ROMAN FURY, brother of World Heavyweight champion Tyson, will make his professional debut on VIP Boxing’s double title card at Doncaster Racecourse on Saturday October 8.

Roman, 25, who never boxed as an amateur is managed and trained by Jimmy Harrington on the recommendation of Tyson and their Dad, John.

He lives near Tyson in Morecambe and trains alongside the Gypsy King and their other sibling Tommy.

Tyson has previously said of Roman: “He’s an aspiring Cruiserweight champion of the future.”

Unlike Tyson and unbeaten younger brother Tommy who was runner-up with partner Molly-Mae Hague in Love Island, Roman is happy to kick off his boxing career out of the spotlight.

Roman who will make his debut over four rounds says: “I don’t want to rush things. I don’t want to box on big bills just because I carry the ‘Fury’ name.

“You can’t run before you can walk and the VIP Boxing shows are ideal for me to learn my ringcraft and build.

“I could have had amateur fights, but I am around professional boxers and learning that side of things.

“Amateur fights would have been a nice experience, but I would rather go into the pro ranks and learn. These shows will improve me.

“I started late and don’t have time to waste two or three years in the amateurs so I have to progress quickly.

“Tyson, Tommy, our Dad and Jimmy all said just get straight into professional boxing.”

Roman who was a scholarship rugby league player got into boxing seriously when his weight ballooned to 19 stone. 

The weight came off when he trained with Tyson during lockdown and will become the ninth member of the Fury family to box professionally when he makes his debut next month.

And he knows carrying one of the most famous names in boxing will still put him under the microscope.

He added: “Being criticised is in my thoughts, but that comes with my name. People look at Tyson and assume we’re all as good as him.

“I have not had any amateur experience so I am doing it cleverly. No matter what I do people are going to criticise so I have to get on with it and do my own thing.

“It’s not like I have never put a pair of gloves on. I have always done the basics of boxing from a young boy.

“I have been around boxing my whole life and I don’t consider myself a complete novice who has just put the gloves on.

“I want to go for titles. I am looking for British titles and like any boxer have ambitions to win World titles.

“I would even love Central and English titles. I would be privileged to win them because that is very, very good. Not many boxers even win Area titles.”

Top of the bill is local boxer Reece Mould (15-1, 6 KOs) who challenges Bradford ace, Hamed Ghaz (18-0, 4 KOs) for the vacant IBO Continental and English Lightweight championship.

The second title contest will be another all Yorkshire battle, when Leeds warrior Zahid Hussein (16-2, 2 KOs) meets old rival, Razaq Najib (12-4, 2 KOs) aiming to avenge a 2019 points loss to his Sheffield rival.

Joining Fury on the undercard and fighting six rounders are Lewis Booth, Jake Bray Jake Goodwin and Sonny Taylor. Bradley Cousins, Josh Hargreaves, Jamie Mellers and Levi Smith box four rounders.

LONDON, SEPTEMBER 27 – The unbeaten Joe McGrail and Steven Cairns head up an undercard packed with next generational talents at Probellum Liverpool II.

Probellum returns to the city on Saturday, October 15 when Peter McGrail headlines a hard-hitting show at the Eventim Olympia.

McGrail steps up to face Nicaraguan dangerman Alexander Espinoza over 10 rounds and is supported by Jazza Dickens’ dangerous fight with Lerato Dlamini and the must-see UK debut of Olympic super heavyweight gold medallist Bakhodir Jalolov. 

Former amateur sensation Peter (4-0, 3KOs) is being moved quickly towards title contention but younger brother, Joe, is an emerging force to keep an eye on too, and he delivered a punishing KO the last time he fought in front of his home fans. 

Cairns (3-0, 2KOs), the well-supported Cork fighter, also produced a highlight reel finish at Probellum’s debut event in the city, earlier in the year, and the self-styled ‘Irish Takeover’ is a super featherweight destined for the top. 

The classy Will Cawley boxes for the third time as a pro, in Liverpool, and the former Great Britain amateur (2-0) is ready to remind boxing fans why he is so highly thought of.

