Tiffany “No Chill” Teo of Singapore is a rising female martial arts star who competes in ONE Championship’s women’s strawweight division. Teo began training in taekwondo before moving on to compete in boxing and Muay Thai and eventually transitioning to the ONE Championship cage. “The Panda” Xiong Jingnan of Shandong is an upcoming female strawweight contender in ONE Championship. She is known as one of the top three leading female martial arts talents in China. With a professional record of 10-1, Xiong began her career competing in professional boxing and was inspired by her father, who imparted in her values of courage and integrity. Featuring a wide array of skills, Xiong recently bagged a gold medal at the prestigious China Open Brazilian jiu-jitsu tournament in 2017. In her last bout, Xiong made quick work of Filipino wushu specialist April Osenio, finishing her opponent via technical knockout in the first round. Up next, Xiong will take on Tiffany Teo for the inaugural ONE Women’s Strawweight World Championship.

Top Indonesian martial arts talent Stefer Rahardian impressed in his ONE Championship debut by winning the ONE: TITLES & TITANS Flyweight Tournament in August of 2016. Rahardian finished both Yotha Hutagalung and Hendrick Wijaya by first round rear-naked choke to become the tournament winner. Since then, Rahardian has blazed a trail in the ONE Championship cage, winning three additional bouts to cap an unprecedented run as a professional. In the main event of ONE: WARRIORS OF THE WORLD, Alex “Little Rock” Silva wrapped the ONE Strawweight World Championship belt around his waist following a dominant striking performance, unveiling a new dimension to his evolving skillset by putting together dynamic combinations. Figuring in an offensive clinic against his Japanese counterpart, Silva overwhelmed Naito from the beginning of the bout, peppering his opponent with lashing leg kicks and rocking right hands. Although Silva had the upper hand in the first three rounds of the championship clash, he had to overcome a spirited performance from Naito, who did his best effort to wear down the Brazilian challenger in the last two periods of the contest. Relying on his exquisite jiu-jitsu background, Silva managed to defend Naito’s grappling advances to walk out of the Impact Arena with the unanimous decision victory and the prestigious ONE Strawweight World Championship in his possession.

Alex Silva, newly-minted ONE Strawweight World Champion, stated: “I don’t know man, it feels like a dream. If this is a dream, please wake me up. I can’t believe I’m here. Hard work, works. In the co-main event of the evening, Russian veteran Rasul Yakhyaev made a triumphant return to the ONE Championship cage, upsetting hometown hero Shannon “OneShin” Wiratchai in their three-round lightweight encounter. From the opening bell to the last round, Yakhyaev pacified Wiratchai’s exciting cage style by consistently landing his solid overhand right. Aside from taking control in the stand-up exchanges, Yakhyaev also proved his mettle on the ground with a technical grappling showcase, converting several takedown attempts and catching Wiratchai in two near-submission finishes. Yakhyaev punctuated the tactical encounter by grinding out Wiratchai in the third frame, earning the undivided nod from the three judges at cageside.

19-year-old martial arts prodigy Christian “The Warrior” Lee scored perhaps his most impressive victory yet, with complete and utter domination of Japanese martial arts veteran Kotetsu “No Face” Boku. Opening up the contest by taking the action right to Boku, Lee connected on a series of fast and powerful strikes, pushing Boku constantly back up against the cage. After taking Boku’s back however, Lee took the Japanese competitor for a ride with a belly-to-back suplex, sealing the stoppage with hammer fists to record his seventh first round finish.

Former world title challenger Riku “The Outsider” Shibuya of Japan placed himself back on the winning track by capturing an impressive submission conquest of former ONE Strawweight World Champion Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke. After a brief moment on the feet, Shibuya wasted no time in taking the action to the mat, where he worked on the submission finish by latching on a guillotine choke to force the tap and the victory.

Rising Thai martial arts superstar Rika “Tinydoll” Ishige showcased an improved striking arsenal, comfortably exchanging combinations with opponent Rome Trinidad of the Philippines over the course of two rounds before scoring an exciting submission finish. Ishige and Trinidad kept the action focused primarily at the center of the ONE Championship cage for the majority of the bout. Towards the end of the second round however, Ishige took Trinidad’s back, brought her to the mat and sunk in a bout-ending rear naked choke to force the tap.

“The Panda” Xiong Jing Nan of China pulled off a successful promotional debut in ONE Championship, stopping Team Lakay’s April Osenio in the opening round of their catchweight clash. Living up to the billing as one of the top leading female martial arts talents in China, Xiong looked for the early finish by fastening a deep guillotine choke on Osenio. Although Osenio managed to break the submission hold and return to her feet, Xiong charged right back and drilled Osenio with a volley of crisp punches. Xiong then secured the stoppage after dazing Osenio with a staggering overhand right to notch another spectacular knockout.

Highly-decorated Muay Thai legend Sagetdao “Deadly Star” Petpayathai authored another sensational victory in front of a jubilant Thai crowd, defeating Filipino competitor Jimmy Yabo in the first round of their featherweight encounter. Relying on his well-regarded clinch game, Petpayathai scored his third consecutive knockout victory inside the ONE Championship cage by driving a hard knee to Yabo’s midsection, causing him to drop to the canvas in excruciating pain.

