AFortunately, it’s rather easy to get rid of the Google Redirect Virus, which takes people to malicious websites when they click on legitimate search results. Security firm Symantec provides a free downloadable virus removal tool; see tinyurl.com/2dmtozz. here google redirect virus

And you really do want to get rid of this virus, because in addition to redirecting you to wrong websites, it hides itself from antivirus software, displays advertisements and opens an electronic doorway that allows other malicious software to enter your PC.

The virus, sometimes called “Backdoor.Tidserv” by computer security professionals, apparently was intended to make money for its creators by generating traffic for certain websites, collecting data about you for marketers and trying to sell you worthless software.

NIGHT OF UPSETS HIGHLIGHT ROUND 2 AT HARRAH’S IN CHESTER, PA–ORDER FIGHTS ON GFL

CHESTER, PA (March 20, 2011)—This past Friday night a capacity crowd at Harrah’s in Chester, PA a saw a memorable night of boxing as it was a night filled with thrilling action with four big upsets topping the bill.

The card was promoted by Joey Eye Boxing along with David Feldman.

In the main event, Bryne Green squeaked out a razor thin split decision over Ryan Belasco. The difference on the score cards was a flash knockdown that Green scored in round five. Belasco boxed well and Green landed some quick combinations.

When the scores were announced at the end of the eight round bout, many in the crowd booed as they thought that despite the knockdown Belasco had pulled it out.

In the co-feature, it was much of the same as the main event as Georgi Kevlishvilli made his American debut as he took a controversial split decision from Anthony Flores.

Flores used the jab to keep the hard charging Kevlishvilli at bay but the Russian continued to move forward and evidentially stole rounds by trying to dictate the action.

Again many at ringside were bewildered by the outcome.

After the show, promoter Joey Eye agreed with the consensus ringside opinions.

“The two main fights were definitely controversial and we would want to see rematches on those fights. I thought Flores defiantly pulled it out and we will be working to secure a rematch for Anthony.”

“But a night like this just goes to show that we aren’t just blowing smoke when we told everyone we want good competitive fights where before the fight you don’t know who will win. Tonight we saw that as everybody came to win and we look forward to another night like this when we have ROUND 3 on June 3rd”

Local favorite and Radnor Police Sergeant Jamie Campbell was bitten by the upset bug as last minute replacement William Miranda won a four round unanimous decision over Campbell in their Heavyweight bout.

The tone was set early as in the opening bout, winless Ramon Castro finally got on the right side of a decision as he scored a four round unanimous decision over previously undefeated Luis Castro.

Angel Ocasio kept his perfect mark intact as he scored a knockdown en route to a four round unanimous decision over George Santiago.

Teneal Goyco scored a highlight reel knockout with a fourth round destruction over Dennis Morris.

Ladies Lightweight Elizabeth Sherman scored a close split decision over Karen Dulin in a rematch.

Pro debuting Fred Jenkins Jr. was impressive in his pro debut by stopping Scott Bronner in a Light Heavyweight bout.

Rounding out the card was an exciting fight that ended in a draw between Philadelphia based Lightweight Lonnie Jackson Jr. and William Morris

Bute stops Magee in ten to retain IBF Super Middle crown

Lucian Bute made the seventh defense of the IBF Super Middleweight crown with a body punch assault tenth round stoppage over gritty Brian Magee in front of over 13, 000 rabid fans at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada.

Bute came out and over the first few rounds was very effective with the right hook but Magee was competitive as he featured some body work. Magee was doing well at the beginning of rounds but Bute would box well enough to take most of the first five frames. In round six, Bute landed a vicious right hook to the that sent Magee down to a knee. Magee got up but Bute was dominant the rest of the round as he landed some more right hooks and straight lefts.

Just seconds after being sent to the canvas via a low blow, Magee was dropped with another right hook to the body in round seven. Replays later showed that the low blow was indeed a solid and legal punch. Magee came out in round eight looking like a tired fighter from the effects of the body work.

Magee would not go away as he was tough as nails in taking some shots and not giving up in an effort to pull off the big upset.

In round ten, Bute landed yet another crushing uppercut but this time landing flush on the chin that sent Magee to his knees and referee Pete Patgorski waved off the bout immediately at 2:04 of round ten.

Bute, 167 1/2 lbs of Montreal is now 28-0 with twenty-three knockouts. Magee, 167 3/4 lbs of Northern Island is now 34-4-1.

The fifth consecutive stoppage by Bute begged the obvious question: Who is next? Ready to answer that question was Mikkel Kessler, who flew from Denmark to attend the fight and provide commentary with the SHOWTIME broadcasting team. Asked if he would fight Bute in front of the Lucian-loving Montreal crowd, Kessler responded, “Yea, why not?” He later continued, “[Bute] can have his hometown. I’ll kick his [butt] anywhere.”

When questioned if he would be interested in a match with the former WBA and WBC Super Middleweight Champion, Bute commented, “If he’s well enough to fight, I’ll fight anyone.”

Klitschko stops Solis in one due to injury

It didint last long and was far from dramatic but Vitali Klitschko made the sixth defense of the WBC Heavyweight title when Odlanier Solis could not continue at the end of round one in Cologne, Germany.