Reading, PA (September 26, 2022)–Rising bantamweight Jonathan Rodriguez took a eight-round unanimous decision over Oscar Vazquez in front of a terrific crowd at The Wind Creek Event Center in Bethlehem, PA

The six-bout card was promoted by King’s Promotions.

Rodriguez, who is promoted by King’s Promotions, took the victory by scores of 79-73 twice and 78-74 to raise his record to 11-1-1. Vazquez is now 15-4-1.

Lightweight James Bernadin remained undefeated with a fifth round stoppage over veteran Jairo Lopez in a scheduled six-round bout.

The time of the stoppage was 1:07 for Bernadin of Lancaster, PA who is pro\moted by King’s Promotions and is now 8-0-1 with five knockouts. Lopez of Mexico 27-17.

King’s Promotions signee Joseph Jackson remained perfect by stopping Anthony Lenk in round three of an eight-round super welterweight bout.

The time of the stoppage was 2:49 for Jackson of Greensboro, North Carolina, who is now 18-0 with 14 knockouts. Lenk of Niagara Falls, NY is 17-10.

Joseph George won a six-round unanimous decision over Juan De Angel in a light heavyweight fight.

King’s Promotions fighter George of Houston won by scores of 60-53 on all cards and is now 12-0. De Angel of Barranquilla, Colombia is 22-16-1.

Julian Gonzalez stopped Rondale Hubbert in the opening round of their six-round lightweight bout

Gonzalez of Reading, PA, is promoted by King’s Promotions got the stoppage at 2:48 and is now 7-0-1 with seven knockouts. Hubbert of Duluth, Minnesota is 14-24-3.

Thanjahe Teasley remained undefeated with a four-round unanimous decision over Maycom Oller Di Silva in a welterweight bout.

ONTARIO, CA (September 26, 2022) – This past Friday at the Doubletree Hotel in Ontario, CA, two undefeated middleweights put everything on the line in the main event on Thompson Boxing’s “Locked ‘N Loaded” card. Joeshon James (7-0, 4 KOs) remained undefeated when he knocked out Richard Brewart Jr. (12-1, 4 KOs) in round seven of their scheduled 8-round bout.

James, who has a significant reach advantage, used his lengthy jab to set up all his power shots. After both fighters felt each other out in round one, James picked up the pace in round two as he landed left hook to the temple that hurt Brewart Jr. The fight was close after the fourth, but James landed a hard right hand to the head of Brewart Jr. in round five, sending him to the canvas. Brewart Jr. showed a lot of heart by getting up and going another round on wobbly legs. In round seven, James landed another powerful right hand to the head, sending Brewart Jr. to the canvas for the second time. This time Brewart Jr. was to hurt to continue, and his corner threw in the towel, ending the fight at the 2:37 mark of round seven.

“I made all the sacrifices needed coming into this fight and I knew I was going to come out on top,” said Joeshon James. “I didn’t want to leave any doubt with the judges fighting in his hometown, so I was determined to get the knockout. Once I hurt him early in the right, I knew it was just a matter of time before I stopped him. I want to thank my family, my coaches, for always being there for me, and Thompson Boxing for the opportunity.”

In the co-main event, featherweight Isaac Avelar (18-5, 10 KOs) scored a minor upset when he defeated Robert Meza Jr. (15-3-1, 8 KOs) by way of unanimous decision. Avelar outworked Meza for most of the fight, as he was landing more power punches. Meza showed a lot of heart but couldn’t keep Avelar off of him as the fight was chest to chest. Both fighters gave the fans a great fight, but Avelar prevailed with a gritty performance. Scorecards 77-75 twice, and 78-74 all in favor of Avelar.

Bout three of the night showcased another all-out war as local fan favorite Ruben Islas (6-1), suffered his first defeat as a pro and was upset, losing every round to Erick Garcia Benitez (3-3, 1 KO). Islas didn’t expect the fight to be so grueling, as Benitez, who made the fight rough and rugged, was landing wild overhand rights throughout the entire fight. When it was all said and done, Benitez won 60-54 on all scorecards, giving Islas his first defeat.

