‘King’ Arthur Abraham (43-4, 29 KOs) is back on November 21 with a voluntary defence of his WBO World Super Middleweight title against an as yet unnamed opponent at the TUI Arena in Hannover, Germany.

The 35 year-old returns following an impressive victory over domestic rival Robert Stieglitz on July 18, 2015, in which Abraham delivered a devastating sixth-round knockout win to bring a conclusive end to their four-fight saga.

Providence, RI (September 15, 2015)–It was announced today at the Rhode Island State House that undefeated former WBO Jr. Middleweight champion Demetrius Andrade will return to the ring on Saturday night, October 17 when he takes on Dario Fabian Pucheta that will take place at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut.

The bout will be contested for the WBO International Jr. Middleweight title.

Andrade (21-0, 14 KO’s) will be returning for the first time in 16 months, and the October 17th bout will be the fight that will springboard Andrade back to a world title.

Andrade defended his title with a 7th round stoppage over Brian Rose on June 14, 2014 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Pucheta of Benos Aires, Argentina has a record of 20-2 with 11 knockouts. The 28 year-old has won three in a row which includes his last bout when he stopped Bethuel Ushona (32-2) on October 4, 2014 in Windhoek, Namibia.

Team Sauerland has been forced to postpone their special 35th Anniversary ‘Next Generation’ event on September 26 at the Max Schmeling Halle in Berlin, Germany.

Following the withdrawal of Tyron Zeuge, undercard fighter Stefan Haertel is now also out with injury, and the decision has been made to push the show back to a later date.

California, PA (September 14, 2015)–Tomorrow night, on the campus of California, PA, undefeated Super Lightweight, Milton “El Santo” Santiago (11-0, 3 KO’s) will take on Alvaro Ortiz (7-3-1, 5 KO’s) in a bout scheduled for six-rounds.

The bout will take place on a card headlined by undefeated Welterweight Sammy Vasquez taking on Jose Lopez, that will be televised on Fox Sports 1.

Santiago of Philadelphia will be making his 4th start of 2015 and is prepared for this step up in competition.

Tuesday will also be Santiago’s 19th birthday.

“Everything is good. Everything has gone well and I am ready for Tuesday night,” said Santiago.

Santiago will be looking to celebrate his 19th birthday in style with a victory over the native of Ciudad, Mexico.

“I know he is a from Mexico and has a good record. He throws a lot of punches but I plan to give him a boxing lesson.”

Santiago is stepping up in competition and he feels that he is ready for the task.

“It is the right thing to do. I am 11-0 now so I have to fight these kinds of veterans.”

This is the first fight that Santiago has had since he graduated High School in June and he feels that to only be able to focus on boxing will make him a much better fighter.

“It has been a lot easier not having to go to school, study and do all the things that go along with with that. I have more time to train. I can give the proper time to all facets of my training and making adjustments and improvements like sitting down on my punches more.”

In his last bout, Santiago faced his first bit of adversity as he was put on the canvas for the first time in his bout against Jose Miguel Castro on June 20.

“I learned that I have to control myself and keep calm. I was able to shake that off and come back to win each round, one at a time.”

LAS VEGAS (September 14, 2015) – Two Tucson, Ariz.-based fighting prospects – Kamuela Kirk and Brian Grinnell – have been given the shot of a lifetime after injuries have rendered Isaac Vallie-Flagg and Kelvin Tiller ineligible to compete in their respective “WSOF 23: Gaethje vs. Palomino II” preliminary card bout commitments at Comerica Theatre in Phoenix, Ariz. on Friday, Sept. 18.

Kirk (4-1) will replace Vallie-Flagg, who sustained an elbow injury, in the scheduled lightweight (155 pounds) contest against Estevan Payan (16-8) of Tempe, Ariz., and Grinnell (8-6) will fill in for Tiller in the scheduled middleweight (185 pounds) matchup against undefeated Vagab Vagabov (19-0) of Dagestan, Russia.

The 21-year-old Kirk, who will make his fourth start of 2015, is coming off of a powerful performance on July 19, when he scored a first round (3:17) TKO on Edgar Escarrega with a barrage of knee strikes.

Kirk produced submission victories in each of his first three starts. His only defeat, thus far, came via split decision in February.

According to Dan Rafael of espn.com, Daniel Jacobs will defend his Middleweight crown against undefeated Peter Quillin in a much anticipated battle of Brooklyn on December 5 in at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

The bout will be televised on Showtime.

