QUINCY, Mass. (July 25, 2023) – Hometown favorite Eslih Owuso (9-1, 4 KOs) will provide chief undercard support for the increasingly entertaining “Pandemonium at The Palladium” card on August 19^th at the famed Palladium in Worcester, Massachusetts.

“Pandemonium at The Palladium”, presented by Granite Chin Promotions, will be streamed live on www.bxngtv.com.

Owusu’s lone loss as a professional was in 2022 when he lost a 10-round decision in Copenhagen to undefeated Dane prospect Oliver Meng (8-0) for the vacant World Boxing Council (WBC) World Youth Super Welterweight Championship. Owusu, who is the reigning ABF Mid-American middleweight champion, will meet Texas veteran Larry “Slo Mo” Smith.

Owusu will be fighting at home in Worcester for the fourth time. In addition to Denmark, he’s also fought in Ghana and Mexico.

“It is always great to get a hometown fighter on your show,” GCP President Chris Traietti said. “Eslih is a nice up and coming fighter with a good local fan-base. When the opportunity presented itself to get him on the card, we jumped on the chance. This card has a lot of everything from local to international talent. The Palladium is going to be packed on August 19^th.”

Undefeated super middleweights Steve “The Savage” Sumpter (8-0, 7 KOs), of Pittsfield (MA), Lynn’s (MA) James “Pitbull” Perkins (12-0-1, 9 KOs), will go to battle in the eight-round main event for the vacant International Boxing Association (IBA) Americas Super Middleweight Championship.

Undefeated Massachusetts Welterweight Champion Denzel “Double Impact” Whitley (11-0, 6 KOs) takes on Hector “El Gatito” Esnar Bobadilla (9-14-1, 4 KOs) in an eight-round, co-featured event for the vacant United States Boxing Federation (USBF) Atlantic welterweight title.

Other fighters slated to be in action on the “Pandemonium at The Palladium” undercard include another  Holyoke boxer, Canadian welterweight Thomas Blumenfeld (2-0, 1 KO) vs. Richard Bernard (1-12-1), Springfield super featherweight Carlos Gonzalez (2-0, 1 KO) vs. pro-debuting Johnny “Cupcakes” Campbell, Springfield super lightweight Calixto Cruz (2-0, 1 KO) vs. “The Outlaw” Ryan Venable (1-12-1), pro-debuting Cuban super welterweight Dany Lafos vs. Jay Gregory (0-7),and New Haven (CT) featherweight Felix Parrilla (7-0, 6 KOs) vs. TBA. Blumenfeld was a 2020 Commonwealth Games silver medalist, while Lagos earned a bronze medal at the 2021 AIBA Youth Championships.

THE FIGHT OF THE DECADE

Spence vs. Crawford, perhaps the most anticipated fight since Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao in 2015, will likely determine the sport’s No. 1 pound-for-pound fighter. The fight also carries career-defining, historical consequences:

• Spence vs. Crawford is the first undisputed welterweight championship fight in the four-belt era, which began in 1988.

WORKOUT WARRIORS

If last week’s media workouts are any indication, Spence and Crawford are both in fantastic shape, ready to engage in a battle of attrition if the fight goes into the later rounds. Spence and Crawford didn’t just move around the ring and smile for the cameras, they filled the time by training as if the media wasn’t in attendance, running through their paces and displaying the type of focus, stamina and skills that have made them two of the best and left them drenched in perspiration. Crawford’s workout last Wednesday was an exercise in efficiency as he trained for over an hour with few breaks while Spence’s session on Thursday showcased his incredible work-rate and physicality as he also trained for over an hour with both looking sharp and ready to do battle. 

A GENTLEMANLY AFFAIR

Ever since the fight was officially announced by both fighters on May 25 and they appeared on ESPN’s First Take the next morning, Spence and Crawford have remained consistent with their messages to each other and the public. They both have the upmost confidence in themselves, but they also share a mutual respect and deference that seems almost quaint and old-fashioned by today’s boastful standards. Rather than harp on the damage they plan to inflict on the other, the two have focused on the potential for their fight to become an instant classic, given their exciting styles, championship pedigrees and ultra-competitive mindsets.