In the second bout of the night, a scheduled 6-rounder in the welterweight division, Esteban “Stone Hands” Muñoz (6-3, 4 KOs) and Miguel Angel Barajas (3-2, 2 KOs) went to war. Both fighters started throwing hard punches and were going toe-to-toe from the opening bell. Barajas, who came into the fight in great shape, weathered the early storm by Munoz, who took an early lead by landing the cleaner shots. Muñoz started to fade toward the later rounds and that’s when Barajas took over. Barajas kept landing his overhand right and it eventually took its toll on Muñoz. Barajas landed a solid combination flurry in the final round and the bout was stopped at the 2:37 mark of round six. The bout was even on the scorecards going into the last round.

The opening bout of the evening saw super bantamweight prospect, David “The Hitman” Salinas (3-0-1, 2 KOs) of Rialto, CA, destroy Alexis Salido (2-4, 1 KO) of Phoenix, AZ in round one of their scheduled 4-round bout. Both fighters were engaging on the inside and Salinas caught Salido with an overhand right, dropping him to the canvas. Salido couldn’t make the 8-count and the fight was stopped. Time was .50 seconds of round one.

CANCUN, September 26, 2022  —  Cristopher “Pollo” López from Jalisco won by unanimous decision 96-94, 99-91 and 97-93 against Alejandro “Conejo” González from the capital, on a 10-round super bantamweight fight that marked the beginning of PROBOX TV activities in the Mexican territory, on card held at the Cancun Convention Center, Quintana Roo, in association with Cancun Boxing.

The fight was a hard exchange of blows by both warriors, each throwing the best of his arsenal in search of victory, putting the fans on their feet from the beginning of the fight, nothing was held back with each fighter trying to finish his opponent as soon as possible.

The first rounds were balanced, with good moments and combinations, giving the impression that López took a slight control of the fight, but González was not far behind and connected his opponent solidly and complicated things for the judges.

As the rounds passed, González was gaining in effectiveness and confidence, closing the fight strongly and feeling that there was some possibility of coming out with the victory, despite that, the judges saw López win with cards that reflect three very different points of view, 96-94, 99-91 and 97-93.

Tony Curtis, Jr. lost a decision in his pro debut.

Alvino “La Cobra” Herrera got the victory by unanimous decision (75-77, 76-75, 76-75) against Edgar “Cruzito” De La Cruz González, in a bout held in the featherweight division over 8 rounds.

Celex “CCO” Castro maintains his undefeated streak by defeating the regal Oscar “Terrible” Mata by technical knockout in the first round, in an 8-round featherweight fight.

By way of points, Mayeli Rosquero from the capital came out with victory over former world champion Guadalupe “Lupita” Martínez, a super bantamweight fight, on a fight that only went 6 rounds.

Puerto Rico’s Jaycob Gómez and Mexico’s Emmanuel “Bola” Reyes fought in a close fight, however, the judges saw a draw with cards of 57-57, in a 6 rounds super featherweight battle.

LONDON, SEPTEMBER 26 – Peter McGrail faces the hardest fight of his career when he headlines a major show in Liverpool next month.

McGrail tops the bill at the Eventim Olympia on Saturday, October 15 and takes on the dangerous Nicaraguan Alexander Espinoza over 10 rounds, in a milestone moment for the former amateur sensation. 

A world-champion-in-the-making, McGrail (4-0, 3KOs) knows a win over Espinoza (21-4-2) will make his rivals sit up and take note as he picks up the pace on his journey to the top of the super bantamweight division. 

McGrail is the star attraction as Probellum returns to Liverpool next month, but he is supported in the co-main event by Jazza Dickens who fights the hard-hitting South African Lerato Dlamini. 

Dickens (31-4, 12KOs) enters into another high stakes contest as he rebuilds towards a world title shot and Dlamini (17-1, 9KOs) – known as ‘Lights Out’ – cares not for reputations having caused an upset in his only previous fight outside of his homeland.

Probellum Liverpool II also includes the must-see UK debut of Olympic super heavyweight champion Bakhodir Jalolov who has a frightening 100% KO record as a pro. 

