NEW YORK (November 26, 2019)–Super Middleweight Ievgen Khytrov and Antonio Vargas each added to their win and knockout total by taking out Ernest Amuza and Szilvzter Kanales respectively on Saturday night at The Bryan Glazer JCC in Tampa, Florida.

Khytrov and Vargas are managed by Split-T Management.

Khytrov dominated the action, until Amuzu had enough and the fight was stopped at 2:59 of round three of their scheduled eight-round fight.

Khytrov registered his 3rd consecutive stoppage, and is now 20-3 with 17 knockouts. Amuzu is now 25-5.

Khytrov is promoted by Dibella Entertainment.

2016 United States Olympian, Vargas was successful in his 1st bout since suffering his 1st pro defeat when he stopped Kanales at 2:38 of round two of their scheduled six-round bantamweight contest.

Vargas of Kissimmee, Florida upped his record to 11-1 with five knockouts.

Laureano looks to conclude an extremely busy 2019, with his fourth fight of the year. Kicking off in January, Laureano dropped Ronald Rivas twice, earning a dominant unanimous decision victory. In June, Laureano returned in a barn burner against Dieumerci Nzau a fight that had the crowd on its feet from beginning to end. Laureano earned the 7thround TKO, securing the ABO America’s Title. Finally, in September, Laureano stepped in against Brian Jones, putting his ABO title on the line in his toughest test to date. However, Laureano proved to be up to the task, bringing his quintessential “action” fighting style and dominating the Texan over 8-rounds for the victory.

Rivera has fought an astonishing six times in 2019 and looks to close out the year with yet another victory. Rivera has racked up the miles this year, having fought in Charlotte, North Carolina, Tijuana, Mexico, Catskills, New York and most recently Daytona Beach, Florida. Most notably, “Popeye” Rivera went to battle with banger Brian Howard in June, over 8-rounds for the ABO America’s Title. After being hurt in the first round, Rivera settled in, out boxing the Georgia product in Howard, earning the unanimous decision victory. In September, Rivera defended his ABO title for the first time against yet another banger, Israel Duffus. Both men came out of the gate with bad intentions, yet Rivera eventually gained and remained in control of the bout over the 8-round contest, winning again.

NEW YORK (November 26, 2019)–Saturday night in Quebec City, Split-T Management’s Raquel Miller captured the WBA Interim Super Welterweight world championship with a 10-round unanimous decision over Alma Ibarra.

Miller of San Francisco controlled the action and kept the previously undefeated Ibarra at bay and won by scores of 99-91 and 98-92 twice.
With the win, the fighter known as “Pretty Beast” raises her perfect mark to 10-0. 

Miller could now look towards bouts with WBA World champion Hanna Gabriels as well as Hannah Rankin and former super middleweight champion Maricela Cornejo. 

“It was a good fight.  Alma was tough, and it was a good fight.  I fought well, now I will look at the fight, and see what I could have done better.  I was dominant as I won most of the rounds.  I took this fight at the last minute, so I am happy with the fight and the result,” said Miller.

“I want to thank everyone who has and does support me.  There is more to come.  I just want to tell everyone that they can push for their dreams and don’t take no as an answer.”

NEW YORK (November 26, 2019)- New Split-T Management signee, Giovani Santillan took out Wilfredo Buelvas in round two of a scheduled eight-round welterweight bout in the headline bout on Friday night at the Doubletree in Ontario, California.

In round two, Santillan scored a hard knockdown when he landed a big right-left combination. Seconds later, it was another massive right-left combination that sent Buelvas down and out at 2:31.

Santillan, 146.2 lbs of San Diego, California is now 25-0 with 15 knockouts. Buelvas, 147 lbs of Colombia is 20-13.

“In the first round I was trying to get my timing right,” Santillan said. “Thirty seconds into the second round, I knew I had him so I pressed him. After the second knockdown I knew he wasn’t going to get up.”

“I’m punching a lot harder at this weight,” said Santillan, a native of San Diego, Calif. “I felt my punches were a little too wide in that first round so I tried to tighten them up. I felt a lot more comfortable in the second and I was able to time Buelvas and anticipate which way he would be leaning. I saw the opening and I took it.”

