maybe it’s just we clicked, but we spoke a lot. He opened up to me about his life, his boxing and his experiences along the way. I remember telling Luis [Molina, Sullivan’s manager], ‘I thought you said he doesn’t say much.’ Luis said that he was surprised I had gained his trust and his confidence to have such a rapport with him.”

The rapport between Barrera and Santos quickly developed a new strategy and game plan for his upcoming battle with the hard-hitting Shabranskyy. According to Santos, “I really have seen a change from what he was when he got here. It’s not that he wasn’t a good fighter, but technique-wise. He credits the detail, talks and time I spent with him. He says, ‘Coach it wasn’t that I couldn’t do these skill things, it’s that no one really asked me to do it. Everyone just said go forward and use my brute strength.'”

Even though the plan is for Sullivan to rely on his technical skills more than his power, Barrera still would prefer to end the night early. He said, “I must take advantage of my opportunity and do what I do best. It would be great to get a knockout because I know I am going into his home turf and his promoter’s home turf, going to be very tough to get a decision. My goal is to knock him out.”

Main Events CEO Kathy Duva said, “Sullivan put up a great fight in March against Ward. This is his chance to go for the win against another undefeated boxer and I think Sullivan is going to give Slava Shabranskyy more than he can handle.”

Shabranskyy vs. Barrera is a 10-round bout for the WBC USNBC Light Heavyweight championship, presented by Golden Boy Promotions in association with Main Events and sponsored by “Tecate, BORN BOLD,” and Casa Mexico Tequila. Doors open at 4:00 p.m. PT, and the first fight begins at 4:00 p.m. PT. The HBO Latino telecast begins at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT (live ET/tape delayed PT).

Lucian Bute vs. Eleider Alvarez Feb. 24 at Videotron Centre of Quebec City

Alvarez will put his WBC mandatory challenger position to champion Adonis “Superman” Stevenson (28-1, 23 KOs) in danger with an end of April date for this world title fight having already been reserved.
Bute has also set his goal to challenge Stevenson. The veteran southpaw plans to clearly demonstrate that he deserves another wotld title shot, taking on the No. 1 conternder in undefeated Alvarez. Whatever the final outcome, the winner will be the most popular and legitimate challenger for Stevenson, dramatically increasing interest and notoriety of a totally Québécois world championship showdown.

All the ingredients are gathered to heighten popular interest in this fight, which will prove to be one of the most significant in the history of Quebec.

It is a local confrontation between two athletes who chose Quebec as their adopted home, fully integrating in the loal culture and learning French, as well as where they’ve fought the vast majority of their bouts. The result of this major clash will also have enormous repercussions at the international level in the light heavyweight division.

In one corner is former world champion Bute, who has delivered many inspirational performances during his 13 world championship fights (10-2-1, 8 KOs) to become a great star and admired celebrity in Quebec.

The other corner finds unbeaten Alvarez, a world-class fighter for the past three years who has delivered his most brilliant performances abroad, albeit mostly in the shadows of other great stars of Quebec. The former Colombian Olympian wants to establish his true value after having prepared for Stevenson by fighting opponents for more than the past year. He will earn his highest purse, which is similar to what he would have received to fight Stevenson first.

“It is the fans of Quebec in their entirety who will first be delighted with this mega fight and I am convinced that there will be no losers,” GYM president Yvon Michel said. “Although it is difficult to predict the outcome of this confrontation, most likely this fight will be so interesting and close that, eventually the two could get, one after the other, a world championship fight against the powerful southpaw champion of Montreal, Adonis Stevenson.”

“It was important for us to have this fight at the Vidéotron Centre,” added Vice-President Shows & Creative Content of Québecor, Michel Granger. “The last time (the Stevenson-Williams fight) was a success and it will be the same on February 24.”

“The last six months have been tough for me,” Bute explained. “After the Washington situation was settled, I was happy to finally sit down and discuss my next fight. I accepted as soon as I was offered the fight. We’re talking about an undefeated guy ranked number 1 by the WBC. It’s quite a challenge. I tip my hat to Alvarez for putting his position in peril.

“I was expecting the winner of the unification title fight between James Dégale and Badou Jack, but I had no guarantees and I could not afford to wait. My goal is to fight again for a world championship, whether it’s at 168 or 175 pounds, and I did not want to just take a meaningless preparatory fight.

“After evaluating all the options, we came to the conclusion that we had to take this fight,” Alvarez’ head trainer Marc Ramsey remarked. “Of course, there are risks … but it’s worth it. Eleider has long awaited an opportunity to box against someone recognized in Quebec, and people have not yet seen his full potential. He was all smiles when he received the offer.”.