Reading, PA (September 14, 2015)– On Friday night, September 18, boxing returns to the Claridge Hotel in Atlantic City as Kings Promotions returns for a big night of action.

In the main event, Travis Kauffman will take on former world title challenger Epifanio Mendoza.

Kauffman of Reading, PA has a record of 29-1 with 21 knockouts and is riding an 11-fight win streak that has spanned 5 and a half years.

Kauffman has defeated the likes of Malachy Farrell (16-1), William Shahan (7-1), Chris Koval (24-6), Vincent Thompson (13-1) and in his last bout he took out Richard Carmack in one-round on August 14 in Newark, New Jersey.

Kauffman got right back into the gym following the Carmack bout and is continuing to round into shape after a 19-month layoff.

“The fact that I kept in the gym is helping me big time. I think I will be a couple pounds less than the Carmack fight when I weighed 239 pounds. I am able to run more and more following the surgery and It has helped me with my conditioning,”said Kauffman.

In Mendoza, he is facing a guy who has a record of 41-21-1 with 35 big knockouts and has wins over undefeated fighters Tokunbo Olijade, Rubin Williams, Carlos Negron & Ray Recio plus solid wins over Rito Ruvalcalba, Alejandro Luis Garcia, and has fought for the Light Heavyweight championship.

“He has been around a long time. He has the most experienced guy on my resume. He is a big puncher and has been able to stop good fighters, so I have to take him seriously.”

Kauffman is trying to pick up where he left off with the Carmack fight, when he dropped the 300-plus pounder twice with body shots.

“This is basically round two for me. But this time, I would not be upset if I got some rounds in to work off ring rust.”

Kauffman, who signed to Al Haymon, has seen some fighters in the Heavyweight division get some opportunities on the Premier Boxing Champions series and the 30-year is ready for the fight’s that will put him in contention for world title shot.

“I am hoping in November that these big fights will be there. After this fight, I will be 30-1 and I am looking for those kind of fights. I feel I will be ready.”

“I am happy to be staying busy. The injuries are behind me and now I am a mature 30 year-old fighter. I know I am not getting younger, but it is the perfect age for a Heavyweight. I am starting to get noticed again like it was in 2009 but now I have much more experience both in and out of the ring so I know the best is still in front of me. I am a lot more dedicated and after this fight, I am going back down to Texas to work on my conditioning and prepare for November.”

ESPN Deportes will be the exclusive Spanish-language home of Bellator MMA in the United States. Having been the first network to carry the series in 2009, the network announced today the multiyear, multiplatform agreement with six action-packed events slated for the remainder of the calendar year.

The series kicks off on September 19, 2015 at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN Deportes with “Dynamite 1,” featuring Mexican-American superstar fighter Tito Ortiz against the undefeated titleholder Liam McGeary for the Light Heavyweight Championship as the main event. The card will also showcase a one-night, four-man tournament to determine the no. 1 contender in the light heavyweight division between Phil Davis, Emanuel Newton, Linton Vassel and Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal. In addition, for the first time in history, this event will feature a Bellator MMA cage as well as a Glory Kickboxing ring for the added attraction of three major kickboxing matches.

ESPN will be streaming preliminary matches in Spanish starting at 7 p.m. on ESPN3 and ESPNDeportes+. As part of the deal, archival fights will also be made available to ESPN Deportes.

Erik Skoglund (22-0, 11 KOs) and Oleksandr Cherviak (15-4-1, 5 KOs) came face-to-face for the first time at today’s media training in Nyköping, Sweden ahead of their historic IBF Intercontinental Light Heavyweight title fight on Saturday night at the Rosvalla Stora Ishallen at the Nyköpings Arenor.

Skoglund, the reigning champion, defends the IBF strap in his hometown arena, and the 24 year old, who says he has had the ‘perfect preparation’, is counting on local support to give him the edge over his Ukrainian opponent.

‘’I’ve had the perfect preparations and I feel great,’’ said Skoglund. ‘’Honestly, things could not have gone better. I’m in good shape, and now the hard work is done and I’m ready to defend my title on Saturday night.

‘’I’ve seen Cherviak fight many times and I’ve watched him beat up my former colleague Dustin Dirks, so I know what to expect, and I know I have what it takes to beat him.

‘‘I’m going to have a lot of support inside the arena and they are going to be making a lot of noise. That gives me more motivation to go out there and perform to the best of my ability. I’m really looking forward it!’’

The challenger Cherviak, who arrived in Nyköping today, plans to spoil the Skoglund’s celebrations, and following a tough training camp, is confident he can derail the young Swede’s promising career.

