JOHN RIEL CASIMERO will be inspired by his promoter and friend Manny Pacquiao when he challenges WBO bantamweight champion Zolani Tete on Saturday night.

The Filipino road warrior challenges brilliant South African Tete (28-3, 21 KOs) on Frank Warren’s spectacular Midlands Mayhem bill at Arena Birmingham on Saturday November 30, live on BT Sport.

Eight-weight champion Pacquiao wanted to stage the brilliant bantamweight battle in the Philippines, but Tete’s promoter Warren won the purse bids.

There is plenty at stake and the winner is likely to book a 2020 unification against World Boxing Super Series victor Naoya Inoue, the IBF and WBA champion.

Pacquiao told his two-weight world champion: “Casimero, good luck champ and just do your very best.”

Interim WBO champion Casimero (28-4, 19 KOs) will be flanked by his adviser and Manny Pacquiao Promotions boss Sean Gibbons when he lands in Britain this weekend.

Gibbons said: “I told the Senator (Pacquiao)  that Casimero had a tremendous camp and we want nothing less than a victory.”

During Casimero’s 32 fight career he has boxed in ten countries – Argentina, China, England, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, South Africa, Thailand, United States and of course his homeland the Philippines.

Casimero travelled to London in September 2016 and stopped Charlie Edwards in the first defence of his IBF flyweight crown he’d taken from Amnat Ruenroeng four months earlier in an upset.

For this fight he has been training in Las Vegas where he has added Memo Heredia a former trainer of Pacquiao’s old rival Juan Manuel Marquez to his team.

Brendan Gibbons, son of Sean Gibbons has looked after the camp there and warned: “Casimero’s on beast mode.”

Casimero, 30, became IBF light-flyweight title holder in 2012 and made three defences before losing it on the scales.

He has lost just twice in eight and a half years since being knocked out by high class South African Moruti Mthalane shortly after his 22nd birthday in March 2011.

Anthony Joshua OBE has promised the world an “iconic evening of boxing” as he lands in Saudi Arabia ahead of his rematch with World Champion Andy Ruiz Jr in the Clash On The Dunes.

The boxing superstar landed last night at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh as arrives to set up his pre-fight training camp to prepare for the epic bout on December 7.

The first Heavyweight World Title fight to be held in the Middle East, the Clash On The Dunes will take place in the custom-built 15,000 seat Diriyah Arena in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage site known as the home of heroes and kings.

Joshua will be looking to regain his IBF, WBA, WBO and IBO belts after suffering defeat to Ruiz in New York earlier this year, but the British Heavyweight will have the backing thousands of UK fans joining boxing enthusiasts from more than 60 countries.

“It’s going to be an incredible night and I’m thrilled so many of my fans are going to be there, particularly from the UK,” said Joshua. “It’ll definitely be a night people will tell their grandchildren they were at, one of those iconic evenings of boxing. Everyone from Saudi has been brilliant to work with.”

The Clash On The Dunes forms part of the Diriyah Season, epic month of sports which kicked off with  Formula E at the weekend, the Diriyah Tennis Cup featuring eight of the best men’s players on the planet, and the Diriyah Equestrian Festival, an elite competition with Tokyo Olympics 2020 qualifying points on the line.

Reading, PA (November 23, 2019)– Tonight’s scheduled main event at The Riveredge Restaurant in Reading, PA between Kermit Cintron and Josue Obando is off due to Obando failing to show up.

The pro-am card promoted by My Time Promotions in association with King’s Promotions will still go on.

Obando never stepped on the plane from Mexico, and therefore the fight was scrapped.

“We have had a signed contract for six-weeks, and the kid never showed up,” said Cintron’s promoter Marshall Kauffman of King’s Promotions. “Kermit worked very hard to weigh-in at 168.2 pounds. Kermit will get in the mix as he defeated Alfredo Angulo several years ago, and he just got a big win over Peter Quillin, so Kermit will be looking to fight anyone at 168 pounds.”

The show will feature two professional and 10 amateur fights beginning at 6 PM ET.

Houston, Texas — The event will be headlined by heavyweight Dominick Guinn fighting for the American Boxing Federation Western Division Title, with Jerrico “Hands of Stone” Walton in the featured co-main event seeking to remain undefeated at 16-0. NEW YORK (November 23, 2019)–TONIGHT at the Bryan Glazer JCC in Tampa, Florida, super middleweight Ievgen Khytrov and bantamweight Antonio Vargas will be in action as part of a big 12-bout card.