Former WBA Featherweight World Champion Yodsanan “Little Tyson” Sityodtong of Thailand made quick work of opponent Dodi Mardian of Indonesia, finishing with a beautiful left hand straight down the middle. In an impressive display of ferociousness, Sityodtong tagged Mardian repeatedly with the kind of punches he became known for as a professional boxer. In the end, Mardian just couldn’t deal with Sityodtong’s power as he fell in the first round by knockout.

Thai wrestling champion Kritsada “Dream Man” Kongsrichai drew loud cheers from the packed crowd with another dominant victory, this time over Filipino competitor Rabin “The Rock” Catalan. Blasting Catalan with a furious offensive featuring his best striking combinations, Kongsrichai took matters to the ground and quickly got mount, finishing Catalan off with elbows and punches.

Kicking off all the action at ONE: WARRIORS OF THE WORLD were bantamweights Tang De Pan of China and Asraful “Warrior” Islam of Bangladesh, who gave fans a spirited effort over three rounds. After a gruelling bout, it was Tang who emerged victorious via unanimous decision.

Reigning and defending ONE Strawweight World Champion Yoshitaka “Nobita” Naito of Matsudo, Japan, is unbeaten in his professional career with a perfect 12-0 record. He owns six victories by submission and one by knockout. The 33-year-old, who made a name for himself at Japan’s world famous Korakuen Hall competing for Shooto as its Flyweight Champion, captured the ONE Strawweight World Championship by submitting Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke in his promotional debut in 2016. Naito makes the second defense of his strawweight belt against Alex Silva.
Alex “Little Rock” Silva of Sao Paulo, Brazil, is a second-degree black belt and Brazilian jiu-jitsu world champion feared for his relentless pursuit of submission finishes. Silva is riding high on a five-bout winning streak, rapidly climbing ONE Championship’s stacked strawweight ranks. He is a technical grappling specialist with a penchant for securing highlight-reel submissions. With steadily increasing confidence, Silva’s last five victories have all ended in spectacular fashion. Shannon “OneShin” Wiratchai of Thailand is one of the most thrilling offensive innovators in ONE Championship. The creator of the OneShin Striking System, Wiratchai developed his own style which incorporates various elements from Muay Thai, boxing, wrestling, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Training out of Tiger Muay Thai and Bangkok Fight Lab, Wiratchai emerges as Thailand’s biggest and most exciting martial arts star. 01 December 2017 – Singapore: The largest global sports media property in Asian history, ONE Championship™ (ONE), has just announced the addition of three new leaders to its senior management team. Hua Fung Teh is named Chief Financial Officer, Mahesh Subramanian is named Chief Technology Officer, and Souvik Dutta is named Vice President of Engineering. The senior leaders have joined ONE Championship to help lead the organization in critical areas for 2018 and beyond.

Chatri Sityodtong, Chairman and CEO of ONE Championship, stated: “I am pleased to announce the addition of three new leaders for ONE Championship in Hua Fung Teh, Mahesh Subramanian, and Souvik Dutta. With global domain expertise in finance and sports, Hua Fung Teh will join as Chief Financial Officer of ONE Championship in January 2018. Teh is currently a Principal at leading global private equity firm TPG Capital, where he is a senior member of the Southeast Asia investment team based in Singapore. In his six years at TPG he has also served on the China and US teams. Prior to TPG, Teh held various leadership positions in the Republic of Singapore Air Force and Singapore’s Ministry of Trade and Industry. Teh was a key member of the team that brought Formula One to Singapore, organizing the first night race in Formula One history in a groundbreaking initiative by the Singapore Government. A graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Harvard Business School, Hua Fung serves on the Board of Commissioners of BUMA in Indonesia. He also sits on the Steering Committee of the Milken Institute Young Leaders Circle (Asia), and is a member of The Forum of Young Global Leaders at the World Economic Forum. As CFO, Teh will be responsible for all areas of finance, accounting, HR and corporate development, including oversight of key strategic projects and partnerships.

Mahesh Subramanian joins as Chief Technology Officer of ONE Championship. Subramanian brings over 20 years of experience in the technology industry with Intel, Siemens, Marvell, and Lucent Technologies to Asia’s largest global sports media property. Subramanian has over 10 years of mobile video streaming experience, including with startups such as StrmEasy and Touchfone Technology in the micro social and mobile content delivery space. Subramanian will oversee all aspects of ONE Championship’s technology and infrastructure, including mobile, OTT, data and technology asset management, network architecture, support, and more.

With a passion for technology and a deep interest in new products, Souvik Dutta is named Vice President of Engineering of ONE Championship. With a decade of experience in the role of VP of Engineering with fast-paced startups, Touchfone Technology and Scoopwhoop, in the micro social and mobile content delivery space, Dutta will be responsible for driving the execution of ONE Championship’s mobile and digital technology solutions. Dutta is a graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.