BOLTON (14 SEPTEMBER) BY RICO VERHOEVEN: I’ve been to England four or five times now and really love it. Coming from Holland, though, I always have to get used to the differences with the roads. You guys drive on the other side of the road and two days ago I almost got run over! I was looking at the wrong side, the wrong way, walked out and nearly got taken out. It was pretty scary. I nearly had a damn heart attack!

Despite these dangers, I always enjoy going to England and hooking up with the Furys. They feel like family to me. It’s very natural. It doesn’t matter how long I’ve been away, every time I come here it feels like home.

We met about three years ago. They had a training camp in Belgium right on the border of Holland. It was really close. They were getting a lot of Dutch guys in for sparring but the sparring was turning out to be a real problem. Most of the guys they were sparring would quit or be sent away after one session. They all thought, no way, this is not for us. You’ve got one of the best boxers in Europe at the time knocking their heads off with just the jab. It was crazy. They weren’t used to it. For us, as kickboxers, it’s totally different to what we’re used to.

So, back then my trainer hooked us up with them and we started doing some sparring. They came to our gym and we did six or seven rounds. Tyson closed both my eyes inside the first four rounds, which was quite a feat considering we were wearing head guards.

He definitely surprised me. After four rounds my trainer said, “Look, he’s a big guy, he’s now going to start getting tired.” He told me to speed up. Already both my eyes were closed. I couldn’t see a lot. But I still thought I was going to speed up and kick his ass.

It never happened. After four rounds, Tyson changed southpaw! I had four rounds of him fighting me orthodox and then he turned southpaw on me. I couldn’t believe it. He was now southpaw and still kicking my a**. I looked over at my trainer as if to say, “What the hell is this guy doing?”

I didn’t enjoy getting my ass whooped, but it was a great learning experience for me. I was already at a decent level in kickboxing, sparring was always difficult for me to find, and this was something completely new. I liked it. It was difficult to hit him, but I knew if I kept on training and kept on improving, I now had something to work towards. Each time we sparred, I got a little bit better.

I got my respect from them as well. I was different to the other fighters they found in Holland. I just kept coming. Even though Tyson was beating my ass at times, I’d never stop. I’d keep coming back, keep taking my beating and, over time, I got my respect from the Furys. It was mutual respect.

I don’t want to say our sport is tougher, but when you get kicked to the body, kicked to the leg and kicked to the head, it’s not nice. It hurts like hell. But you have to keep going and push through the pain barrier. You can’t just stop. With boxing, it’s just arms. That’s the biggest difference. In kickboxing it hurts when you get a kick right on your thigh; there’s no pain like it, especially when you’re not used to it.

That ability to fight through the pain is definitely something the Fury team like about me. I’m used to being hit and hurt. It mentally makes me very strong. A strong punch to the face means nothing to me. It just makes me go, oh, is that it?

Also, in boxing you have 12 rounds. You have time to have a look around and ease your way into the contest. It’s not like that in kickboxing, though. The fights are much shorter and you’re into the action straight away. My championship fights are fought over five rounds. Most other fights are three rounds. As soon as the bell goes, that’s it, you fight. There is no time to waste.

A lot of people on the outside say Tyson is this and Tyson is that. He’s too big, too slow, he can’t do this, he can’t do that. Stand in front of him, that’s all I say. Then come and tell me he’s lacking in this department or that department. If you stand in front of this guy, he’ll knock your f*****g head off. He’s so gifted it’s crazy.

For a man of his size – so big, so heavy – he can move so well. He’ll be backing up against the ropes and I’ll think, right, now I’m going to take his damn head off! But then he’ll just step to the side and I almost fall out of the ring. I think, how the hell does he do that? He’s leaning on the back leg and is still able to move sideways. It really is crazy. He’s so skilled. He’s a natural. Orthodox or southpaw, it doesn’t matter. It’s amazing to watch him at times.

All in all, I have a good feeling about his chances going into this fight with Wladimir Klitschko. I think he has a very good chance of winning.

Saturday’s welterweight world championship between Floyd Mayweather and Andre Berto will premiere on SHOWTIME® next Saturday, Sept. 19. The delayed telecast of Mayweather vs. Berto will include the junior lightweight world championship bout between Roman Martinez and Orlando Salido II and will be immediately followed by the premiere of ALL ACCESS: Mayweather vs. Berto Epilogue. The Sports Emmy Award-Winning “Epilogue” shines the spotlight on fight week and takes viewers inside the ropes and into the mind of a prizefighter like no other show on television.