LAS VEGAS, NV (November 20, 2019) – Last Thursday, the prodigy twins, Angel and Chavez Barrientes, were successful in their pro debuts, both scoring first round knockouts. The dynamic duo, who are only 17-years old, traveled to Tijuana, Mexico, to turn professional.

“I felt good to finally fight as a professional with no head gear and 8 oz gloves,” said Angel “A-K 47 “Barrientes (1-0, 1 KO). “As soon as I let my first punch go, I felt comfortable. I got the knockout and I’m ready to make a quick return back to the ring.”

“To turn professional at 17-years old was a dream come true as my brother and I have been waiting for this day since we first laced up a pair of gloves,” said Chavez “The Beast” Barrientes (1-0, 1 KO). “For both of us to score first round knockouts was incredible. We both want to get back in the ring right away and continue this journey.”

Heavyweight World Champion Andy Ruiz Jr has vowed to “make history again” as he landed in Saudi Arabia for the Clash On The Dunes, bringing his IBF, WBA, WBO and IBO title belts with him.

The Mexican-American fighter followed his challenger Anthony Joshua into the Kingdom, touching down at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh in the early hours of today to set up his own training camp to prepare for the epic bout on December 7.

The first-ever Heavyweight World Title fight to take place in the Middle East will be staged in the custom-built 15,000 seat Diriyah Arena which is now ready for action in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage site, known as the home of heroes and kings.

When asked how he felt about boxing in the Kingdom for the first time, Andy Ruiz said: “It feels good. You know I made history in New York and I’ll make history again in Saudi Arabia.”

Joshua will be looking to regain the title belts on the line after losing them to Ruiz – known as ‘The Destroyer’ – at their first meeting in New York earlier this year.

London, UK (26 November 2019) Promoter Mick Hennessy is delighted to announce that Alex Dilmaghani’s all-action showdown with Francisco Fonseca on Saturday 16 November had a total reach of just under 2 million viewers on free-to-air Channel 5.

Hot Crayford talent Dilmaghani stepped up to face Nicaragua’s hard-hitting former Two-Time World Title Challenger, Fonseca, with the Vacant IBO World Super-Featherweight Championship on the line, headlining London’s iconic boxing venue The York Hall.

In an exhilarating encounter, Dilmaghani and Fonseca went to war from the first to the last bell with both men fighting at a ferocious pace. SAM BOWEN HAS been accused of looking beyond his next opponent by the man himself, Anthony Cacace.

British champion Bowen makes his mandatory and second defence of his Lonsdale belt as part of a title-laden show at Arena, Birmingham on Saturday night against the highly-rated Belfast operator Cacace, who previously challenged for the honour in July 2017 against Martin J Ward.

The narrow defeat on the cards saw Cacace consigned to the shelf with few willing to risk their records against the tricky southpaw and he has been limited to two relatively low key fights in the 28 months since.

For his part, Bowen too has endured a period of absence due to a back injury, during which time his English rivals Archie Sharp and Zelfa Barrett have propelled themselves to the forefront with impressive title wins.

Now back in the thick of media activity promoting his Cacace defence, Bowen was naturally forced to field numerous questions over the progress and prospects of his potential challengers, who all hail from the same promotional camp.

Cacace insists only one name should be in the thoughts of the 27-year-old known as ‘Bullet’.

HOUSTON (November 25, 2019) – WBC Middleweight Champion Jermall Charlo received extra motivation last Tuesday with the birth of his daughter Journi, as he nears his title defense against Dennis Hogan live on SHOWTIME Saturday, December 7 from Barclays Center, the home of BROOKLYN BOXING™, as he headlines a Premier Boxing Champions event.

“It’s really all about family these days,” said Charlo. “I’m fighting even harder for my family now. I feel like I’m on cloud nine and on top of the world right now. We’ve been ready for the arrival of my daughter and I’m so happy she’s here in time to see her father fight on December 7.”

For Charlo, he will be making the second defense of his title, looking to get back to his knockout ways after winning back-to-back unanimous decisions that snapped his string of knockouts in five of his last six fights.