Peter McGrail said: “Alexander Espinoza comes to fight and does not take a backwards step, so this is easily the hardest fight of my career to date.

wo exciting Youth world title fights have been added to the undercard for the huge IBO World light heavyweight championship showdown between unbeaten local hero Leon Bunn and hard-hitting Irishman Padraig McCrory, brought to you by Wasserman Boxing in association with Probellum. The unbeaten Luca Cinqueoncie from Offenbach, Germany, will put his WBC and IBF Youth World light heavyweight titles on the line against Leon Maric, while Leon Bauer and Hancel Gonzalez are set to collide in battle of the undefeated for the vacant IBF and IBO Youth World super middleweight titles. Both Youth title fights are presented in collaboration with Rainer Gottwald’s KAIF 5STAR Boxing Promotion. 

The unbeaten Luca Cinqueoncie will have home advantage in Frankfurt, as his birth town of Offenbach is only a few kilometers away from the site of the fight on October 22. It will be a rematch between Cinqueoncie and Maric, as they previously fought in May. The German “Rocky“ won the fight on points, but Maric activated a rematch clause to secure another shot at Cinqueoncie. While the fans can certainly expect an explosive rematch between the two light heavyweights, Cinqueoncie does not lack confidence ahead of the fight: “I want to thank Rainer Gottwald and Kalle Sauerland for this opportunity. It’s a huge honor to be fighting on such a big stage, that’s what you dream of as a kid“, he said. “Frankfurt is close to Offenbach and I can’t wait to put on a show for my fans. It’ll be a great fight, but I’ll bring that victory back home!“

In a battle of undefeated super middleweights, 24-years old Leon Bauer from Kandel, Germany, will square off with 21-years old Hancel Gonzalez from Columbia. The vacant IBF and IBO Youth World titles will be on the line. The fight was originally scheduled for September 24 in Ludwigshafen, but Bauer tested positive for Covid ahead of the bout. While he is still isolated at home, Bauer is already feeling better and is ready to resume training in the next couple of days – with the clear goal in mind to be at his very best on October 22 in Frankfurt!

Promoter Kalle Sauerland is excited by the addition of the two Youth world championships to the Frankfurt Fight Night: “It was a pleasure to work with Rainer Gottwald on securing those two exciting title fights! Joe Joyce won the WBO Interim Heavyweight title with an 11th round stoppage over former WBO champion Joseph Parker at the AO Arena in Manchester, England.

In round two, Parker began to bleed from his nose. In round six, he began to bleed from around his right eye.

In round 11, Joyce landed a booming heft hook that put Parker on the canvas. Parker was badly hurt, and the fight was stopped at 1:03.

Joyce, 271 lbs of England is 15-0 with 14 knockouts. Parker, 255 lbs of South Auckland, NZ is 30-3.

Serrano becomes Undisputed Featherweight Champion

Amanda Serrano became the undisputed Featherweight champion with a 10-round unanimous decision over Sarah Mahfoud.

In round two, Mahfoud was cut on her hairline from a clash of heads.

Serrano, 124 lbs of Brooklyn, NY was the WBA/WBO/WBC champion, added Mahfoud’s IBF belt by scores of 99-92 and 97-93 twice and is now 43-2-1. Mahfoud, 124 lbs of Copenhagen, DEN is 11-1.

Nathan Heaney won a technical unanimous decision over Jack Flatley when a headbutt caused a bad gash over the right eye of Heaney in round five.

Heaney won by scores of 50-45 and 49-46 twice and is now 16-0. Flatley is 19-3-1.

Anthony Cacace won a 12-round split-decision over Mark Magnesi in a super featherweight bout.

In round five, Cacace was cut over the left eye.

Cacace, 129 lbs of Belfast, NI won by scores of 117-111, 116-112 and Magnesi took a card 116-112.

Ekow Essuman won a 12-round unanimous decision over Samuel Antwi.

Raven Chapman won a eight-round unanimous decision over Jorgelina Guanini

Maxi Hughes won a 12-round majority decision over Kid Galahad in a lightweight bout.

Hughes, 134 lbs of Rossington, ENG won by scores of 116-111, 114-113 and 114-114 and is now 29-5-1. Galahad, 134.7 lbs of Sheffield, ENG is 28-3.

Terri Harper won the WBA Super Welterweight title with a 10-round unanimous decision over Hannah Rankin.

In round two, Rankin was cut over the left eye from a punch.