“When Marc called me into his office,” Alvarez commented, “I was wondering what was going on. Generally, when he calls me into his office, it’s not good news. He asked me to sit down and if I wanted to face Bute. I smiled and said, yes. He is the most popular boxer in Quebec, so my motivation will be different. I’m doing this for myself and my family. I want to be world champion and now it’s going through Lucian. I’ve been looking a long time for a big fight like this and for the first time I will be the headliner.”

Tickets went on sale today (Monday, Dec. 12) on the Websites of Vidéotron Centre, Evenko and on Ticketmaster.ca

HBO’S UNTITLED MUHAMMAD ALI DOCUMENTARY BEGINS PRODUCTION

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 12, 2016 – An untitled HBO Entertainment multi-part documentary about the life and career of Muhammad Ali from LeBron James and Maverick Carter’s SpringHill Entertainment and Antoine Fuqua’s Fuqua Films has started production and will debut on the network, it was announced today by Kary Antholis, president, HBO Miniseries and CINEMAX Programming. Directed by acclaimed feature-film director Antoine Fuqua (“Training Day,” “Southpaw,” “The Magnificent Seven”) the documentary will explore Ali’s greatest triumphs and comebacks, painting an intimate portrait of a man who, against all odds, dreamed and achieved the impossible, over and over again.
“Muhammad Ali is indisputably one of the most iconic and distinctive figures in the history of world sports,” said Antholis. “His impact resonates far beyond the boxing ring and is woven deep into the cultural and social tapestry of the second half of the 20th century. From the moment LeBron James told us of his deep visceral connection to Ali’s life and legacy, we were committed to helping him realize this film, and our enthusiasm has only grown as Antoine Fuqua has developed his compelling cinematic vision for telling one man’s incredible journey.”
“It’s tough to put into words how much it means to me to be a part of this project honoring the legacy and telling the extremely important story of the great Muhammad Ali,” says LeBron James. “He transcended sports and used his platform to empower people, which paved the way for all athletes and people of every race and gender that came after him, myself included. It’s important that his story continues for generations to come, and it’s an honor for SpringHill Entertainment and me to be a part of this.”
“Muhammad Ali meant many things to many people, and he is someone who had a deep impact on me from an early age,” says Antoine Fuqua. “Being given the opportunity to tell his story, both inside and outside of the ring, is a privilege, and a dream come true, and I couldn’t have found better partners than LeBron and HBO to help memorialize ‘The Greatest of All Time.’ ”
The story of Muhammad Ali is a study in greatness. A 1960 Olympic gold medalist from racially divided Louisville, Ky., and longtime heavyweight champion, he forged a long and tumultuous career inside the ring, and confronted a chaotic life outside the ring. Through it all, he continued to rise above his own imperfections, and challenge the imperfections of the world around him.
Ali never chose the easy path, and that fierce unwillingness to back down helped galvanize his greatness. It also contributed to his ultimate decline, both inside and outside the ring, as tragic and painful as it was to witness. His personality, his voice, his message and his legacy all endure.
Said Lonnie Ali: “We are at a perfect time in history, and in our lives as Americans, to welcome this special documentary on Muhammad with LeBron James and Maverick Carter’s SpringHill Entertainment and HBO. This documentary will have national and global appeal. I’m hopeful this documentary will engage the audience in a similar way Muhammad engaged his audience and fans. Without a doubt, Muhammad’s life journey provides simple yet extraordinary lessons for all of us, with perhaps the most important one being, to see and embrace the humanity in all people.”
The production team is highlighted by one of today’s most socially responsible and community-minded athletes, NBA superstar and three-time world champion LeBron James.
The film is being produced with full participation of the Muhammad Ali family estate coordinated through Jamie Salter, chairman and CEO of the Authentic Brands Group, the majority stakeholder of the Muhammad Ali Brand.
The documentary will combine archival footage and gorgeous, cinematic recreations that will transport viewers into the ring and at home with “The Greatest of All Time.” The production will also feature never-before-seen photos and footage from private collections of the Ali family and others.
The film is an HBO Entertainment presentation in association with SpringHill Entertainment and Fuqua Films; executive producers, LeBron James, Antoine Fuqua, Maverick Carter, Paul Wachter, Bill Gerber, Jamie Salter and Glen Zipper; directed by Antoine Fuqua; producer, Sean Stuart; written by Steven Leckhart.