Solis was doing decent in the first round as he landed a couple of shots with his quick hands. Klitschko was forcing Solis but landed nothing of note. At the end of the first frame, Solis jumped forward and then fell to the canvas after his leg gave out. The action was ruled a knockdown by referee Guadlupe Garcia. Solis got to his feet and was limping badly and the fight was waved off.

Klitschko, 249 lbs of Kiev, Ukraine is now 42-2 with thirty-nine knockouts. Solis, 245 lbs of Miami is now 17-1.

Undefeated Super Bantamweight Teon Kennedy talks about his March 26 showdown with Jorge Diaz

RELIGIOUS GROUPS LATCH ON TO THE GROUPON CRAZE.

States News Service October 13, 2011 Chicago — The following information was released by the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.):

Social deals are going spiritual.

Inspired by their religious callings “* and the $713 million in revenue that social deal pioneer Groupon took in last year “* a growing number of entrepreneurs are making a go of the fast-growing social coupon space with sites specifically targeting religious groups.

Jewish sites Jewpon, Jdeal and OyWhataDeal paved the way late last year, taking their cue from sites like Groupon or Living Social, which offer deep discounts to members on everything from meals to movies to skydiving. this web site groupon portland

While Groupon can get members 40 percent off the cost of hang-gliding lessons in Chicago, for example, Jewpon recently offered half off the “Fundamentals of Talmud” learning system. Jdeal touted a 46 percent break on etrogs, a citrus fruit used for the upcoming harvest festival of Sukkot, while OyWhataDeal members could get half-priced challah bread from Challywood.net.

“I read an article about Groupon and realized there was an opportunity to bring the Groupon model to our Jewish community,” said Jdeal co-founder Jodi Samuels. “We’re really focusing on deals that are relevant to the Jewish community, so people have this incentive to be on our list.” Christian variations followed suit. Last January, Only144.com began staging 144-hour sales for deeply discounted church materials, like $1,000 worth of ministry resources for just $97 in August.

In May came Grouptune, which sells discounted Christian albums and offers free song downloads. ChristianDeals.org, launched a month later, recently offered a 16 percent discount on flip-flops from Christian retailer God Feet.

Next up? Muslim-Deals.com, a domain name that’s already been purchased with the promise of an impending daily deal site.

U.S. consumer spending on social deals is expected to hit $2 billion this year, ahead of the $873 million spent in 2010, according to a September forecast by local media industry consultants BIA/Kelsey in Chantilly, VA. By 2015, spending is projected to top $4 billion.

A recent study by researchers at Rice University and Cornell University found no evidence of daily deal fatigue among consumers, according to co-author Utpal M. Dholakia, professor of management at Rice in Houston.

That’s good news for religious deal sites that have reported some initial success:

New York-based Jdeal has amassed 30,000 subscribers in a year and expanded to Los Angeles, Washington, Boston and Chicago, Samuels said.

New York-based Jewpon has subscribers in Jerusalem and is starting a London site within a month, said Chief Operating Officer Chaim Chernoff.

Brian Giles, the owner of OyWhataDeal, based in the Chicago suburbs, and Nevan Hooker, creator of Only144 in Louisville, KY, say business has been strong enough for them to leave their day jobs. go to site groupon portland

But the long-term sustainability for these upstart deal providers “* including industry leader Groupon “* remains unclear.

Nearly one-third of daily deal sites closed or were acquired by a competitor so far this year, according to daily-deal-site aggregator Yipit.com. Dholakia’s own research found that a third of businesses that participated in a Groupon promotion said it was unprofitable.

Even Facebook, the giant of social media, decided to end its own version of Groupon in August after a four-month trial run. And despite the exceptional revenue, Groupon has yet to turn a profit, reporting a loss of $450 million in 2010.

Religious deal providers are banking on the idea that deep discounts for targeted niche markets will be more relevant to consumers, and generate higher redemption rates by consumers and interest by merchants. By offering discounts from vendors too specialized to market through Groupon, Jdeal reports that 58 percent of its subscriber base have purchased a deal, well ahead of Groupon’s 19 percent, Samuels said.

OyWhataDeal’s approach is even narrower: not only targeting Jewish consumers, but primarily Jews in the northern suburbs of Detroit. Only144 and Grouptune in San Francisco cast their nets nationwide, but narrowed their offerings to ministry materials and Christian music, respectively.

“I’m not interested in the quantity of subscribers. I’m interested in the quality of subscribers,” said Grouptune CEO Matt Shamus.

To get a wider reach, Jdeal has partnered with Jewish media outlets to promote their deals in local markets. Christian Deals is currently giving 100 percent of revenue generated from its deals to merchants to generate interest, said Wes Lemos, the founder of the San Jose, CA-based site.

Still, Rice’s Dholakia questioned whether niche religious deal sites have growth potential. Jewish and Muslim sites oriented around geography may have trouble growing outside of major cities, for instance.

Samuels agreed that consolidation is inevitable, but said the big players in niche deal markets will survive.