“The proof is in the pudding. You see Terence Crawford and you see his body of work. You see my body of work when I get in the ring. Everybody already knows. As soon as I get in the ring, I’m stepping. I expect him to step too. We’re going to put on a great show and a great performance,” Spence told Stephen A. Smith.

“I can guarantee that everyone is gonna witness something special. Errol doesn’t like to back up. I’m the type of fighter where you push me and I push even harder. We both have big hearts and like to fight. It makes for a great action-packed fight. July 29 is gonna be a great night for boxing,” Crawford said when the two first met at the kickoff press conference in Los Angeles.

COMMON FOES

There are two common opponents on both Spence and Crawford’s resumes, former two-time welterweight champion Shawn Porter and former IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook.

Porter dropped a 2019 Fight of the Year to Spence, before losing the final fight of his career to Crawford in November 2021. Brook faced Spence in May 2017 as Spence traveled to the U.K. to capture his first career world title, while Brook came stateside to face Crawford in November 2020, losing by fourth-round TKO. Their dual perspectives on Saturday’s outcome conveyed the 50-50 nature of the matchup.

“I don’t have a pick. I don’t know who is going to win this fight. This is what boxing truly is. Both guys have basically everything needed to win, from power to speed. I truly don’t think anyone can look at this fight and say, ‘That guy is going to win,’ because there are so many outcomes and possibilities,” said Porter.

“I think Terence is a very sharp and snapping puncher and Errol has a more grinding and thumping kind of power. That’s the difference I see in the two. We’re talking about two star fighters and it’s going to come down to a very small margin and they’re going to have to bring every part of their game to get a victory,” said Brook.

HOW MUCH YOU WANT TO BET?

DraftKings, the official sportsbook sponsor of Spence vs. Crawford, views “Bud” as a slight favorite on Saturday night. He is currently listed as a -150 favorite, while “The Truth” is a +120 underdog. A $100 bet on Crawford would win $66.67 while a $100 bet on Spence would win $120.00.

The oddsmakers at DraftKings view the fight going into the later rounds as the most likely outcome. The odds for the fight to go over 10.5 rounds are -270 and the odds for the fight to go under 10.5 rounds are +190. For those who believe the fight will end via stoppage, the odds for Spence to win by KO/TKO/DQ are +500, while the odds for Crawford to win via the same method are +270.

Seniesa is a 12-year pro who has competed at the world class level in three weight classes. She recently added the WBC belt to her collection in March with a shutout win over the previously unbeaten Tina Rupprecht. Yudica, from San Juan, Argentina, turned pro in 2012 and held the IBF flyweight title for nearly eight years before losing it in a tightly contested split decision loss to Arely Muciño in October 2022. She’s coming off a 10-round decision victory over Tamara Elisabet Demarco in April. 

In the co-feature, unbeaten Las Vegas native Andres “Savage” Cortes (19-0, 10 KOs) will take on Sacramento-born contender Xavier Martinez (18-1, 12 KOs) in a 10-round junior lightweight clash.

Cortes was a standout amateur, defeating Teofimo Lopez twice in the unpaid ranks. Now a seven-year pro, he has built a reputation for engaging in action-packed affairs. Martinez returns to action following an 11-month layoff, intent on proving he belongs in the junior lightweight title conversation.

White Plains, NY (July 24, 2023) — Star Boxing kept busy over the weekend as top world rated light heavyweight RICHIE “POPEYE THE SAILOR MAN RIVERA (now 25-1 19KO’s) and cruiserweight LYUBOMYR “DEMOLITION MAN” PINCHUK (now 14-4-2 8KO’s) laced up the gloves in separate shows from different parts of the globe.

In Malambo Colombia, Richie Rivera took on Yuri Mendez in a scheduled 10-round light heavyweight bout, in which Rivera wasted no time slugging away at the outgunned Mendez. A thudding body shot just 54 seconds into round number one, sent Mendez to the canvas, where he remained forcing referee Leonel Mercado to wave off the action. With the TKO victory, Richie Rivera, who is currently world rated #6 (WBA), #6 (WBO – at cruiserweight), #8 (WBC), #11 (IBF), 8 (WBC), improved to 25-1 with 19 wins coming by way of knockout. Rivers is looking ahead to a significant fight that will lead him to a world championship opportunity  in the very near future.