Sensational Welterweight War Headlines Special Sunday Edition of Detroit Brawl on January 22, at Masonic Temple in Detroit

Already building a reputation for putting on Detroit’s best boxing shows, promoter Dmitriy Salita and Salita Promotions have done it again by featuring a potentially explosive war in their next show.

In a special Sunday edition of their popular “Detroit Brawl” series on January 22, 2017, Detroit fan favorite and world-class spoiler Lanardo “Pain Server” Tyner (30-10-2, 19 KOs) will return to action to face undefeated Toledo, Ohio, hotshot Wesley “Casanova” Tucker (13-0, 8 KOs) in the eight-round main event.

Once again sponsored by the Greektown Casino Hotel, tickets for “Detroit Brawl” are priced at VIP $123, Box Seats are $80 and $60, Seating is $40, and $20. They are available at all Ticketmaster outlets and Ticketmaster.com.

Known for his powerful fists and granite chin, Lanardo Tyner is a former USBO and USNBC Welterweight Champion and one of boxing’s most dangerous gate keepers. Tyner has never been stopped in his career, despite facing a long list of future champions and top contenders including Canelo Alvarez, Lamont Peterson, Jessie Vargas, and Antonio DeMarco – and given them all tough fights. Tyner holds victories over former world champion Vivian Harris and a then 17-0-1 Charles Hatley. He also stopped then 21-3-1 Tyrese Hendrix and fought to a draw with top contender Adrian Granados.

“I know he’s a good fighter and a cool guy. I sparred him one time. He’s strong and aggressive. Exactly what I like,” said Tyner. “I’m going to try and make it a war. Hopefully he’s down for it. We both like to fight like that – whoever backs up, that’s who is going to lose. I doubt I will lose.”

Tyner says he can’t wait to see all his fans at the fight and looks forward to seeing where he stands in the division by testing himself against another undefeated would-be contender.

“I love to fight in Detroit. I really don’t fight here too often now, so I’m looking forward to fighting in front of all my people and I know he’s bringing a lot of people too, so it’s going to be a great fight. Beating him would mean that I’m still relevant and can still mess up these young punks. He’s stepping up against me. For me, I’m just making sure I still have it.”

Undefeated southpaw Wesley Tucker had over 250 amateur bouts and won several championships including the Toledo Golden Gloves, Silver Gloves, and Junior Olympics multiple times. A skilled counter puncher with above average power, Tucker has, thus far, shown strong ring generalship and a veteran’s confidence, in-ring. Passing the test against Tyner will be a strong indicator he belongs in the discussion of world-class up-and-coming welterweights.

“I know he never gets knocked out and he’s a big puncher, but I am too,” said Tucker. “I was impressed with him. He hit me with a good body shot when we sparred. I’m going to mix it up with him. It’ll be explosive. I love fighting in Detroit because it’s 45 minutes from my hometown. I will have more people there this time than came to my last one and I had over 50 at the last one.”

Promoter Salita says he’s looking forward to putting on this fight for the fans in his adopted city of Detroit.

“This will be a war,” he said. “Neither of these guys ever back up and they can both hit very hard. It’s going to be a great test for Wesley Tucker because only the very best can beat Lanardo Tyner. Fights like this are what I pictured when I started the Detroit Brawl series. This is a TV-worthy fight that either fighter could win. I’m very proud to be part of this great event.”

More fights, opponents and rounds will be announced shortly. On fight night, doors open at 4:00 pm and the fights begin at 5:00 pm.

BRILLIANT YAFAI BECOMES BRITAIN’S 13TH WORLD RULER

Kal Yafai dominated Luis Concepcion to be crowned the WBA Super-Flyweight champion at the Manchester Arena on Saturday night, live on Sky Sports Box Office.

Yafai became Birmingham’s first World champion with a class performance against the two-weight World champion, landing the fight on the cards with scores of 119-108 120-108 117-110

Concepcion failed to make the weight at Friday’s weigh-in so the title was only on the line for the Brit, and he made sure he took his chance with both hands and underlined his dominance with a knockdown in the tenth round on the way to becoming Britain’s 13th World champion.

“It’s unbelievable, it’s going to take a while to sink in. I knew I was going to do it, it was just a matter of how. I just did what I needed to do, got through it. I still feel that I have a lot more in me and plenty more to give, this win will take me up to another level now.

“I always knew I was capable of a win like that. I really didn’t think he was that great in there, I felt from round one that I was winning he rounds comfortably, doing what I needed to do and making sure that I had plenty in the tank in the championship rounds.