Reigning and defending ONE Strawweight World Champion Yoshitaka “Nobita” Naito of Matsudo, Japan, is unbeaten in his professional career with a perfect 12-0 record. He owns six victories by submission and one by knockout. The 33-year-old, who made a name for himself at Japan’s world famous Korakuen Hall competing for Shooto as its Flyweight Champion, captured the ONE Strawweight World Championship by submitting Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke in his promotional debut in 2016. Naito makes the second defense of his strawweight belt against Alex Silva.

Alex “Little Rock” Silva of Sao Paulo, Brazil, is a second-degree black belt and Brazilian jiu-jitsu world champion feared for his relentless pursuit of submission finishes. Silva is riding high on a five-bout winning streak, rapidly climbing ONE Championship’s stacked strawweight ranks. He is a technical grappling specialist with a penchant for securing highlight-reel submissions. With steadily increasing confidence, Silva’s last five victories have all ended in spectacular fashion. In his most recent contest, Silva made quick work of the highly-regarded and previously unbeaten Hayato Suzuki, earning him an opportunity for the ONE Strawweight World Championship.

Shannon “OneShin” Wiratchai of Thailand is one of the most thrilling offensive innovators in ONE Championship. The creator of the OneShin Striking System, Wiratchai developed his own style which incorporates various elements from Muay Thai, boxing, wrestling, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Training out of Tiger Muay Thai and Bangkok Fight Lab, Wiratchai emerges as Thailand’s biggest and most exciting martial arts star. In his last bout, Wiratchai made quick work of Rajinder Singh Meena, stopping his foe with a knee to the abdomen in less than 30 seconds into the first round. Wiratchai seeks to continue his winning ways as he faces Rasul Yakhyaev in the co-main event of the evening.

26-year-old Rasul Yakhyaev of Grozny, Russia, is a lightweight who has racked up a solid following over his seven-year professional career. A jiu-jitsu and combat sambo practitioner, he is adept in both striking and mat techniques, and is considered a solid contender with tremendous combat skills. A well-rounded warrior, four of Yakhyaev’s victories have come by submission while three have come by knockout. After establishing a name for himself in Eastern Europe, he made his ONE Championship debut in December of 2015, and now seeks to take his career to the next level against Shannon Wiratchai.

19-year-old Christian “The Warrior” Lee, younger brother of reigning ONE Women’s Atomweight World Champion “Unstoppable” Angela Lee, began his professional career on an absolute tear, railing off five straight victories by thrilling finish. He has impressed fans with his ability to seek out stoppage wins over top-caliber opponents. A former Pankration World Champion, Lee toppled fellow top featherweight Keanu Subba of Malaysia in his most recent bout, winning by third-round submission in a competitive contest to improve his record to 7-1. Known as a creative and fluid striker with unorthodox grappling technique, Lee is now set to face veteran Kotetsu Boku.

Kotetsu “No Face” Boku, although originally from South Korea, is a Japanese martial arts veteran and the former ONE Lightweight World Champion. With more than 30 professional bouts on his resume, Boku has the experience of a seasoned professional and has seen it all inside the cage. Always a crowd pleaser, Boku utilizes his dynamic boxing background with stunning knockout power to subdue his opponents. In his last bout, Boku finished elite Filipino warrior Eric Kelly by third-round technical knockout. He’ll now get the chance to put on a show once again opposite Christian Lee.

Former ONE Strawweight World Champion Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke is a three-time Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai world champion who has a 8-2 professional record as a martial artist. He is known as a technical striker with quick hands and lightning feet, employing some of the most unique and creative offensive combinations. As a martial artist with over 25 years of competitive experience, Dejdamrong is a seasoned veteran. In his last bout, Dejdamrong took on the Philippines’ Robin Catalan to bag a second-round technical knockout victory. Next, the Thai warrior goes up against Riku Shibuya.

Japanese martial arts sensation Riku “The Outsider” Shibuya won the hearts of fans with his exciting, unorthodox style and powerful combinations. With a professional record of 13-4-2, Shibuya has figured in a series of exciting battles throughout his martial arts career. A former ONE Flyweight World Championship title challenger, Shibuya is a veteran and easily one of the most enjoyable competitors to watch. After a short recuperative break in competition, Shibuya returned to the ONE Championship cage against Gianni Subba last August. Shibuya now looks to take on Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke in what should be an intense matchup.

Rika “Tinydoll” Ishige is a 28-year-old female atomweight from Thailand who trains out of Tiger Muay Thai and Bangkok Fight Lab. She is of mixed Japanese and Thai heritage, beginning her martial arts training at age 9 with aikido and taekwondo. Heavily influenced by her late father who trained in judo, Ishige went on to hone her skills as a martial artist, and turned professional earlier this year. All of Ishige’s victories have ended via impressive finish, showcasing her high-level grappling skills. Ishige looks to get back on the winning track when she takes on Rome Trinidad.