Harper, 152 lbs of Denaby was a former 130 lb. world champion won by scores of 98-92 twice and 97-93 and is 13-1-1. Rankin, 153.4 lbs of Glasgow, SCO is 12-6.

Solomon Dacres remained undefeated with a 10-round unanimous decision over Ariel Esteban Bracamonte in a heavyweight bout.

Cyrus Pattinson stopped Jorick Luisetto in the sixth round of their 10-round welterweight bout.

In round six, Pattinson hurt Luisetto with a left hand. Two punches later, he sent Luisetto to the canvas, Pattinson continued to onslaught by landing some hard body shots that were followed up by a left and the fight was stopped at 1:59 as Luisetto fell to the canvas.

Pattinson, 146.4 lbs of Almwick, ENG is 5-0 with three knockouts. Luisetto, 147 lbs of France is 12-5.

Cheavon Clarke remained undefeated by stopping Marcos Nicolas Karalitzky in a eight-round cruiserweight bout.

Clarke dominated the fight and stopped Karalitzky with a barrage of punches at 2:21 of round four.

Pinellas Park, FL (September 23, 2022) – Irish sensation Connor “The Kid” Coyle will meet fellow unbeaten middleweight Felix Cash in a ten round contest for the WBA Intercontinental title Saturday, October 8 at the sold-out O2 Arena in London.

Coyle-Cash will be broadcast live DAZN and on DAZN PPV in the UK and Ireland. This exciting matchup serves as the co-feature to the grudge match between Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn.

The reigning NABA middleweight champion, Coyle’s 17-0 with 7 victories by knockout. Ranked 9^th in the world by the WBA, Coyle resides in Derry, Northern Ireland but trains out of Pinellas Park, FL. On September 17, the 32-year-old dominated veteran Silverio Ortiz over eight rounds. Prior to that, he scored a spirited ten round decision against Antonio Todd to capture the NABA title.

Hailing from Berkshire, United Kingdom, Cash is 15-0 with 10 KO’s. On February 12, Cash won the WBC International middleweight title by defeating previously unbeaten Magomed Madiev via ten round decision. The 29-year-old also owns impressive victories against then-undefeated Denzel Bentley via third round stoppage and Jack Cullen, who Cash halted in the 8^th. The highly regarded Cash is ranked 4^th by the WBO, 10^th by the IBF, 12^th by the WBA.

“I’m excited about this fight because the winner could be fighting for a world title in the near future,” said Coyle. “Its going to be a great night of boxing and there’s going to be a huge crowd at the O2 Arena plus all the fans watching around the world on DAZN. Coyle’s promoter, Jody Caliguire of Fire Fist Boxing Promotions, sees the Cash fight as a perfect opportunity for Connor to become recognized as a top middleweight.

“This fight is going to steal the show,” said Caliguire. “This is a huge platform for both Connor and Felix. Both fighters have undefeated records and are highly ranked but are looking for that signature victory to get their name into the world title picture. Connor’s worked incredibly hard and made many sacrifices for his boxing career. I’m confident that everybody will know who he is after October 8.”

Shakur Stevenson lost his WBO/WBC Junior Lightweight titles on Thursday when he failed to make weight for his title defense against Robson Conceicao, but was able to pound out a 12-round unanimous decision at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.

In round four, Stevenson dropped Conceicao with a straight left hand.

Stevenson of Newark won by scores of 117-109, 118-108 and 117-109 and is now 19-0. Conceicao of Brazil is 17-2.

Davis Stops Tienda in 5

Keyshawn Davis remained undefeated with a fifth round stoppage of Omar Tienda in an eight-round lightweight bout.

In round five, Davis dropped Tienda with a step-back right hand. With Tienda hurt, Davis landed a vicious flurry that was highlighted by a hard left hand and the fight was stopped at 1:38.

Davis, of Roanoke, VA is 6-0 with five knockouts. Tienda of Guadalupe, MEX is 25-6.

PHILADELPHIA (September 22, 2022)– A huge night of boxing comes to the 2300 Arena on Saturday, October 1st as Philly favorite, bantamweight Christian Carto takes part in the eight-round main event against once-beaten Hector Andres Sosa.

The eight-bout card is promoted by King’s Promotions.