Lyubomry Pinchuk in Pennsylvania

Simultaneously in Washington, Pennsylvania, another  “Summer Slugfest” was presented as Star Boxing’s Lyubomyr Pinchuk went to battle with Anthony Holloway over a competitive 8-round cruiserweight bout. Both men remained active over the course of the bout, with Pinchuk seemingly getting the better of most exchanges. While Holloway had his moments in the bout, Pinchuk’s ring generalship dictated the fight. To the surprise of many in attendance, the bout was declared a draw. 79-72 Pinchuk, 75-77 Holloway, 76-76 draw. Pinchuk is now 14-4-2 8KO’s.

Santa Ynez, CA (July 24, 2023) Saturday night at the Chumash Casino Resort and broadcast globally on UFC FIGHT PASS, WBC #2 Ranked Super Welterweight Serhii ‘El Flaco’ Bohachuk, (23-1, 23 KOs), continued his knockout streak through the division with a stunning, one punch, first round knockout (2:32) of World Title Challenger, Patrick Allotey, (42-5, 32 KO), of Accra, Ghana.

Presented by Tom Loeffler’s 360 Promotions, Bohachuk vs. Allotey headlined another installment of the acclaimed Hollywood Fight Nights series.

Said Loeffler, “Serhii continued to prove why he’s the most exciting fighter in the super welterweight division. He’s ready for a world title fight now.”

“The entire card was full of action-packed fights, the crowd here at Chumash Casino was tremendous and we look forward to returning in the future.”

In the evening’s co-feature, Southern California favorite Omar Trinidad, (13-0-1, 10 KOs), continued to shine with a sixth-round stoppage of Roberto Meza, (15-4-1, 8 KOs). Dropping Meza in the third and fifth round, Trinidad earned the victory with a dominant performance as the fight was stopped at the 1:16 mark of the sixth round.

In a battle of undefeated light heavyweights, Umar Dzambekov, (6-0, 5 KOs), of Austria, defeated Kwame Ritter, (10-1, 8 KOs), over eight rounds. Scores were 79-73, 79-73 and 78-74.

The hard-hitting southpaw took control of the fight after an even first two rounds using an aggressive body attack to score throughout the second half of the fight.

Junior welterweight Cain Sandoval, (10-0, 10 KOs), fighting for the second time under the 360 Promotions’ banner, stopped the valiant Jose Marruffo, (14-12-2, 2 KOs), in the sixth round (2:28). Sandoval dropped Marruffo at the end of the second round and earned the stoppage victory from a barrage of unanswered punches in the sixth stanza of their scheduled eight-rounder.

Bantamweight veteran Narek Abgaryan, (16-1, 6 KOs), made his long-awaited return to action with a sixth round (0:41) knockout of Manuel Manzo, (9-8-3, 4 KOs) in a fight scheduled for eight rounds. Abgaryan used excellent counter punching throughout and forced the referee’s stoppage from a multiple punch combination which badly hurt Manza.

Opening the UFC FIGHT PASS broadcast, fast-rising star, 21-year-old Daniel ‘Chucky’ Barrera, (3-0-1, 2 KOs), knocked out Eduardo Alvarez, (0-3-1) in the first round (1:42) of a scheduled six-rounder flyweight bout. A battering left hook to the body dropped Alvarez for the count.

Prior to the start of the broadcast, Jorge Maravillo, (8-0, 8 KOs), stopped Terry Fernandez, (6-2, 6 KOs), in the first round (0:43) of their scheduled six round super welterweight bout.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (July 24, 2023) – Mexico’s featherweight king is set to put his crown on the line during Mexican Independence Day Weekend. 

Luis Alberto “El Venado” Lopez will defend his IBF world title against former two-time world title challenger Joet Gonzalez on Friday, September 15 at American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas. Lopez returns stateside after back-to-back championship showdowns abroad.

In the 10-round junior middleweight co-feature, rising Puerto Rican sensation Xander Zayas takes on Mexico’s Roberto Valenzuela Jr.