20-year-old Rome “The Rebel” Trinidad of Manila, Philippines is set to make her ONE Championship debut. The atomweight competitor is a practitioner of Sikaran, an ancient martial arts discipline which originated from Rizal province in the Philippines. With no written history, Sikaran was passed on from generation to generation by succession. A former National Sikaran Champion training out of Elorde Gym, Trinidad is ready to showcase her skills to the world. She takes on Thai martial arts star Rika Ishige in her first assignment.

“The Panda” Xiong Jingnan of Shandong is an upcoming female flyweight contender in ONE Championship, and is known as one of the top three leading female martial arts talents in China. With a professional record of 9-1, Xiong began her career competing in professional boxing and was inspired by her father, who imparted in her values of courage and integrity. Featuring a wide array of skills, Xiong recently bagged a gold medal at the prestigious China Open Brazilian jiu-jitsu tournament in 2017. With a penchant for scoring highlight reel finishes and executing powerful slams, Xiong has chosen to join ONE Championship as the ultimate test of her skills. Training at Phuket Top Team, and representing Alliance China, Xiong aims to showcase her martial arts talent to a global audience. She faces the Philippines’ April Osenio in her ONE Championship debut.

Atomweight standout April Osenio of the Philippines is a member of the famed Team Lakay and is one of its fiercest female warriors. The 23-year-old trains out of the high altitudes of Baguio City along with her more experienced Team Lakay brothers, such as Honorio “The Rock” Banario and Eduard “Landslide” Folayang. A former National Wushu Champion in the Philippines with solid striking and grappling skills, Osenio looks to climb the atomweight ladder to become one of the top talents in the division. In her last bout, Osenio dropped a submission loss to Taiwan’s Jenny Huang, who went on to challenge for the world title. She now seeks redemption, as she steps into the ONE Championship cage against Xiong Jingnan.

30-year-old Sagetdao “Deadly Star” Petpayathai is a Muay Thai specialist and a four-time Lumpinee Stadium champion who has won every major title in Muay Thai. Concluding his Muay Thai career with a record of 162-62-1, Petpayathai made his professional cage debut last March at home in Bangkok, defeating Malaysia’s Kelvin Ong via first-round technical knockout. Voted by Thai media as one of the greatest Muay Thai practitioners in history, Petpayathai is known for his highly technical knowledge in all of Muay Thai’s varied techniques. In his last bout, Petpayathai finished Mahmoud Mohamed via first-round technical knockout. Petpayathai will be taking on Jimmy Yabo next.

36-year-old Jimmy “The Silencer” Yabo is a former Cebuano Featherweight Champion from the Philippines and a veteran of the ONE Championship cage. The martial artist boasts one of the best finishing percentages in the division, having stopped all five of his opponents by either knockout or technical knockout. Although Yabo has experienced highs and lows throughout his career, the dedicated martial artist is looking to add one more to the win column. A taekwondo and boxing specialist, Yabo will have to go through talented Muay Thai star Sagetdao Petpayathai to earn the victory.

Former WBA Boxing World Champion Yodsanan “Little Tyson” Sityodtong of Thailand is known as a devastatingly powerful puncher, with the ability to utilize his heavy hands to stop foes with trademark combinations. With 47 knockouts in boxing and all three of his victories inside the ONE Championship cage ending in similar fashion, expect Sityodtong to always be on the lookout for an abrupt ending to his contests. Currently riding a two-bout winning streak, Sityodtong will be going for win number three against Dodi Mardian.

Indonesia’s Dodi “The Maung” Mardian is a former Silat practitioner and an Indonesian combat sports veteran. A practitioner of Muay Thai and sanda, Mardian made his cage debut in 2016 after deciding to showcase his talent on the biggest stage of competition. The 33-year-old is looking to make a name for himself in ONE Championship, as he seeks to put his skills to the test in Asia’s toughest proving ground for martial arts. In his next contest, Mardian will take on Yodsanan Sityodtong.

Strawweight contender Kritsada “Dream Man” Kongsrichai of Thailand is a martial artist and one of the most promising young athletes in ONE Championship. He made his promotional debut in ONE’s first ever show in Bangkok in 2016, stopping opponent Kev Hemmorlor via first-round technical knockout. In his last outing, Kongsrichai made quick work of Indonesia’s Adrian Matheis, finishing his opponent via first-round technical knockout. Kongsrichai is now set to return to the ONE Championship cage to give another spectacular performance, this time against Rabin Catalan.

31-year-old Rabin “The Rock” Catalan of Iloilo City, Philippines, is a wushu practitioner and a well-rounded martial artist. Featuring heavy hands and lightning quick feet, Catalan made his first ONE Championship appearance against Filipino compatriot Joshua Pacio in April of 2016, showcasing tremendous heart and determination. A powerful striker, Catalan will step back inside the ONE Championship cage looking for victory against Thai standout Kritsada Kongsrichai.

25-year-old Tang De Pan of Changsha, China is a Sanda practitioner and is currently unbeaten as a professional in martial arts. A former Chinese National Wrestling Champion, Tang is highly-aggressive and relentless, always looking for the quick finish. Making his ONE Championship debut in January of 2016, Tang defeated countryman Zhou Biao with a highlight-reel knockout by slamming his opponent emphatically to the mat. Tang now returns to competition after a recuperative break to face Asraful Islam.