“You hear fighters say that they’re not going for the knockout, but I am,” said Charlo. “If I hit Hogan with something flush, he’s going to sleep. I’m in shape. I’m strong. I’m going for the knockout if it’s there. If he thinks he can bully me, then I’ll show him he made a big mistake. I’m back where I want to be. He’s a small slugger who’s got to worry about his weight, but I’m going sit right there and fight with Hogan. I’m not going anywhere. My mind is sharper than his also, but if he wants to make it a brawl, I’m ready.”

This will be Charlo’s fourth appearance in the ring at Barclays Center in his last five fights, with the exception being his homecoming defense in Houston that he made last time out in June. His first two fights in Brooklyn saw him deliver devastating knockouts of Hugo Centeno Jr. and Jorge Sebastián Heiland, before he won a unanimous decision over Matt Korobov in December.

“Everybody in Brooklyn knows when we come there, we come to shut it down,” said Charlo. “We’re bringing the heat! I love Barclays Center and I’m glad to be back fighting where I’m extremely comfortable. That’s my house in Brooklyn and everyone there is going to get a chance to see that I’m back for real.”

Despite this Thursday’s Thanksgiving holiday, Charlo has no plans to slow down his preparations and is well accustomed to training this time of year. Charlo has fought seven of the last eight years either in December or after Thanksgiving in November, including a holiday weekend knockout of Wilky Campfort November 28, 2015.

“I haven’t had a fight away from Thanksgiving in years, so I’m just totally used to it at this point,” said Charlo. “My personal chef is going to cook me exactly what I need to enjoy the holidays with my family.”

JOHN RIEL CASIMERO will be inspired by his promoter and friend Manny Pacquiao when he challenges WBO bantamweight champion Zolani Tete on Saturday night.

The Filipino road warrior challenges brilliant South African Tete (28-3, 21 KOs) on Frank Warren’s spectacular Midlands Mayhem bill at Arena Birmingham on Saturday November 30, live on BT Sport.

Eight-weight champion Pacquiao wanted to stage the brilliant bantamweight battle in the Philippines, but Tete’s promoter Warren won the purse bids.

There is plenty at stake and the winner is likely to book a 2020 unification against World Boxing Super Series victor Naoya Inoue, the IBF and WBA champion.

Pacquiao told his two-weight world champion: “Casimero, good luck champ and just do your very best.”

Interim WBO champion Casimero (28-4, 19 KOs) will be flanked by his adviser and Manny Pacquiao Promotions boss Sean Gibbons when he lands in Britain this weekend.

Gibbons said: “I told the Senator (Pacquiao)  that Casimero had a tremendous camp and we want nothing less than a victory.”

During Casimero’s 32 fight career he has boxed in ten countries – Argentina, China, England, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, South Africa, Thailand, United States and of course his homeland the Philippines.

Casimero travelled to London in September 2016 and stopped Charlie Edwards in the first defence of his IBF flyweight crown he’d taken from Amnat Ruenroeng four months earlier in an upset.

For this fight he has been training in Las Vegas where he has added Memo Heredia a former trainer of Pacquiao’s old rival Juan Manuel Marquez to his team.

Brendan Gibbons, son of Sean Gibbons has looked after the camp there and warned: “Casimero’s on beast mode.”

Casimero, 30, became IBF light-flyweight title holder in 2012 and made three defences before losing it on the scales.

He has lost just twice in eight and a half years since being knocked out by high class South African Moruti Mthalane shortly after his 22nd birthday in March 2011.

Anthony Joshua OBE has promised the world an “iconic evening of boxing” as he lands in Saudi Arabia ahead of his rematch with World Champion Andy Ruiz Jr in the Clash On The Dunes.

The boxing superstar landed last night at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh as arrives to set up his pre-fight training camp to prepare for the epic bout on December 7.

The first Heavyweight World Title fight to be held in the Middle East, the Clash On The Dunes will take place in the custom-built 15,000 seat Diriyah Arena in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage site known as the home of heroes and kings.