Lopez-Gonzalez and Zayas-Valenzuela will be broadcast live on ESPN, ESPN Deportes and ESPN+ at 10:30 p.m. ET/7:30 p.m. PT

After early-career losses to Abraham Montoya and Ruben Villa, he defeated Andy Vences via split decision in July 2020 and dominated then-unbeaten junior lightweight prospect Gabriel Flores Jr. over 10 rounds in September 2021. Lopez then moved down to featherweight and stopped another undefeated foe, Isaac Lowe, in seven rounds at London’s York Hall. After two stay-busy wins, he earned his shot at the IBF title, dethroning Josh Warrington in his hometown of Leeds, England. In his first defense, the 29-year-old once again traveled to enemy territory and beat Michael Conlan via fifth-round TKO with a dazzling right uppercut in Belfast.

Gonzalez (26-3, 15 KOs) debuted in the pro ranks in 2012 and was 23-0 before facing Shakur Stevenson for the vacant WBO featherweight title in 2019. He dominated veteran Miguel Marriaga in his September 2020 return before losing his second attempt at the WBO strap in a 2021 Fight of the Year contender against Emanuel Navarrete. Gonzalez then stopped Jeo Santisima via ninth-round TKO in March 2022 before dropping a split decision to Isaac Dogboe in July of that year. The 29-year-old will have his third opportunity at a world title after defeating Enrique Vivas via 10-round unanimous decision in April.

Zayas (16-0, 10 KOs) has been on a rapid trajectory to super stardom since signing with Top Rank at 16. He has maintained an unblemished record since debuting as a pro in October 2019. In 2022, he scored eight-round decision wins over Quincy LaVallais and Alexis Salazar, along with a fifth-round TKO against Elias Espadas. The 20-year-old will make his second 2023 appearance after a 10-round unanimous decision win over Ronald Cruz during Puerto Rican Day Parade weekend in June. Valenzuela (21-4, 20 KOs) is a six-year pro who has given stiff tests to Alexis Rocha, Souleymane Cissokho and Bakhram Murtazaliev. The 24-year-old Mexican is coming off a third-round TKO victory against Daniel Vega in April.

Xayas said, “I am excited for the next big step in my career that will take place on September 15 in Corpus Christi, Texas, against a Mexican warrior that I know will come prepared to give his best and will bring out the best in me. I am training hard to continue showing Puerto Rico and all of Latin America what I am capable inside the ring.”

The ESPN+-streamed undercard includes an all-Mexico showdown, a U.S. Olympian, and the return of three of Top Rank’s top contenders. 

Mexican standouts Omar Aguilar (25-1, 24 KOs) and Julio Luna (20-1-2, 11 KOs) will collide in an eight-round welterweight battle. Both are on the comeback trail following losses to two of Top Rank’s finest. Aguilar suffered his first career setback against Lindolfo Delgado last August and returned with a second-round TKO win over Cristian Sonora Soltero in May. Luna dropped a 10-round decision to Giovani Santillan last August, but he bounced back with a third-round knockout win against Hassam Valenzuela in March.

Lightweight contender Jamaine Ortiz (16-1-1, 8 KOs) returns in a 10-rounder. Last October, the 27-year-old took an early lead against former lightweight champion Vasiliy “Loma” Lomachenko before losing the tightly contested battle via unanimous decision. 

Brazilian Olympic gold medalist and former two-time title challenger Robson Conceicao (17-2, 8 KOs) will see action in an eight-round junior lightweight tilt. Conceicao heads to the ring for the second time this year following a no contest against Nicolas Polanco in June.

Former world title challenger Ruben Villa (20-1, 7 KOs) returns in an eight-round featherweight clash against Colombia’s Brandon Valdes (15-3, 7 KOs). Villa dominated Maickol Lopez Villagrana en route to a fifth-round KO in May.

U.S. Olympian Tiger Johnson (9-0, 5 KOs) makes his third appearance of 2023 in an eight-round junior welterweight fight against an opponent to be named. He scored a dominant decision win over Jonathan Montrel in July.

Fighting out of his native San Diego, Chollet (7-0, 6 KOs) went the distance for the first time as a pro the last time he entered the ring, scoring a shutout of Daniel Perales in May. The 21-year-old has already fought three times in 2023 and will step up in competition when he faces Hayward, California’s Portales (3-1-1, 1 KO). The 26-year-old Portales bounced back from his first career defeat, which took place in February, to earn a unanimous decision over Margarito Hernandez in April.