“He was tough and physical but he wasn’t as strong as I thought he would be on the inside and he didn’t punch as hard as I thought he would. He had decent power, but not the power that I thought he would.

“Every Olympian and Olympic champion wants to become a World champion – I missed out on the Olympics but this is amazing, and I’ve had a great payday – but this is more than any payday you could ever give me.

“I could have been moved quicker really, I’ve had injuries and we’ve had to wait for the big fights. I think it has come at the right time though and the proof was in the win tonight. I’ve boxed a two-weight World champion and I’ve won very comfortably.

“I feel that I won near enough every round. I did a lot of good things but I did some bad things but I’ll correct them and get back in the gym after Christmas.

“I can’t wait to headline in Birmingham as a World champion, my hands are a bit sore so I might be out for a little bit, but the second I can get in the gym I will be back working and getting ready to defend this belt for the first time.”

Samuel Clarkson Finishes Year with One-Round Destruction of Larry Pryor

DALLAS (Dec. 9, 2016) – Uprising Promotions light heavyweight Samuel “Main Event” Clarkson (19-3, 12 KOs) finished off 2016 with a bang on Friday night at the aptly titled Bomb Factory in Dallas, relentlessly pounding on veteran Larry Pryor until earning a TKO stoppage at the 2:59 mark of the opening round. The victory is the second for Clarkson over the past six weeks and extends his current winning streak to nine consecutive contests.

From the onset of this bout, Clarkson was methodically headhunting, blasting vicious hooks to the body and following them with hammering shots up top. It did not take long before Pryor got a taste of his power, and it quickly became evident that the 11-year pro was in trouble. Defensively, Clarkson looked very sharp as well, stalking Pryor with his hands high while doing a very nice job of slipping punches as he worked his way inside.

Midway through the first frame, Clarkson bullied Pryor onto the ropes and started switching levels so he could not avoid his attack. After unloading a flurry with both hands, Clarkson then crumbled Pryor with a right hook to the body for his first knockdown of the evening.

A second knockdown appeared to come shortly after the first one when Clarkson was again hammering Pryor on the ropes. The Maryland native looked to lose his legs and go down for a second time, but the referee in charge ruled it a push. However, the writing was already on the wall.

As soon as action resumed, Clarkson led with a brutal right uppercut that snapped Pryor’s head back before following that up with a powerful overhand left that put Pryor in a world of trouble. Not letting him off the hook, Clarkson pounded out a violent flurry before finishing off Pryor with another right hook to the body. Pryor again went to the canvas, and that would be the end of the fight.

The official time of the stoppage came at 2:59 of the very first round.

After a strong conclusion to 2016, Uprising Promotions and Team Clarkson now set their sights on a big 2017 that is sure to present some great opportunities for the fast-rising Texas native.

IVAN “THE BEAST” BARANCHYK & BILLEL DIB IN ACTION TOMORROW AT BUFFALO RUN CASINO, IN MIAMI, OK

New York, NY (12/9/16) – Making his fourth straight appearance tomorrow at the Buffalo Run Casino, in Miami, OK, where he has built a strong local following, undefeated junior welterweight contender Ivan “The Beast” Baranchyk (12-0, 10 KOs) will face Wilberth Lopez (15-6, 10 KOs), of Tucson, AZ, in an eight-round bout. Australian junior lightweight contender Billel Dib (20-1, 10 KOs) will also see action on the undercard.

Born in Russia, raised in Belarus and now living and training in Brooklyn, NY, the 23-year-old Baranchyk is coming off an impressive 10-round unanimous decision victory over Chinese amateur standout Wang Zhimin (7-0) that was televised by SHOWTIME’s “ShoBox: The New Generation” series on September 23. Extended the 10-round distance for the first time, Baranchyk, known as a knockout artist, proved he had the stamina and technical ability to expertly outbox his foe en route to winning with scores of 100-90 twice, and 99-91. With the victory, Baranchyk, co-promoted by DiBella Entertainment, Fight Promotions Inc., and Holden Productions’ Four State Franchise, seized the USBA junior welterweight title. It was his third fight on ShoBox, with the other two bouts lasting a combined two minutes and 49 seconds, having scored highlight reel first-round knockouts over Shadi Shawareb (9-0-2) last December and Nicholas Givhan (16-0-1) in March. It was against Givhan that Baranchyk picked up the WBC USNBC 140lb. belt.