Joshua will be looking to regain his IBF, WBA, WBO and IBO belts after suffering defeat to Ruiz in New York earlier this year, but the British Heavyweight will have the backing thousands of UK fans joining boxing enthusiasts from more than 60 countries.

“It’s going to be an incredible night and I’m thrilled so many of my fans are going to be there, particularly from the UK,” said Joshua. “It’ll definitely be a night people will tell their grandchildren they were at, one of those iconic evenings of boxing. Everyone from Saudi has been brilliant to work with.”

Reading, PA (November 23, 2019)– Tonight’s scheduled main event at The Riveredge Restaurant in Reading, PA between Kermit Cintron and Josue Obando is off due to Obando failing to show up.

The pro-am card promoted by My Time Promotions in association with King’s Promotions will still go on.

Obando never stepped on the plane from Mexico, and therefore the fight was scrapped.

“We have had a signed contract for six-weeks, and the kid never showed up,” said Cintron’s promoter Marshall Kauffman of King’s Promotions. “Kermit worked very hard to weigh-in at 168.2 pounds. Kermit will get in the mix as he defeated Alfredo Angulo several years ago, and he just got a big win over Peter Quillin, so Kermit will be looking to fight anyone at 168 pounds.”

The show will feature two professional and 10 amateur fights beginning at 6 PM ET.

Houston, Texas — The event will be headlined by heavyweight Dominick Guinn fighting for the American Boxing Federation Western Division Title, with Jerrico “Hands of Stone” Walton in the featured co-main event seeking to remain undefeated at 16-0. LAS VEGAS (November 22, 2019) – The WBC Silver Bantamweight Championship match between Luis Nery and Emmanuel Rodriguez is off of the Deontay Wilder vs. Luis Ortiz II FOX Sports PBC Pay-Per-View card at the MGM Grand Garden Arena this Saturday, November 23.

Nery (30-0, 24 KOs) did not make the 118-pound limit and Rodriguez (22-2-3, 9 KOs) opted not to fight for safety reasons. The match was scheduled to open the pay-per-view portion of the card.

The native of Grand Prairie, Texas, who has roots in Michoacan, Mexico, will return after passing the toughest test of his career with flying colors: a sixth-round stoppage victory against former world title challenger Antonio “Relentless” Orozco earlier this year. This young man is excited to return to Fantasy Springs Resort Casino, the place where he made his professional debut over three years ago.

“Fantasy Springs has a special place in my heart,” said Vergil Ortiz Jr.”I made my pro debut there in July 2016. Knowing I’m headlining there is motivating me to show my fans out there how much I have improved over the years. I’m also happy because an event like this shows that I’m on the right path. Everything is going as it should be. I’ve seen Brad Solomon’s record. I’ve seen that he’s beaten Adrian Granados and Ray Robinson, so you have to be pretty skilled to beat people like them. I don’t know how this fight ends, but you can all expect a great fight.”

Solomon is a 36-year-old contender of Lafayette, Lousiana who was a standout amateur boxer before debuting as a professional in 2008. Aside from winning several Golden Gloves titles, Solomon also possess an amateur win over Javier Molina. As a professional, he as defeated tough fighters such as Freddy “The Rail” Hernandez and Adrian “El Tigre” Granados. Solomon will look to put is career back on track to a world title if he can get past Ortiz Jr.

“Vergil Ortiz Jr. is a great young prospect,” said Brad Solomon. “It’s going to be a good matchup. I’ve been out of the ring for about a year, so I have to come back and beat this young fighter. I have to show everyone in the welterweight division that I’m still here.”

Also, Bernard “The Executioner” Hopkins, Golden Boy Business Partner and Hall of Famer, will be the special VIP guest for this event. Hopkins will be in attendance for this event to meet fans, sign autographs and take pictures inside the Fantasy Springs Special Events Center. In the co-main event, Alberto “Explosivo” Machado (21-2, 17 KOs) of San Juan, Puerto Rico will make his highly anticipated return in a 10-round fight. Machado will look to make a campaign for a world title in this new division.