21-year-old bantamweight Asraful “Warrior” Islam of Dhaka, Bangladesh, is a martial artist making his professional debut. With an amateur career that saw him go a perfect 2-0, Islam is the former UFI Bantamweight Champion. Specializing in wushu, boxing, Muay Thai, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Islam is incredibly well-rounded and is ready to put his skills on full display. A former National Wushu Champion in Bangladesh, Islam makes his ONE Championship debut against Tang De Pan.

The Lion City once again played host to ONE: IMMORTAL PURSUIT, featuring the absolute best in local and international martial arts talent. In the main event, Ben “Funky” Askren of the United States retained the ONE Welterweight World Championship with a quick stoppage victory over Shinya “Tobikan Judan” Aoki of Japan. In the co-main event of the blockbuster card, Amir Khan of Singapore withstood a gallant effort from Australia’s Adrian Pang to emerge triumphant in their three-round lightweight showdown.

In the main event of ONE: IMMORTAL PURSUIT, ONE Welterweight World Champion Ben “Funky” Askren of the United States left an indelible mark in what was billed as the last bout of his illustrious martial arts career, defeating Japanese legend Shinya “Tobikan Judan” Aoki by way of first-round technical knockout. It only took Askren 57 seconds to retain the most prestigious award in ONE Championship’s welterweight division. Askren effortlessly secured the stoppage after Aoki pulled his American counterpart into his patented guard, giving the champion an opening to unleash heavy blows with ease. As Aoki started to cover up to defend himself, Askren relentlessly poured down a barrage of solid punches that left the referee with no other choice but to call a halt to the championship clash.

Ben Askren, ONE Welterweight World Champion, stated: “I think this is it. If I get the opportunity to prove I’m number one, then I’ll take the opportunity. I don’t need any more money. I just want to show the fans that I’m the best welterweight in the world. Other than that, I’m out.”

In the co-main event of the evening, Evolve lightweight standout Amir Khan of Singapore figured in his most impressive performance yet, overwhelming lightweight veteran Adrian “The Hunter” Pang with a showcase of impeccable striking and great takedown defense. The 22-year-old Khan consistently kept Pang out of range with his combinations from the outside, while circling away from Pang’s most powerful blows. In the end, all three judges scored in favor of Khan who wins by unanimous decision after three rounds.

A gruelling bantamweight showdown between Brazil’s Leandro “Brodinho” Issa and South Korea’s Dae Hwan “Ottogi” Kim transpired inside the ONE Championship cage, as neither of the two warriors would give each other any quarter for three whole rounds. Although Kim would have his moments on the feet, most of the action took place on the ground where Issa enjoyed an advantage. In the end, the Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt Issa turned in another well-rounded performance to claim victory via unanimous decision.

After pulling off an impressive promotional debut last August, “Mighty” May Ooi of Singapore continued her winning ways inside the ONE Championship cage by toppling Cambodia’s Vy Srey Khouch in the first round via submission. Leaning on her impressive grappling prowess, Ooi made Srey Khouch wave the white flag with a deep rear-naked choke, cementing her place in the organization’s female strawweight division.

A heated featherweight matchup ended abruptly, when China’s Li Kai Wen was disqualified for illegal blows to the back of the head of opponent Ahmed “The Wolverine” Mujtaba of Pakistan. Mujtaba was given five minutes to recover from injury, but was unable to continue after the allotted time expired.

Rising martial arts star Tiffany “No Chill” Teo of Singapore kept her unblemished professional record intact by making quick work of Indian opponent Puja Tomar to win via submission in the very first round. With 53 seconds remaining in the period, Teo latched onto a wrenching armbar to compel Tomar to tap, claiming the victory.

Japanese martial arts veteran Mei “V.V” Yamaguchi pulled off a sensational victory in front of a passionate Singaporean crowd by routing Filipino standout Gina Iniong, solidifying her position as the top contender in ONE Championship’s talented female atomweight bracket. After dealing with Iniong’s signature right hand and takedowns in the first round, Yamaguchi turned the tide in the second stanza by resorting to her superb grappling pedigree. On the canvas, Yamaguchi continuously pummeled Iniong with thudding strikes and tried to bring the bout to a close with savvy submissions attempts. Yamaguchi punctuated the marquee match-up by grinding out Iniong in the third frame, steering the former world title contender to a unanimous decision victory.

Asian martial arts veteran Arnaud “The Game” LePont made a successful return to the ONE Championship cage, submitting the Philippines’ Richard Corminal with an arm triangle choke in round one. After a brief moment on the feet, LePont wasted no time in taking the action to the mat, where he slowly took mount and worked on the submission finish to force the tap.

In the second preliminary bout of the evening, Malaysian standout Muhammad Aiman reinserted his name into the winner’s column by outworking promotional newcomer Yang Fei of China in a tactical three-round catchweight contest. Aiman and Yang employed efficient strategies from bell to bell, with the Malaysian utilizing his speed and power to connect on a handful of thudding strikes on Yang, who responded with solid hooks and takedown attempts. After going back-and-forth for three rounds, Aiman was declared the victor by way of unanimous decision.