Patrick Nielsen and Rudy Markussen both scored KO victories tonight at the Arena Nord in Frederikshavn to set up a Danish mega-fight later this year.

The event was billed as ‘Collision Course’ with both men needing a victory to secure a blockbuster showdown, and the bitter rivals delivered with impressive performances against tough international opposition.

Nielsen, the current WBA International Super Middleweight Champion, was first to fight, sending a clear message to Markussen with a convincing knockout victory over Samir Santos Barbosa.

Nielsen took control of the fight from the opening round, working well behind his southpaw jab and proving too much for his outclassed opponent. A straight left sent Barbosa to the canvas in the second round, but the Brazilian was able to beat the count. In the fourth-round, Nielsen executed a perfect left hook to the liver, to ensure victory and a highly anticipated clash with his former teammate Markussen.

‘’I was pleased with my performance,’’ said Nielsen, who recorded his first KO victory since moving up to 168lbs earlier this year. ‘’It feels great to have got the stoppage. This is the first of many for me at super middleweight. From now on I’m only going to get better and better.

‘’I stuck to my game plan. I used my jab and looked for openings to unload my power punches. I thought I had him in the second but he beat the count and kept coming forward. But I found the opening in the fourth and hit him with a sweet shot to the liver. I knew there was no coming back from that.

‘’Now, I’m ready for the big fights. To me Rudy is just a stepping-stone on my way to challenge for World titles. He may have won tonight, but against me, he will taste defeat again and wish he never come out of retirement.’’

Markussen, who returned from a close to three-year absence from the ring, wasted little time in disposing of his Georgian opponent Ramazi Gogichashvili. Nicknamed the ‘Hard Hitter’, Markussen lived up to his alias by stopping Gogichashvili inside one round.

‘’It felt great to be back in the ring,’’ said Markussen. ‘’It took a lot of training and discipline to get in shape, and tonight, it paid off. I ruled the arena! Gogichashvili is not a bad fighter, and when he hit me, he hit me hard. The pressure was on but I delivered. He hit hard, but I hit harder. I’m still the ‘Hard Hitter’ and everyone knows it’s a big risk for Patrick to fight me.’’

Last night Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing presented the 20th
installmentof the popular “Rockin Fights” series at The Paramount in Huntington, NY and the card more than lived up to its title.

Before a capacity crowd, fast rising Light Heavyweight Joe ” The Irish Bomber” Smith Jr.,(Mastic, NY) took on veteran spoiler Dion Savage, (Flint, MI), in a scheduled 10 round Light Heavyweight match up.

From the opening bell those in attendance knew they were in for an exciting fight as Smith and Savage freely traded punches. Savage showed he came to fight as he withstood an early assault from Smith before answering back with his own power punches.

The pattern stayed the same until late in the 3rd round when a barrage of punches by Smith sent Savage sprawling throughthe ropes. Savage beat the count getting back in the ring and just as the bell sounded endingthe round caught another hard right hand which had him on wobbly legs as he headed back to his corner.

Savage recovered nicely and had a decent round 4 landing good shots on the ever charging Smith. The fight was turning into a battle of attrition as both fighters kept up a fastpace and both landed numerous hard shots on each much to the delight of the crowd. As the bell sounded for round 9 and as he did in round 1, Smith charged right at Savage throwing hard punches with both hands. Savage gamely tried to fight back but Smith finally overwhelmed Savage sending him to the canvas for the second time.

Savage rose at the count of 8 and motioned Smith on as the crowd was whipped into a frenzy. Smith obliged and attacked relentlessly forcing the referee to call a halt to the fight at 2:25 of round 9.
Smith improves to 19-1 16KO’s while the ever so game Savage dropped to 12-8 6KO’s.

fought her way to a 6 round decision over Celene Roman (5-3-1) in a Female Jr. Lightweight bout. After the fight Celine said “her speed was a problem, I am more of a power puncher, but I was unable to get her timing down”

Courtney Pennington (8-3-1 4KO’s) won a hardfought majority decision over Rich Neves (9-3-2 4KO’s) in a 6 round Jr. Middleweight fight. While Neves admitted he “wasn’t able to use his jab enough and edge him out”

Former world champion Peter Quillin stopped unheralded Michael Zerafa in round five of their scheduled 10-round Middleweight bout at the Foxwoods Casino Resort in Mashantucket, Connecticut.