The 18-year-old Viloria (2-0, 2 KOs) turned pro in April and has delivered a pair of stoppages in each of his first two matchups. The Whittier, California-native most recently stopped Pedro Pinillo in four rounds in May. He’ll step in against the 18-year-old Borgaro (4-0, 2 KOs), who represents Sonora, Mexico and made a successful U.S. debut in July by stopping Martin Cardona in two rounds.

The 20-year-old Zamora (11-0, 9 KOs) turned pro in 2019 as a teenager and delivered knockouts in eight of his first nine matchups. The Las Vegas-native has fought in his hometown twice previously as a pro, including his most recent outing that saw him KO Jesus Ibarra in March. He will be opposed by the Brooklyn-based Buzolin (9-4-1, 5 KOs), who’s only defeats have come against previously unbeaten fighters. In his last fight, Buzolin knocked out Gonzalo Carlos Dallera in three rounds in July 2022.

A training partner of Terence Crawford, Ventura (11-0, 8 KOs) fights out of Omaha, Nebraska and will compete in Las Vegas for the first time as a pro on July 29. The 26-year-old returned to the ring off of a four-year layoff in September 2022, emerging victorious via unanimous decision over Gilbert Venegas. He will face the 25-year-old Prather (15-1, 2 KOs), who made a successful 2023 debut by earning a decision over Brandon Clark in February. The Kansas City, Missouri-native turned pro in May 2018 and is unbeaten since a one-point decision loss in his second pro fight.

LAS VEGA, NV (July 20, 2023) – Super bantamweight contender, Ra’eese Aleem (20-1, 12 KOs), has broke his silence since suffering his first defeat as a professional, a hard-fought split decision loss to Sam Goodman (15-0, 7 KOs), a fight that took place in Goodman’s homeland of Australia last month.

One of the major hurdles Aleem faced during his journey to Australia was acclimating to the significant time change. SHAWNEE, OK (July 20, 2023) — Former unified and lineal lightweight king George Kambosos Jr. is eager to reclaim his throne, but English southpaw Maxi Hughes stands in his way.

Kambosos (20-2, 10 KOs) will fight Hughes (26-5-2, 5 KOs) in a 12-round IBF world title eliminator this Saturday at FireLake Arena in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Kambosos will be making his Top Rank debut as he sets his sights toward once again becoming champion. 

In the 10-round co-feature, U.S. Olympic silver medalist Keyshawn Davis (8-0, 6 KOs) takes a seismic step up in class against Belgian contender and former European champion Francesco Patera (28-3, 10 KOs).

Kambosos-Hughes and Davis-Patera will be broadcast live on ESPN, ESPN Deportes and ESPN+ at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.

The ESPN+-streamed undercard (6:15 p.m ET/3:15 p.m. PT) will feature the ring returns of welterweight contender Giovani Santillan, Oklahoma-born heavyweight Jeremiah Milton and middleweight prospect Troy Isley.

Santillan (30-0, 16 KOs) will face Ecuadorian contender Erick Bone (27-6, 14 KOs) in a 10-round battle, and Milton (9-0, 6 KOs) will make his second appearance of 2023 in an eight-round tilt against Willie Harvey (4-2-2, 3 KOs).

Clavel, 32, will fight his 3rd world championship fight, (1-1) and for Bermudez, 26, the 10th (7-1-1).

This will be Clavel’s 3rd fight in 2023, she returned to victory on May 12 against Naomi Arellano Reyes (9-3, 5 KOs) in another breathtaking performance. We remember the incredible clash on January 13 against WBA champion Yesica Nery Plata (29-2-0, 3 KOs) when the Quebecer had to lose by decision of the judges and give up her title of WBC world champion.

On October 7, it is the real RECONQUEST for Clavel who gets a 2nd chance to be crowned with two major titles, she is ranked number 1 contender in both the WBO and the IBF.