Before turning pro in June 2014, Baranchyk culminated his amateur career with a 120-18 record. He won gold at the 2010 Class A Vilnuse tournament, 2011 and 2013 Match Event tournament, 2011 Kostukovichi International tournament, 2011 and 2012 Soligorsk Open International tournament, 2012 Class A Liventsev tournament, 2013 Active Military tournament, 2013 Republic of Belarus Open Cup, 2014 Vitebsk University tournament in Belarus, and was an amateur champion of Belarus from 2009-2014.

Currently ranked no. 12 by the IBF, Baranchyk has thus far dealt six opponents their first professional loss. His adversary tomorrow Lopez, himself, has defeated five previously unbeaten foes. Lopez had won 10 bouts in a row before suffering a majority decision loss in October to 16-0 Juan Ruiz.

World-ranked Australian super featherweight contender Billel Dib, of Sydney, New South Wales, will be featured on the undercard in his second US appearance this year. Rated no. 5 by the WBO and no. 12 by the WBA, Dib will be facing Colombian former world title challenger Carlos Padilla (16-4-1, 10 KOs) in an eight-round bout. Dib is riding an 11-fight winning streak since his only defeat in 2012; a loss he avenged via eighth-round stoppage in a rematch. A pro since 2011, Dib has won the Australian and interim WBO Oriental super featherweight titles, and is also the cousin of former IBF featherweight champion Billy Dib.

SAMUEL CLARKSON FACES LARRY PRYOR ON FRIDAY NIGHT IN FINAL FIGHT OF 2016

DALLAS (Dec. 9, 2017) – Uprising Promotions light heavyweight Samuel “Main Event” Clarkson (18-3, 11 KOs) returns to the ring for the final time of 2016 on Friday night, facing 24-bout veteran Larry Pryor in the feature attraction of a card at The Bomb Factory in Dallas, Texas. The fight comes just six weeks after his last outing when he defeated the ever-durable Rayco Saunders by unanimous decision in Macon, Georgia.

“We are really excited to see Samuel finishing out the year on a strong note,” said Ronson Frank, Uprising Promotions President. “After he handles business tonight, we are setting our sights on a big 2017. Right now, we are looking to take the necessary strides to get him ranked in the top 10 so he can take on better opposition and become a force in the 175-pound weight division. It is just a matter of keeping him busy up until that point because we are ready to take on all comers.”

A Texas native, Clarkson has gone unbeaten since joining Uprising Promotions and is currently riding an eight-bout winning streak. Among those victories included a decision over former world title challenger Cedric Agnew and knockouts of highly touted prospects Jerry Odom and Lavarn Harvell on ShoBox: The New Generation. The 26-year-old has been continually improving and showing significant growth since signing with Uprising Promotions in 2015, and a win on Friday night sets the stage for bigger opportunities in 2017.

“This fight is very important because it enables Samuel to end 2016 with some good activity,” said Rory Frank, Uprising Promotions Vice President. “With another win on Friday night, he continues to become a more appealing attraction, which will lead to him getting bigger fights. Our main focus right now is to keep him busy so he remains sharp and will be ready to go when those opportunities present themselves.”

His opposition on Friday night, Larry Pryor, is a very durable boxer who has faced 15 undefeated fighters during his 24-bout career, and he has only fought four adversaries with a losing record since turning professional. Clarkson and Pryor do share one common opponent in Rayco Saunders, whom Pryor also defeated via unanimous decision back in 2014.

LONDON (9 December) – In his highly anticipated return from back-to-back ‘Fight of the Year’ performances, WBC super-featherweight world champion Francisco “El Bandido” Vargas will take on knockout king Miguel Berchelt exclusively live on BoxNation on January 28th.

Taking place at the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, California, it will get 2017 off to a bang as the Mexican warriors go toe-to-toe in a showdown which is sure to get the juices flowing.

As part of the exclusive output deal BoxNation has signed with Golden Boy Promotions, undefeated Vargas (23-0-2, 17 KOs) and Berchelt (30-1, 27 KOs) will be the first of many big clashes from the leading promoter in the New Year.

The co-main event will see former WBC super-featherweight world champion Takashi Miura of Akita, Japan, look to build on his reputation of fighting the best when he goes in with former featherweight and lightweight contender Miguel Roman of Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.

“Boxing fans know what to expect every time I step into the ring – and that is a war,” Vargas said.

“I am aware of my opponent’s knockout power, but he’s never faced a true world champion, and I am confident I will come out on top.”

Vargas, from Mexico City, is coming off a majority draw with Orlando Salido in a 2016 non-stop action fight that cemented Vargas’ reputation as one of the toughest boxers around.