Carto of Philadelphia is 19-1 with 13 knockouts. The 25 year-old is in his sixth year as a professional, and has quality wins over Alonso Melendez (14-1) and James Smith (12-1). Carto has two consecutive first round knockouts, with his most recent being over Ernesto Sebastian Franzolini on April 22nd at The 2300 Arena.

Sosa of Buenos Aires, Argentina is 14-1 with eight knockouts. The former South American Bantamweight champion is 26 years-old and has wins over Gonzalo Roman Garay (1-0) & Ckari Cani Mansilla (15-1), Sosa is coming off a unanimous decision over Jose Armando Valdes Bernal on September 2nd in Sinaloa, Mexico.

The six-round co-feature will pit one of the top prospects in the sport as it will be a battle of undefeated light heavyweight Atif Oberlton and Christian Thomas.

Oberlton, 24, of Philadelphia boasts a mark of 6-0 with five knockouts. The fighter known as “Lord Pretty Calvo” has faced veteran competition in his early career. He has wins over Jasper McCargo (4-1-2), Erbest Amuzu (26-5) and his last bout when he took a unanimous decision over Robert Burwell on August 20th in Hollywood, Florida.

CANCUN, September 22, 2022  —  The OFFICIAL WEIGH-IN took place today at Oasis Resort in Cancun for ProBox TV, Marquez Promotions and Pepe Gomez’ Cancun Boxing for tomorrow’s boxing card also at the Oasis Resort.   Five fights will be streamed live on ProBox TV and the ProBox App beginning at 9:00 pm ET / 6 pm PT.

In Friday’s main event Cristopher “Pollo” Lopez (15-0-1, 10 KOs), from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, will battle Alejandro “El Conejo” Diaz (11-4-2, 6 KOs), from Mexico City, Mexico for a WBC Regional Title. Of the ten fighters on the televised portion of the card, seven are Mexicans, as that is the plan moving forward – Mexican prospects on the Mexican shows.

New York, September 21, 2022. —  Heather “The Heat” Hardy versus Calista Silgado will be the main event of a six bout card stacked with local boxers on her much anticipated return to the ring on Thursday, October 13.  The card, tabbed “New Beginnings,” will take place at Sony Hall, in the heart of Times Square, mid-town Manhattan.

Hardy-Silgado will be a six round lightweight bout.  In the co-feature will be Ivan Golub, a native of the Ukraine who currently resides in Brooklyn.  The remainder of the card includes Andy Dominguez of the Bronx, Lebanon native Nadim Salloum now residing in Brooklyn, Orville Crooks who hails from the Bedford-Stuyvesant area of Brooklyn and Armenian Petros Ananyan who resides in Los Angeles.

The card is being promoted by Boxing Insider, who is making their professional boxing promotional debut.

Heather Hardy (22-2, 4 KO’s), Brooklyn born and raised and former World Boxing Organization Featherweight Champion, will bring “The Heat” back after 17 months of inactivity as she mounts another run at a world championship.  Hardy is currently ranked #12 in the lightweight division by the Women’s International Boxing Association.  Heather is a graduate of John Jay College in Brooklyn, began boxing in the gym at age twenty-four and made her professional debut in 2014 at the tender age of twenty-eight. In 2013 she won the vacant UBF International super bantamweight title and in 2014 won the WBC International super bantamweight title, which she successfully defended five times. On October 27, 2018, Heather became world champion, winning the WBO featherweight title with a unanimous decision win over Shelly Vincent at Madison Square Garden. Heather lost the title the following September to Amanda Serrano in a clash of women boxing stars.

“I’m glad to be working with Boxing Insider promotions. It’s great to start now so when it comes time to retire from fighting, it’s a way to keep me involved in the sport,” said Hardy who is not only headlining the event but also has a big behind the scenes role. “It has given me the opportunity to use all the knowledge I have acquired over the years as a fighter to help create this platform that is going to elevate the next generation of fighters from New York.”

Calista Silgado (20-15, 15 KOs) from Santiago de Tolu, Colombia made her professional debut in 2012 and is an eight-time world title challenger. She also fought in a bare-knuckle fight in October 2021.