Aspiring Clavel and champion Bermudez met with the media in a virtual conference this morning:

“I saw how hungry Bermudez was, with the knife between her teeth, when she faced the undefeated Tania Enriquez (20-1, 9KO) to regain her titles after her loss to Valle 4 months earlier,” said former WBC champion Clavel. It is with exactly this state of mind that I approach this fight with Bermudez, with fire in my eyes. Evelin Bermudez, originally from Santa Fe, Argentina, began his career in 2016 at the age of 19. Thus, she won her first world championship fight in 2018 at just 21 years old by dethroning Mexico’s Maria Guadalupe Bautista (21-11-2, 4 KOs) at home in Argentina for the IBF light flyweight title. In 2022, she added the WBO title with a brutal knockout over Debora  Rengifo  (19- 11-1, 11 KOs) of Caracas, Venezuela. After seven successive IBF defenses and a WBO, she lost by majority decision to Costa Rican Yokasta Valle (28-2, 9 KOs), who is also IBF and WBO champion in the minimum division (105 pounds), in Carson, California. The latter immediately gave up her two new light flyweight titles (108 pounds) which allowed Bermudez to regain them, in Buenos Aires against the undefeated Mexican Tania Enriquez (20-0, 9 KOs), last March.

We remember that at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, Clavel returned to nursing to help seniors in Montreal. On the international stage, his courage and generosity have been recognized. She received the prestigious 2020 Pat Tillman Award at that year‘s ESPY ceremony on ESPN, Time Magazine recognized her as the “Next Generation Leader,” and the WBC presented her with the “Humanitarian Award.”

Sébastien Bouchard, Marie-Pier Houle, Caroline Veyre, Derek Pomerleau will also be featured, and 2 other fights will also be added:

Quebec’s Sébastien Bouchard (20-2-1, 9KO) will be back in the ring after his inspiring and dazzling performance on May 12 at Place Bell when he knocked out Fernando Marquez (11-2, 9KO) in the 6th round. Bouchard had to adjust to a lively and incisive Marquez early in the fight. This is a 2nd fight in less than 4 months for the friendly welterweight. A victory in this 10-round clash could open the doors to a return to Quebec City in late 2023 or early 2024.

The sparkling Marie-Pier Houle (8-1-1, 2KO)  of Terrebonne may have lost by decision in the WBO welterweight world championship in Cardiff last April against the excellent Sandy Ryan (6-1, 2KO) but the experience acquired and the new international influence that earned her solid performance will be important assets she who decided to attack of the super lightweight division. Houle is now recognized as a legitimate global aspirant according to the 4 major associations; #3 WBO, #6 IBF, #6 WBA and #11 WBC. On October 7, it will be his debut in his new division in a fight of 10 assaults.

The talented Caroline Veyre (4-0, 0KO) does not want to waste her time and she accumulates significant victories since the beginning of her career. Ajagba (17-1, 13 KOs), a 2016 Nigerian Olympian, has solidified himself as one of the division’s fiercest punchers. The 6-foot-6, 240-pound slugger debuted as a pro in July 2017 and secured six first-round knockouts in his first eight bouts. He suffered his first defeat in October 2021 against Frank Sanchez. Following the loss, Ajagba had surgery on both his elbows, returning in August 2022 to stop Hungarian veteran Jozsef Darmos in the second round. The 29-year-old is coming off a 10-round decision win against previously unbeaten contender Stephan Shaw in January.

“This is a great test for me as I continue my quest to become Nigeria’s next heavyweight champion,” Ajagba said. “I am coming to Tulsa to score a devastating knockout and remind everyone what I’m capable of doing inside the ring.”

Kossobutskiy (19-0, 18 KOs) is a 34-year-old southpaw from Kostanay, Kazakhstan. He has only gone the distance once in his career, a six-round decision win over Kostiantyn Dovbyshchenko in September 2018. In 2021, he went 3-0 with three knockouts. In 2022, he dispatched former world title challenger Johann Duhaupas in the fifth round and is coming off a third-round knockout over previously unbeaten contender Hussein Muhamed last November.

Kossobutskiy said, “I’m ready to make my debut in the United States against a very strong opponent. I want to show that I can beat the best in the heavyweight division, and to do that, you must overcome very tough challenges. I look forward to showing the world my abilities on August 26.”

Jalolov (12-0, 12 KOs) represented Uzbekistan at the 2016 Olympics before turning pro in May 2018 with a third-round TKO over Hugo Trujillo. He built an 8-0 record before returning to the amateur ranks in the summer of 2021 to capture an Olympic gold medal. Jalolov then tallied four knockout wins in the paid ranks before continuing his remarkable amateur run in May with a gold medal at the 2023 World Championships in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The 29-year-old wrecking ball returns to the pro ranks following his fourth-round TKO over Curtis Harper last November.