“We offer a service that is very relevant to both the consumer and to the merchant,” she said. “We do higher conversion rates, and from the merchant’s point of view maintain good margins because they’re getting a further targeted audience, not just a random person that is walking in with a 50 percent off deal.”

Cotto stops Mayorga in Twelve; Mayorga retires after fight

Ricardo Mayorga did not get the memo as the 10-1 underdog who by most experts opinons was supposed to be fodder, made Miguel Cotto work very hard to earn a twelfth round round knockout to retain the WBA Super Welterweight title in an entertaining scrap at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Cotto was very proficient with his jab and boxing skills as the he was easy to land on the bar brawling Mayorga. Mayorga made it dificult at times for Cotto as some of wild but hard swing got through and even looked like he wobbled Cotto on one occasion. The two engaged in wild exchanges throughout the affair with the challenger giving as good as he received and begged Cotto to fight him in the corner a couple times during the fight.

Cotto was very consistent but had a tough round seven as it seemed like Mayorga was making his last stand and drilled Cotto with a big right in the corner. Cotto got back to jabbing and landing effective body punches over the next few round and it seemed that Mayorga was falling behind on the cards.

In the final round, Cotto and Mayorga both threw huge left hooks with Cotto catching Mayorga flush on the jaw that caused a delayed reaction knockdown scored for Cotto. Mayorga went down holding his hand but got up. Cotto landed a couple of shots and Mayorga just spread his arms out in the corner and summoned referee Robert Byrd fifty-three seconds into round twelve.

Cotto, 154 lbs of Caguas, PR will now look for a summer showdown rematch with Antonio Margarito as Cotto now sports a record of 36-2 with twenty-nine knockouts. Mayorga, 154 lbs of Managua, Nicaragua is now 29-8-1.

“I tried to finish the final round but the pain in my hand was too much,” said Mayorga. “I don’t care about my thumb; I didn’t want it to end like that.”

After the fight, the humble Pride of Puerto Rico complemented his opponent, “[Mayorga] has pretty strong hands and he could beat anyone.”

Mayorga showed a rare bit of respect in return, “As a man, I have to admit when I do well and when I do not. Give Cotto credit,” said Mayorga. “He hits hard and is a great champion.”

Jr. Middleweight Pawel Wolak scored the most significant win of his career by scoring a stoppage victory over former world champion Yuri Foreman after Foreman quit on his stool after round six of their scheduled ten round bout.

Wolak was relentless with his pressure as he continuously drilled Foreman with right hands. Foreman did not handle the all out pressure of Wolak as he landed shots at will. Foreman was not able to box and move like is his nature as Wolak would not let Foreman feel comfortable at all during the eighteen minutes of action.

Wolak, 154 lbs of Mt. Arlington, NJ is now 29-1 with nineteen knockouts. Foreman lost his second in a row and is now 28-2.

“I didn’t feel like myself tonight,” said Foreman. “From the long layoff, I didn’t feel sharp. I felt mushy.”

Baltimore Ravens safety Tommy Zbikowski scored a body punch knockout over Rich Bryant in round one of a scheduled four round Heavyweight bout.

Zbikowski landed a left hook to the chest that sent Bryant down after a delayed reaction. After he got to his feet, referee Russell Mora stopped the fight at 1:45.

Zbikowski, 193 lbs of Chicago is 2-0 with two knockouts. Bryant is 1-3.

Miguel Vazquez retained the IBF Lightweight championship with a twelve round unanimous decision over mandatory contender Lenny Zappavigna.

Vazquez boxed well using an effective jab and occasional right hand. Vazquez opened up cuts over both eyes of the challanger. Zappavigna had a little success when he tried to push the action. Vazquez closed the show by boxing as he did in the early rounds.

Scores were 118-110; 118-110; and 117-111 for Vazquez, 135 lbs of Guadalajara, Mexico and is now 28-3. Zappavigna, 135 lbs of Sydney, AUS is now 25-1.

Middleweight prospect Matt Korobov scored a first round knockout over Michael Walker in a scheduled eight bout.

Korobov landed a perfect straight left that sent Walker down and out.

Korobov of St. Petersburg, FL is 14-0 with nine knockouts. Walker of Chicago is now 19-7-2.

In a competitive Super Bantamweight bout, Jesus Rojas scored a six round unanimous decision over Isaac Hidalgo.

Rojas, 122 lbs of Caguas, PR is now 17-1 after winning by scores of 59-55; 59-55 and 58-56. Hidalgo, 122 lbs of Tuscon, AZ is now 8-7-2.

Heavyweight Eric Molina scored a sixth round knockout over Joseph Rabotte in a scheduled round bout.

Molina dropped Rabotte from a big right in round two and once again in the fifth. Clearly beaten, Rabotte was saved by referee Kenny Bayless in round six after a series of punches.

Molina, 227 lbs of Lifort, TX is now 17-1 with thirteen knockouts. Rabotte, 255 lbs of Myrtle Beach, SC is now 9-16-1.

Lightweight Juan Gonzalez remained undefeated by stopping Jeremy McLaurin in round one in a scheduled eight round bout.

Gonzlaez of Caguas, Puerto Rico is 11-0 with ten knockouts. McLaurin of Coon Rapids, MN is now 8-2.