Kicking off ONE: IMMORTAL PURSUIT was a high-octane strawweight encounter as the debuting Miao Li Tao of China shared the ONE Championship cage with Cambodian striking specialist Sim Bunsrun. In his first outing as a ONE Championship competitor, Miao delivered an outstanding performance by stopping Bunsrun in the first round. The 25-year-old native of Beijing, China got the job done by catching Bunsrun with a perfectly-executed right cross and then going for the finish with follow-up blows on the mat.

The 33-year-old, who made a name for himself at Japan’s world famous Korakuen Hall competing for Shooto as its Flyweight Champion, captured the ONE Strawweight World Championship in by submitting the Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke in his promotional debut in 2016. Naito makes the second defense of his strawweight belt against Alex Silva in Bangkok this December.

Alex “Little Rock” Silva of Sao Paulo, Brazil, is a second-degree Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt and world champion with a professional record of 6-1. Silva is riding high on a five-bout winning streak, rapidly climbing ONE Championship’s stacked flyweight ranks. He is a technical grappling specialist with a penchant for securing highlight-reel submission finishes. With steadily increasing confidence, Silva’s last five victories have all ended in spectacular fashion. A former NCAA Division I All-American and US Olympian, Ben “Funky” Askren is a collegiate wrestling legend and one of the finest martial artists in the world today. Askren joined ONE Championship in 2014, taking the promotion by storm and capturing the ONE Welterweight World Championship with a resounding technical knockout victory over Nobutatsu Suzuki. Since then, Askren has successfully defended the title on multiple occasions, and has stopped six of his last seven opponents to maintain a perfect 17-0 professional record. In what is being billed as the last bout of Askren’s illustrious professional career, the American is set to defend his title against the legendary Shinya Aoki of Japan.

Global martial arts veteran Shinya “Tobikan Juda n” Aoki of Shizuoka, Japan, is one of the world’s most decorated athletes. He is the DREAM Lightweight Champion, former Shooto Welterweight Champion, and the former ONE Lightweight World Champion. The 34-year-old Aoki is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt under the famed Yuki Nakai and has won multiple grappling tournaments all over the world. Aoki also holds a black belt in judo and is widely considered one of the best pure grapplers in professional martial arts competition today. In his next bout, Aoki makes his ONE Championship welterweight debut, taking on reigning ONE Welterweight World Champion Ben Askren of the United States for the title.

22-year-old Singaporean top lightweight contender Amir Khan is a martial artist with a stellar professional record of 8-2. He is considered one of the most promising young talents to represent Singapore on the international stage of martial arts. Khan is currently riding a five-bout win streak, with all of his victories coming by way of scintillating finish, including one by submission and four by devastating knockout. In his most recent outing, Khan needed less than one round to finish Jaroslav Jartim with a combination of punches and kicks. Next in line for Khan is the always-dangerous Adrian Pang.

Adrian “The Hunter” Pang is a martial arts veteran from Queensland, Australia, with a 22-10-2 professional record. Leandro “Brodinho” Issa is a 34-year-old Brazilian jiu-jitsu world champion black belt from Sao Paulo, Brazil, who trains and competes out of the world-renowned Evolve Fight Team in Singapore. With a record of 14 wins and six losses, including nine wins by submission and two by knockout, Issa has proven to be an exciting competitor with a penchant for spectacular victories. A pioneer of ONE Championship’s bantamweight division, Issa will take on Dae Hwan Kim in his next assignment.

30-year-old South Korean martial artist Dae Hwan Kim owns a professional record of 12-1 with one draw. He joined the promotion in 2013, posting victories over Thanh Vu and Kevin Belingon in his first two bouts in ONE Championship. In 2014, Kim challenged Bibiano Fernandes for the ONE Bantamweight World Championship. With incredible striking prowess and solid grappling ability, Kim is one of the top contenders at bantamweight, and will look to make his return to the ONE Championship cage a successful one when he takes on Leandro Issa.

Singaporean female strawweight contender “Mighty” May Ooi is a martial artist with a professional record of 3-2. A former champion swimmer, Ooi represented Singapore in the 1992 Summer Olympics held in Barcelona. Today, she is one of the country’s most talented martial artists, and a hard-working competitor possessing well-rounded striking and grappling skills. In her most recent contest, Ooi scored a thrilling upset, defeating Malaysia’s Ann “Athena” Osman by first-round submission in her promotional debut. Ooi is now set to make her second appearance inside the ONE Championship cage opposite Cambodia’s Vy Srey Khouch.

Vy Srey Khouch is a highly-regarded Cambodian martial artist and former female boxer who competed in numerous international competitions. She is also a national Khun Khmer champion in her native Cambodia. She made her professional debut in 2015, winning by decision at ONE: KINGDOM OF KHMER. In her most recent bout, Srey Khouch fell just short of victory against Malaysian icon Ann Osman at ONE: THRONE OF TIGERS. In her next bout, she will take on Singaporean women’s martial arts standout, May Ooi.