In a co-feature, Ivan Golub, a native of the Ukraine who currently resides in Brooklyn, will be putting his USBA welterweight title on the line in a yet to be determined opponent.  Golub (20-1, 15 KO’s), known as “The Volk,” is ranked #7 in the world by the International Boxing Federation. 

Fans at Sony Hall will also get a chance to see Andy Dominguez (7-0, 5 KO’s) of the Bronx, a dynamic flyweight who currently holds the World Boxing Association Fedecentro title, which he puts on the line. At 18 years of age, he is already 14th in the world in the WBA rankings.  

The unpredictable Nadim Salloum (8-1, 3 KO’s), the first pro fighter born and raised in Lebanon, will be seen in a six-round light heavyweight bout. Salloum, who now lives in Brooklyn, has a large and vocal following among his countrymen in the New York City area. 

Another light heavyweight on the card is Orville Crooks (3-0, 2 KO’s), one of best amateurs New York has produced in recent years. Crooks, who hails from the Bedford-Stuyvesant area of Brooklyn, is both a U.S. Amateur champion and a National Golden Gloves champion. For him, the sky is truly the limit. 

In an eight-round super lightweight bout will be former World Boxing Association Continental Americas Super Lightweight Champion Petros Ananyan (16-3-2, 7 KOs), born and raised in Armenia and now residing in Los Angeles.  Petros will battle Brazilian Paulo Cesar Galdino (12-5, 8 KOs)

Matchroom and Wasserman stars make up the undercard when ‘Born Rivals’ Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn clash on a sold-out blockbuster night of action at The O2 in London on Saturday October 8, exclusively live on DAZN around the world and on DAZN PPV in the UK and Ireland.

Olympic gold medal star Galal Yafai will defend his WBC International Flyweight title against Gohan Rodriguez Garcia. Yafai (2-0 2 KOs) has made an impressive start to life in the paid ranks following his golden trip to the 2020 Tokyo games, winning the title he puts on the line on his debut at the North Greenwich venue in February, and successfully defending it with a second round KO win at Madison Square Garden in April. The Birmingham ace now meets Mexican Garcia (12-1-1 1 KO) in his second defence of his title, with the 21 year old challenger fighting outside of his homeland for the first time in his second title fight, having landed the International Silver title in April 2021.

Light-Heavyweight star Lyndon Arthur is back out in quick succession following his return to action after headlining in September. Arthur (20-1 14 KOs) stopped Walter Sequeira in bullyish fashion when he got the win inside six rounds at The University of Bolton Stadium earlier this month, and the former Commonwealth champion will look to swiftly put his name back where it belongs and return to title action.

Ellie Scotney hunts for another title as she challenges Mary Romero for the European Super-Bantamweight title. Scotney (5-0) landed the WBA Intercontinental title in February at Alexandra Palace and successfully defended that strap at The O2 in May – beating former World champions Jorgelina Guanini and Maria Cecilia Roman in those bouts. The next strap in her sights proudly belongs to Romero (8-2 2 KOs) who puts the belt on the line for the third time. The Spaniard picked up the vacant belt on home turf in January 2020 and then successfully defended it against Amy Timlin in Barcelona in September 2021 and most recently against Maria Cecchi in Milan, Italy in May and now fights in England for the first time in a clash that should move the winner into World title contention.

It’s a family affair for Harlem Eubank, who fights on the undercard of his older cousin Chris Jr and meets Spaniard David Martin over six rounds. Eubank (15-0 6 KOs) has made the Super-Lightweight division stand up and take notice with eye-catching performances of late, notably his stunning one-punch KO of Sean ‘Masher’ Dodd in May at The Indigo at The O2, after forcing Viorel Simion to retire after five rounds of a scheduled eight in Cardiff. Not to forget his most recent win over Eliot Chavez in July where Eubank outclassed and frustrated the dangerous Mexican opponent into illegal punches, forcing a disqualification win to be awarded.

World rated Middleweight Felix Cash continues his hunt for World title honours as he meets the unbeaten Connor Coyle for the WBA Intercontinental title. Undefeated Cash (15-0 10 KOs) got through a gut-check in his last outing against dangerman Magomed Madiev at Alexandra Palace in Feburary, and the former British and Commonwealth champion, ranked number four with the WBO and number 10 with the IBF, will look to enter the top ten in the WBA with victory. Coyle () will have other ideas though, and the Florida-based Irishman, ranked number ten to Cash’s number 12 ranking with the WBA, will be out to ruin Cash’s plans and make a name for himself in his first fight in England.