Quillin got the better of the action over the first 4-plus rounds. In round five, Quillin landed a right hand that staggered Zerafa back and a follow-up booming right sent Zerafa crumbling to the canvas and the fight was stopped at

Zerafa was removed from the ring on a stretcher.

Quillin, 160 lbs of Brooklyn, NY is 32-0-1 with 23 knockouts. Zerafa, 162 lbs of Melbourne, Australia is 17-22.

The win for Quillin now sets up a match that has brewing for a couple years with WBA Middleweight champion, Danny Jacobs. That bout will take place on December 5 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Jermall Charlo captured the IBF Jr. Middleweight title with an emphatic 3rd round stoppage over Cornelius Bundrage.

In round one, Charlo dropped Bundrage with a perfect counter right. In round two, Charlo sent Bundrage down with all things a jab. Charlo knocked Bundrage down in round three when he landed a right and followed up with a barrage. Charlo finished the deal with a perfect right hand that sent Bundrage down for a fourth and final time an the bout was stopped at 2:33 of round three.

Charlo, 153 lbs of Houton, TX is now 22-0 with 17 knockouts. Bundrage, 153 lbs of Detroits, MI is 34-6.

Charlo landed 33-107 punches.

Adonis Stevenson retained his WBC Light Heavyweight title with a 3rd round stoppage over Tommy Karpency in Toronto, Canada.

In Round two, Stevenson landed a crushing left that sent Karpency sprawling to the canvas. Luckily for Karpency it came just before the end of the round and he was able to get out of it. In the opening five seconds of round three, Karpency went down again and upon getting to his feet, the referee stopped the bout at 21 seconds of round three.

Stevenson, 175 lbs of Montreal is 27-1 with 22 knockouts. Karpency, 174 1/2 lbs of Adac, PA is 25-5-1.

Terrific prospect, Errol Spence Jr. remained perfect as he stopped Chris Van Heerden in round eight of their scheduled 10-round Welterweight bout.

In round one, Van Heerden started to swell around his right eye. In round four, Van Heerden began to bleed from his mouth. In the same round, referee Alan Huggins deducted a point from Van Heerden for spitting out his mouthpiece.

In round seven, Spence pounded on Van Heerden along the ropes and dropped him for the first time in his career with a chopping left. Spence scored a 2nd knock down with a flurry. In round eight, Spence pounded away on Van Heerden before Huggins stepped in and stopped the bout at 50 seconds.

Spence, 146 1/2 lbs of DeSoto, TX is 18-0 with 15 knockouts. Van Heerden, 146 1/2 lbs of South Africa is 23-2-1.

Prichard Colon remained undefeated by scoring a 4th round stoppage over former Super Lightweight champion Vivian Harris in a scheduled 6-round Super Welterweight bout.

Colon dropped Harris on stomach in round four and the bout was stopped at 1:03.

Colon of Puerto Rico is now 16-0 with 13 knockouts Harris of Brooklyn, NY is 32-11-2.

A world champion at 140 and 147-pounds, the 28-year-old Alexander makes his 2015 debut looking for a performance that will vault him back into title contention. Alexander owns victories over Marcos Maidana, Lucas Matthysse, Randall Bailey and Lee Purdy. The St. Louis-native is 4-2 in world title fights with his most recent victory coming via a dominant decision over Jesus Soto Karass.

The 33-year-old Martinez is coming off of a controversial decision loss to Robert Guerrero, in a fight where Martinez dropped Guerrero for the second time in his career and appeared within seconds of being awarded a stoppage victory. Born in Mexico, but fighting out of Los Angeles, Martinez has fought professionally since 2004 and racked up 10 straight victories between 2009 and 2012.

Born in Barry, Wales, Selby picked up his world title with a dominant technical decision over previously undefeated Evgeny Gradovich in May. The 28-year-old owns a slew of victories over previously unblemished fighters including Joel Brunker, Ryan Walsh, Viorel Simon, Corey McConnell and Stephen Smith. The slick-boxer will be making his first start on U.S. soil on October 14.

The Mexican veteran Montiel has won world titles across three weight classes throughout his long career that began as a 17-year-old in 1996. He won his first world title in 2000 over Isidro Garcia and went on to have title winning performances over Pedro Alzacar, Ivan Hernandez, Z Gorres, Ciso Morales and Hozumi Hasegawa. Born in Sinaloa, Mexico, Montiel is riding an eight-fight win streak heading into this match and returns to fight in the U.S. for the first time since 2011.