22-year-old Li Kai Wen of Tianjin is the ONE Featherweight Beijing Tournament 2014 Champion and is one of the most fearsome young competitors from China. Li utilizes his tremendous striking ability and aggression to overwhelm foes with his offense, which has resulted in a series of impressive highlight reel stoppages so far in his young career. On his way to becoming a complete martial artist, Li will be faced with a tough challenge in fellow rising star Ahmed Mujtaba.

Ahmed “The Wolverine” Mujtaba is a Pakistani martial artist competing in ONE Championship’s stacked featherweight division. He owns an impressive professional record of eight wins with only one defeat, with almost all of his wins coming by spectacular finish. Mujtaba is known for his tremendous grappling technique which has led to four submissions out of eight total victories. Mujtaba makes his highly-anticipated return to the ONE Championship cage against Li Kai Wen.

34-year old Japanese martial arts veteran Mei “V.V” Yamaguchi is a female atomweight standout and a former ONE world title challenger from Tokyo. She is the DEEP Jewels Featherweight Champion, and owns seven submissions and two knockouts in her 27-bout professional career. In 2016, Yamaguchi challenged Angela Lee for the inaugural ONE Women’s Atomweight World Championship in an epic showdown that would later win multiple ‘Bout of the Year’ honors from international media publications. In her last bout, Yamaguchi submitted top contender Jenny Huang impressively within two rounds. Yamaguchi will now take on fast-rising Gina Iniong.

Top Filipino women’s martial arts contender Gina “Conviction” Iniong of Baguio City, Philippines, is a six-time national wushu champion and member of the renowned Team Lakay. She owns a professional record of 6-2, with four of her six victories coming by thrilling finish, including two highlight-reel submissions and two knockouts. In her last bout, Iniong impressed once again, defeating tough competitor Priscilla Hertati Lumbangaol by TKO. Next up, Iniong takes on veteran Mei Yamaguchi.

37-year-old Arnaud “The Game” LePont is a lightweight veteran from France who sports a professional record of 11 wins and five losses. A fixture in the Asian martial arts scene, LePont is well-known in local martial arts circles and lives and trains in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. A Pan-Asian Absolute BJJ Champion, he made his promotional debut in 2012, and has since notched two hard-earned victories in the ONE Championship cage. He now returns to action after a short break to take on Richard Corminal.

Filipino lightweight competitor Richard “Lion Heart” Corminal is a Filipino martial artist based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He holds a professional record of four wins and two losses, with each of his career victories to date coming by way of knockout. In his most recent bout, Corminal debuted inside the ONE Championship cage opposite Thai martial arts star Shannon Wiratchai. Corminal now aims for redemption, as he takes on Arnaud LePont in his second appearance in the promotion.

Yang “The Pugilist” Fei of Hubei, China, is a newcomer to ONE Championship, and one of the most promising young Chinese martial arts talents in the game. He sports a professional record of two victories and only one defeat, with both of his wins coming by finish. Making his promotional debut, Yang will seek victory against Muhammad Aiman in a three-round bout.

Former amateur standout Muhammad Aiman of Malaysia is one of Malaysia’s top martial artists. Featuring a well-rounded skill set, Aiman has impressed in his time inside the ONE Championship cage, defeating Hisyam Samsudin by unanimous decision in his first fight inside the ONE Championship cage before stopping Brazilian grappler Eduardo Novaes in his second outing. The 22-year-old is now set to take on another top test when he goes up against Yang Fei.

Tiffany “Soul Crusher” Teo is a female martial artist who competes in ONE Championship’s women’s flyweight division. She holds an unblemished professional record of six wins and no losses, including two submissions and two knockouts. Born in Brunei and raised in Singapore, Teo began training in taekwondo before moving on to compete in boxing and Muay Thai and eventually transitioning to the ONE Championship cage. In her last bout, Teo impressed with a thorough decision victory over Rebecca Heintzman. Teo’s next assignment is against Puja Tomar.

Flyweight competitor Puja Tomar is a martial artist from India with a professional record of three wins and one loss. With a penchant for showcasing her solid striking skills, Tomar has recorded all three of her victories by knockout. Competing largely in her home country of India, the former India wushu champion Tomar now makes her way to the biggest stage in Asian martial arts as she is set to make her ONE Championship debut against top Singaporean talent Tiffany Teo.

Chinese bantamweight prospect Miao Li Tao and Cambodian Khun Khmer practitioner Sim Bunsrun are set to kick off all the action at ONE: IMMORTAL PURSUIT in the evening’s first bout offering. Redemption is a common theme for many fighters, specifically Providence, R.I., heavyweight Greg Rebello (22-8, 13 KOs), making his 15th appearance with CES MMA. Rebello started his run with the promotion at “CES MMA 3” back in 2010 when he earned a unanimous decision win over veteran Tiawan Howard. He’s 10-4 under the CES MMA banner, including back-to-back wins over Danywelle Williams and Kevin Sears earlier this year after losing his world title shot against Ashley Gooch in 2016.