Big hitting Heavyweight ‘Magic’ Matty Harris is on the hunt for a third first round KO win in a row and will take on Chris Healey over six. Harris (3-0 2 KOs) put Mait Metsis away in the opening session of their fight in Newcastle in April and repeated that trick two months later in Liverpool against Pawel Strykowski. Standing in the way of the Coventry man’s hat-trick is Healey (), the Stockport stalwart who has already tested the rising ambitions of Fabio Wardley and David Adeleye this year.

Shannon Courtenay makes a welcome return to the ring against Gemma Ruegg. Courtenay (7-2 3 KOs) will step through the ropes just one day shy of her last action in Liverpool, where Jamie Mitchell picked up Courtenay’s WBA World Bantamweight title via majority decision after the Brit failed to make the weight. ‘The Baby-Faced Assassin’ is aiming to get right back into the mix to become a two-time World ruler, and that starts with her return against Ruegg (5-4 1 KO), the Bournemouth fighter who like Courtenay, also fights for the tenth time in her pro career.

Former Team GB talent Chloe Watson completes the line-up, with the Flyweight talent taking on former World champion Nancy Franco in a six rounder. Watson (3-0) returns to the capital where she made her debut at York Hall in November and is looking for win number four in the paid ranks after winning on home soil in Merseyside in June in her first six rounder against Fara El Bousairi. The Birkenhead boxer, who trains under the former light welterweight and welterweight world champion Ricky Hatton, faces a real step up in the form of Franco (19-17-2 ), the vastly experienced Mexican who has held the World title at Minimumweight and challenged at Light-Flyweight.

NEW YORK (September 20, 2022)-Split-T Management fighters Jessica Camara and LeAnna Cruz each had their hands raised in bouts over the weekend.

Friday night in Philadelphia, Cuz remained undefeated with a four-round unanimous decision over Lillian Almarez in a super flyweight bout.

Cruz of Allentown, PA won by scores of 39-37 on all cards and is now 3-0.

Cruz is promoted by Hard Hitting Promotions.

A night later in Wilmington, Delaware, former world title challenger Camara registered her second consecutive vicious knockout as she needed just 40 seconds to take out Josefina Vega in their junior welterweight bout at The Chase Fieldhouse

Camara landed a left hook that put Vega down and out.

With the win, the Montreal native is 10-3 with two knockouts.

Here is what Joeshon James had to say about his recent training camp, his matchup with Brewart Jr. and more.

On his training camp:

“I moved my camp to Las Vegas for this fight and I have been working with all the top fighters who are training out there. I typically train in Sacramento, California, but for a fight of this caliber I invested in myself and I’m looking to make a statement. I don’t want to leave anything up to chance. So, I am all-in on this fight, and will be ready for whatever version of Richard Brewart Jr. presents itself.”

On his matchup with Richard Brewart Jr.:

“I am not going to say I am unimpressed by his skills, but I felt Nathan Weston beat him, and probably could’ve stopped him in their fight. Brewart gets hit a lot. I hit very hard. For him to see the final bell will be a big accomplishment. I just think he has too many flaws, and I worked too hard going into this fight.”

On what a win will do for his career:

“To beat a well-known undefeated fighter in his hometown will do wonders for my career. I am an unsigned fighter with a ton of amateur fights, who was consistently fighting at national tournaments in USA Boxing events for the past decade. A win here gives me a chance to give my young family a better life, a chance to sign with a promoter, and improve our lives. This fight will be life-changing for me. I am fighting for everything this weekend.” 

On Northern California vs. Southern California Rivalry:

“Honestly, the rivalry between Northern California and Southern California isn’t what people make it out to be. We’re just people. I think, because the San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers baseball teams are so popular and have such a well-known rivalry, people think it is a bigger deal than it is. I am going into his hometown, but I am going to earn a lot of respect with the way I fight. People might boo at first, but by the end of the night, they will be fans of mine.”