Erik Bazinyan (23-0, 17 KOs) of Quebec, Canada will defend his NABA Super Middleweight World Title in a 10-round clash. Bazinyan is inching closer to a world title with each battle, and he’ll look to maintain his top contender status with an impressive win to close out the year. Opponents for Machado and Bazinyan will be announced shortly.

Martinez (14-1 11 KOs) aims to land the title at the second attempt following his controversial clash with former champion Charlie Edwards in London in August, where the Mexican had Edwards in serious trouble in the third round after sending the champion to the canvas, but Martinez landed a bodyshot while Edwards was on the deck and the subsequent KO win for Martinez was overturned in the ring to a no-contest.

Edwards vacated the title to move to Super-Flyweight opening the door for Martinez to land the crown and the 24 year old will be aiming to resume his remarkable streak of KO wins which was stretched to eight in March when he stopped talented Welshman Andrew Selby inside five rounds in Mexico.

Rosales (29-4 20 KOs) is aiming to regain the title that he won in April 2018 in Japan with a ninth round stoppage win over Daigo Higa, and successfully defended the title against Northern Irishman Paddy Barnes with a stoppage win in Belfast four months later before surrendering the belt to Edwards in London on points in December.

LAS VEGAS (November 21, 2019) – Fighters who will step in the ring this Saturday, November 23 in FOX Sports PBC Pay-Per-View and FS2 Prelims action went face-to-face and previewed their showdowns Thursday at a press conference before they enter the ring at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Competing in pay-per-view action beginning at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT are WBA Super Bantamweight Champion Brandon Figueroa and former champion Julio Ceja, who battle for Figueroa’s title, and former bantamweight champions Luis Nery and Emmanuel Rodriguez, who open the pay-per-view with a 12-round matchup.

FOX Sports PBC Pay-Per-View Prelims on FS2 and FOX Deportes begin at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT and are headlined by unbeaten Leduan Barthelemy and Eduardo Ramirez battling in a 10-round featherweight rematch.

Prelims also feature 17-year-old prospect Vito Mielnicki Jr. in a four-round welterweight fight against Marklin Bailey, and unbeaten super lightweight prospect Omar Juarez taking on Kevin Shacks in a six-round bout.

HAIKOU, China (Nov. 21, 2019) — WBC/WBO junior welterweight world champion Jose Ramirez, the pride of California’s Central Valley, will cross an ocean to defend his belts. Ramirez will face former WBC world champion Viktor “The Iceman” Postol Saturday, Feb. 1 at Mission Hills Haikou in Haikou, Hainan, China.

Ramirez unified world titles in July with a sixth-round knockout over Maurice Hooker in a Fight of the Year contender. Ramirez-Postol will be the first Top Rank on ESPN event to be contested on Chinese soil.

Promoted by Top Rank, in association with SECA and TGB Promotions, Ramirez-Postol and a co-feature will be televised live by ESPN and ESPN Deportes at 10 p.m ET/7 p.m. PT (Sunday, Feb. 2 local time), with undercard action slated for ESPN+ beginning at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT.

Ramirez (25-0, 17 KOs), from Avenal, Calif., is one of two unified junior welterweight champions. He won the WBC world title in March 2018, prevailing via 12-round shootout against Amir Imam in New York City. He defended that belt twice at the Save Mart Center in Fresno before stepping up to fight Hooker. His return was slightly delayed, as recovered from surgery on his left hand to repair an ongoing injury. A 2012 U.S. Olympian, Ramirez fought in China in 2015 at Cotai Arena in Macau, improving to 15-0 with a third-round stoppage over Ryusei Yoshida.

Postol (31-2, 12 KOs) has spent the majority of his 12-year career as a super lightweight and nearly a decade at, or near, the top of the division. He stunned the boxing world in October 2015 when he dethroned Lucas Matthysse via 10th-round KO to win the WBC world title. In his next fight, he was blunted over 12 rounds by Terence Crawford in a unification bout. He is 3-1 since the Crawford defeat, dropping a 2018 decision to Josh Taylor, who is now the division’s other unified champion. He earned the WBC’s mandatory shot at Ramirez in April with a unanimous decision over Mohamed Mimoune.