Khytrov takes on Ernest Amuzu in an eight-round bout, while 2016 United States Olympian Vargas battles Szilveszter Kanales in a six-round fight.

Khytrov of Brooklyn, New York has a record of 19-2 with 16 knockouts. The former Ukrainian amateur star has won two bouts in a row since appearing on The Contender.

LAS VEGAS (November 22, 2019) – The WBC Silver Bantamweight Championship match between Luis Nery and Emmanuel Rodriguez is off of the Deontay Wilder vs. Luis Ortiz II FOX Sports PBC Pay-Per-View card at the MGM Grand Garden Arena this Saturday, November 23.

Nery (30-0, 24 KOs) did not make the 118-pound limit and Rodriguez (22-2-3, 9 KOs) opted not to fight for safety reasons. The match was scheduled to open the pay-per-view portion of the card.

Leduan Barthelemy (15-0-1, 7 KOs) will take on Eduardo Ramirez (22-2-3, 9 KOs) in a 10-round featherweight bout in the pay-per-view opener. Barthelemy and Ramirez were slated to appear on the televised prelims on FS2.

Solomon will look to put is career back on track to a world title if he can get past Ortiz Jr.

Alexis “Lex” Rocha (14-0, 9 KOs) of Santa Ana, Calif. will defend his WBC Continental Americas Welterweight Title in a 10-round bout against Michael “The Artist” Perez (25-3-1, 11 KOs) of Newark, N.J.

Luis Feliciano (13-0, 8 KOs) of Milwaukee, Wis. will defend his NABF Super Lightweight Title against Herbert “Ace” Acevedo (16-2-1, 6 KOs) of Garden City, Kansas in a 10-round fight.

Genaro “El Conde” Gamez (9-1, 6 KOs) of San Diego, Calif. will open the night in an eight-round lightweight clash.

Martinez (14-1 11 KOs) aims to land the title at the second attempt following his controversial clash with former champion Charlie Edwards in London in August, where the Mexican had Edwards in serious trouble in the third round after sending the champion to the canvas, but Martinez landed a bodyshot while Edwards was on the deck and the subsequent KO win for Martinez was overturned in the ring to a no-contest.

Edwards vacated the title to move to Super-Flyweight opening the door for Martinez to land the crown and the 24 year old will be aiming to resume his remarkable streak of KO wins which was stretched to eight in March when he stopped talented Welshman Andrew Selby inside five rounds in Mexico.

Rosales (29-4 20 KOs) is aiming to regain the title that he won in April 2018 in Japan with a ninth round stoppage win over Daigo Higa, and successfully defended the title against Northern Irishman Paddy Barnes with a stoppage win in Belfast four months later before surrendering the belt to Edwards in London on points in December.

LAS VEGAS (November 21, 2019) – Fighters who will step in the ring this Saturday, November 23 in FOX Sports PBC Pay-Per-View and FS2 Prelims action went face-to-face and previewed their showdowns Thursday at a press conference before they enter the ring at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Competing in pay-per-view action beginning at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT are WBA Super Bantamweight Champion Brandon Figueroa and former champion Julio Ceja, who battle for Figueroa’s title, and former bantamweight champions Luis Nery and Emmanuel Rodriguez, who open the pay-per-view with a 12-round matchup.

FOX Sports PBC Pay-Per-View Prelims on FS2 and FOX Deportes begin at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT and are headlined by unbeaten Leduan Barthelemy and Eduardo Ramirez battling in a 10-round featherweight rematch.

Prelims also feature 17-year-old prospect Vito Mielnicki Jr. in a four-round welterweight fight against Marklin Bailey, and unbeaten super lightweight prospect Omar Juarez taking on Kevin Shacks in a six-round bout.

HAIKOU, China (Nov. 21, 2019) — WBC/WBO junior welterweight world champion Jose Ramirez, the pride of California’s Central Valley, will cross an ocean to defend his belts. Ramirez will face former WBC world champion Viktor “The Iceman” Postol Saturday, Feb. 1 at Mission Hills Haikou in Haikou, Hainan, China.

Ramirez unified world titles in July with a sixth-round knockout over Maurice Hooker in a Fight of the Year contender. Ramirez-Postol will be the first Top Rank on ESPN event to be contested on Chinese soil.

Promoted by Top Rank, in association with SECA and TGB Promotions, Ramirez-Postol and a co-feature will be televised live by ESPN and ESPN Deportes at 10 p.m ET/7 p.m. PT (Sunday, Feb. 2 local time), with undercard action slated for ESPN+ beginning at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT.