Long considered one of the region’s top contenders, well-deserving of an opportunity to fight at the highest level, Rebello rolled the dice in July when he traveled to Nevada to star on the premier edition of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series, a showcase for up-and-comers and veterans alike to make a positive impression in front of the Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC) president.

Rebello came up short, getting stopped in the second round by Azunna Anyanwu, who ultimately appeared on UFC Fight Night 116 in September. No one would’ve blamed him had he decided to walk away from the sport, but Rebello insists he still has the desire to fight, unlike when he retired in 2013 due to the inability to balance fatherhood and fighting.

On Friday, Rebello faces Derrick Brown (7-4, 3 KOs) of Myrtle Beach, S.C., his 11th fight since announcing his retirement four years ago. Before fighting, Rebello worked as a laborer sand-blasting water towers. With a wife and two children, he now mixes fighting with his new day job as a personal trainer at his wife’s gym in Lincoln.

Rebello has respect for Brown, but warns “he’s never faced anyone like me.” Whether his appearance on the inaugural Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series was his first and only shot at getting to the UFC remains to be seen, but Rebello isn’t even thinking that far ahead.

Asked what he considers the key fight in his career, he says, “the next one,” perhaps an indication that his second run is far from over. As long as the journey remains enjoyable, Rebello will continue to move forward, win or lose.

From redemption to respect, the mood Friday is considerably different for East Providence, R.I., lightweight Nate Andrews (11-1, 5 KOs), who has done nothing but win since his only career loss, five victories in a row, to be exact. His latest challenge, Tyler Combs (14-13, 8 KOs) of Miamisburg, Ohio, is perhaps his shot at earning respect among the top lightweights in the northeast.

Since losing to Gemiyale Adkins in 2014, Andrews has demolished everyone in his path, dusting Jay Bakanowski in just 2:50 at “CES MMA 29” and then beating former world lightweight champion Julian Lane far worse than anyone else on the roster, stopping the six-time CES MMA vet at the 3:58 mark of the second round at “CES MMA 33.”

Combs insists Andrews “hasn’t fought anyone good,” but his last four opponents, including Lane, boast 42 combined wins, including 15-win vet George Sheppard and 14-win vet Bruce Boyington, both of whom he defeated by submission.

Will Andrews get a shot at the CES MMA World Lightweight Title? Only time will tell. A win Friday sets the stage for what could be a banner 2018 as remains a key player in the ever-changing 155-pound division.

While Andrews has become a household name on the regional circuit, undefeated flyweight prospect Richie Santiago (5-0, 1 KO) of Milford, Mass., might be the region’s best-kept secret.

The up-and-coming Santiago, who faces Shawn Mack (0-1) of Grand Rapids, Mich., fights for the sixth time in 14 months and makes his sixth appearance with CES MMA. The rear-naked choke is his weapon of choice as the finishing move in four of his five wins, including an impressive dismantling of 7-fight vet Miguel Restrepo in the second round at “CES MMA 45” in August.

The 25-year-old Santiago basically fell into MMA by accident. He started in 2012 because, as he explains it, “I didn’t have anything better to do after high school.”

Working at Taco Bell wasn’t cutting it, so Santiago hit the mats, and the transition has been seamless. After winning his final four amateur bouts, Santiago made the jump to the pro circuit at “CES MMA 38,” submitting Brandon Warne in under a minute. His win streak, including amateurs, reached nine at “CES MMA 45” in what might’ve been his most impressive win to date.

With the AXS TV platform working to his advantage, stardom could be right around the corner for Santiago. His opponent, who admits he’s been off the radar following a 15-month layoff, is intent on reminding fight fans why he was once considered the No. 1 MMA prospect in Michigan.

Mack was supposed to face Carlos Candelario at “CES MMA 44” in May, but the fight fizzled at the last minute. Now he gets his shot to embrace the national TV platform against one of New England’s hottest fighters.

“He’s young, talented and aggressive,” Mack said of his opponent. “He definitely comes to fight, but nothing spectacular. I’ll beat him wherever the fight goes.”

The “CES MMA 47” main card also features a bantamweight battle between Milford, Mass., native Kris Moutinho (4-1, 1 KO) and two-time CES MMA vet David Garcia (4-3, 2 KOs) of La Grange, Ill.; plus the network television debut of Newport, R.I., featherweight John Douma (1-0) of Newport, R.I., who faces unbeaten Mark Trader (2-0) of Gastonia, N.C.

Debut flyweight Jose Lugo of Woonsocket, R.I., who boasts a 4-1 amateur record, and Groton, Conn., lightweight and fellow debut Tyler Hamilton highlight the preliminary card.

Lugo faces Syracuse, N.Y., native Michael Taylor (1-0, 1 KO), who recently debuted at “CES MMA 46” with a pulverizing win over Jessie Pires on the preliminary card, earning the knockout at 2:43 of the opening round. Hamilton faces Watertown, N.Y., vet Montoyia Swilling (0-5). Also on the preliminary card, Fall River, Mass., light heavyweight Yorgan DeCastro makes his debut against James Dysard (0-2) of Plattsburgh, N.Y.