Ramirez (25-0, 17 KOs), from Avenal, Calif., is one of two unified junior welterweight champions. He won the WBC world title in March 2018, prevailing via 12-round shootout against Amir Imam in New York City. He defended that belt twice at the Save Mart Center in Fresno before stepping up to fight Hooker. His return was slightly delayed, as recovered from surgery on his left hand to repair an ongoing injury. A 2012 U.S. Olympian, Ramirez fought in China in 2015 at Cotai Arena in Macau, improving to 15-0 with a third-round stoppage over Ryusei Yoshida.

Postol (31-2, 12 KOs) has spent the majority of his 12-year career as a super lightweight and nearly a decade at, or near, the top of the division. He stunned the boxing world in October 2015 when he dethroned Lucas Matthysse via 10th-round KO to win the WBC world title. In his next fight, he was blunted over 12 rounds by Terence Crawford in a unification bout. He is 3-1 since the Crawford defeat, dropping a 2018 decision to Josh Taylor, who is now the division’s other unified champion. He earned the WBC’s mandatory shot at Ramirez in April with a unanimous decision over Mohamed Mimoune.

Undefeated hometown welterweight Jacob Bonas will return to action tomorrow night (Friday, November 22) at Detroit’s MotorCity Casino-Hotel against Jefferson City, Missouri’s Noah Kidd.

Bonas (4-0-1, 2 KOs) and Kidd (4-2-1, 3 KOs) will collide in a four-round supporting bout at promoter Carlos Llinas’ latest “Night of Knockouts” installment, topped by Detroit’s Taylor Duerr (9-0-2, 7 KOs) taking on Neller Obregon (13-2-1, 8 KOs) for the Junior NABF Light Heavyweight Championship.

26-year-old Bonas is one of the last of the young fighters trained by the late, great Emanuel Steward, who considered him a prodigy. Bonas was National Ringside Champion and went 45-5 as an amateur. The talented Bonas remains a beloved figure in the Romanian community of Detroit. He was last seen scoring a dominant four-round decision over Indiana’s Norfleet Stitts on October 5.

“This fight is very exciting for me because so many Romanians will be there,” said Bonas. “I feel blessed to get so much support from my people. It’s amazing how fast I’m progressing and how fast amazing things are happening for me. Boxing fans can expect to see pure, raw, technical boxing tomorrow night.”

Asked to pick between the 4 fighters currently atop the Heavyweight tree, ‘Dynamite’ suggested all roads lead to Fury vs Wilder 2.

“Deontay would beat AJ and Ruiz. He has too much power, too much killer instinct. He’d knock them both out”.

“Tyson beats both of them, too. Whoever wins in the Wilder and Fury rematch is the man… for now”

Daniel, 13-0 with 12 KO’s, is considered the next big thing in Heavyweight boxing and always has one eye on developments in the division.

“I’m always watching. Those are the 4 biggest names in the sport, but also Usyk, Kownacki, Parker, Povetkin… Everyone has an opinion on who I should fight.”

“Someone told me yesterday that Parker was annoyed that his promoter can’t get him fights. As the busiest Heavyweight in boxing, i’d be happy to give him work.”

When the topic of fighting one of the so-called big 4 came up, Daniel would simply say that “i’m ready for anyone.”

Dubois, under the guidance of promoter Frank Warren, has made it clear that he is planning an assault on the major World Titles in the near future.

In the short term, though, he is after fights that improve his rankings and acquire coveted silverware.

Next up is Japanese Heavyweight Kyotaro Fujimoto, ranked #12 with the WBA, for the WBO International and WBC Silver Title.

LAS VEGAS (Nov. 20, 2019) — The rising iron-fisted star of the 154-pound division, Carlos “Caballo Bronco” Adames, will lock horns with Patrick Teixeira in a 12-round WBO junior middleweight title eliminator Saturday, Nov. 30 at The Chelsea inside The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.

Adames-Teixeira will headline the undercard stream (ESPN+, 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m.) before the super featherweight doubleheader featuring former featherweight world Oscar Valdez’s division debut against Andres Gutierrez and Carl Frampton’s showdown against the unbeaten Tyler McCreary (ESPN+, 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT).

SAN ANTONIO (Nov. 20, 2019): Golden Boy will kick off the 2020 year with an exciting battle between Mexico and Ireland as Jaime Munguia (34-0, 27 KOs) makes his middleweight debut against Gary “Spike” O’Sullivan (30-3, 21 KOs) in a 12-round bout on Saturday, Jan. 11 at The Alamodome in San Antonio, TX. This fight will be streamed live exclusively on DAZN.

Munguia is a 23-year-old boxer of Tijuana, Mexico who catapulted to the highest levels of the 154-pound division by knocking out Sadam “World Kid” Ali in May to capture the WBO Junior Middleweight World Title. Munguia then defended his title against Liam “Beefy” Smith, Brandon “Bad Boy” Cook, Takeshi Inoue, Dennis Hogan and Patrick Allotey. After five defenses at junior middleweight, Munguia is ready to take on new challenges in the very stacked division of 160 pounds.

O’Sullivan is a 35-year-old contender who is known for his lively personality outside the ring and his exciting aggression in the ring. The native of Cork, Ireland is coming off two impressive victories and has faced the likes of Antoine Douglas, Chris Eubank Jr. and Billy Joe Saunders throughout an impressive professional career that has lasted more than a decade. O’Sullivan will look to derail Munguia’s plans at 160 pounds on January 11.

John Ryder has warned Callum Smith that he is ready to rip his WBA Super-Middleweight World title away from him and shatter his Anfield dream when they collide at the M&S Bank Arena Liverpool on Saturday, live on Sky Sports in the UK and DAZN in the US.

Despite heading into this weekend’s all-British showdown coming off the back of four big knockout wins that secured him the No 1 ranking in the WBA and earned him the interim World title, Ryder believes he is being overlooked by Liverpool’s Smith.

“I’m being overlooked but he is the World Champion and the city’s big dream of a show at Anfield,” said Ryder. “He is the front-runner but I’m coming to cause the upset and, if I beat Smith, there will be no Anfield show. They might need to find a new headliner.”

Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez, the four-weight World Champion, is expected to return in May and ‘Mundo’ is hoping to be on the shortlist of his opponents. Billy Joe Saunders and Gennadiy Golovkin also count among Smith’s options if he retains his belt, but Ryder is ready to derail those plans and secure a mega-fight for himself.

“There have been a lot of highs and lows in my career so even fighting for a World title would have been a dream not so long ago. But now it’s here. In reality, without taking your eye off the ball, you do look at the carrot that’s being dangled. There are super-fights with big, massive names in America and you can’t help but to get excited.

“Winning would make be No 1 in the division and Canelo has proved that he likes to take on the top dogs, so you never know. But Smith is No 1 for a reason and I can’t take my eye off the ball with him.

“He hasn’t put a foot wrong, looked good in beating George Groves and Hassan N’Dam, but I just believe I can exploit him. I’m a different kettle of fish to what he’s faced before.”

Philadelphia, PA (November 20, 2019)– World-Ranked welterweight Mykal Fox will take on Johnny Arellano in the 10-round main event on Friday night, December 6th at The 2300 Arena in Philadelphia.

The nine-bout card will be promoted by King’s Promotions.

Fox of Forestville. Maryland is ranked number-15 by the WBA, has a record of 21-1 with five knockouts.

The 24 year-old Fox is a five year professional and has garnered his world ranking on the strength of wins over Ricardo Garcia (14-1), Gonzalo Carlos Dallera (5-0), 2016 Olympic Gold Medal Winner Fazliddin Gainazarov (7-0) and in his last bout, Fox won a 10-round unanimous decision over Eudy Bernardo (25-4) on September 14th in Bethlehem, PA.

Arellano of Conroe, Texas has a record of 10-1 with nine knockouts. The 27 year-old Arellano is a nine-year pro who has wins over undefeated foes D’Angelo Keys (7-0) and his bout when he won a decision over Xavier Wilson (10-0-1) on March 28th in San Antonio.

In the eight-round co-feature, undefeated super middleweight Kalvin Henderson will take on Genc Pllana.

Henderson of Fayetville, Arkansas has a record of 12-0 with eight knockouts.

The 29 year-old is a three year professional, and has had a meteoric climb up the super middleweight latter.

Henderson has wins over Bobby Taylor (4-0) and Brandon Robinson in a bout that was voted Philadelphia Fight of the Year for 2018. In his last bout, Henderson stopped Antowyan Aikens on May 10th at the 2300 Arena.

Pllana of Hagerstown, Maryland has a record of 7-1 with four knockouts.

The 25 year-old is a two-year professional who has defeated Jason Bell (3-0) and in his last bout, Pllana stopped Alex Lara in one-round on October 24th in Washington, DC.

A packed undercard has been assembled as some very talented fighters will be on display.