Ehwarieme (20-2, 19 KOs) debuted as a professional with a decision win over Junior Maletino Iakopo in December 2010. He defeated his next 16 opponents by knockout, all within five rounds. He suffered his first loss against Rodney Hernandez in June 2019, but returned in December to stop Ariel Esteban Bracamonte via first-round knockout. Ehwarieme suffered a fourth-round stoppage loss against Kossobutskiy in February 2021, and he is 2-0 with two knockouts since. The 35-year-old, who represented Nigeria at the 2008 Olympics, blasted out Jeff Holcomb in only one round in February 2022.

The ESPN+-streamed undercard includes some of the sports brightest up-and-coming talents.

Rising featherweight Bruce “Shu Shu” Carrington (8-0, 5 KOs), the latest fistic talent to come from Brownsville, Brooklyn, will fight an opponent to be named in an eight-rounder. Carrington will make his fourth 2023 appearance following an eighth-round TKO win over Luis Porozo in June.

Undefeated middleweight prospect Nico Ali Walsh (8-0-1, 5 KOs), grandson of Muhammad Ali, will face Sona Akale (7-1, 4 KOs) in a six-rounder. Ali Walsh will fight in Tulsa for the third time as a pro following an eight-round draw against Danny Rosenberger on the Devin Haney-Vasiliy Lomachenko undercard.

19-year-old lightweight prodigy Abdullah Mason (9-0, 8 KOs) will make his fourth appearance of 2023 in a six-round duel. Mason was considered one of the brightest U.S. amateur talents before signing with Top Rank in October 2021. The southpaw returns after a second-round TKO win over Alex de Oliveira on July 1.

In a 10-round junior lightweight tilt, Filipino Olympian Charly Suarez (15-0, 9 KOs) will put his unbeaten record on the line against hard-hitting Dominican Yohan Vasquez (25-3, 20 KOs). Suarez heads to Tulsa following a 12^th-round TKO win against then-unbeaten Australian Paul Fleming on enemy turf.

Kazakh Olympian Ablaikhan Zhussupov (3-0, 2 KOs) returns in a welterweight clash scheduled for eight rounds.

The record holder for the most fight time in UFC history with over eight hours spent in the Octagon, Dos Anjos has defeated some of the best to ever compete in MMA, including former UFC champions Robbie Lawler, Anthony Pettis and Benson Henderson. He now seeks to make another run up the welterweight ranks by taking out Luque.

A member of the UFC Hall of Fame’s Fight Wing for his epic battle with Dooho Choi, Swanson (28-13, fighting out of Palm Springs, Calif.) returns to action aiming to secure a record-breaking 10^th post-fight bonus at featherweight. A staple of the 145-pound division since 2011, he holds thrilling victories over Daniel Pineda, Darren Elkins and Kron Gracie. Swanson now seeks to start his 2023 campaign by becoming the first man to KO Dawodu.

Dawodu (13-3-1, fighting out of Calgary, Alberta, Canada) looks to steal the show and announce himself as the next contender to watch in the stacked featherweight division. (RFI) announced the broadcast team and fight week schedule for the Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz pay-per-view taking place on Friday, August 5^th live from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX. STAMFORD, CT – In front of a jam-packed crowd consisting of fans, family and media at Bobby V’s in Stamford on Tuesday night, Jimmy Burchfield Sr. unveiled the details of “Summer Heat 2023,” an absolutely stacked boxing card taking place on August 12th at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT.

Featured at the podium were Stamford pro boxers Chordale ‘The Gift’ Booker and Slawomir Bodhziewicz, as well as a pair of amateur fighters from New Haven, Chad Dawson Jr. and Troyveon Allen.  

“August 12 is going to be special, because not only will fans be treated to a great night of professional boxing, but they’ll get a 2-for-1,” stated CES Founder Jimmy Burchfield Sr.  “Their ticket will also allow them to attend the ‘Jimmy Burchfield Classic Invitational,’ a USA Boxing sanctioned Amateur showcase that will take place before the pro card on August 12th.”

The pro boxing card will be headlined by newly minted WBC US Super Welterweight champion Booker (19-1, 8 KOs), who won the title at Mohegan Sun Arena in April with a spectacular 4th round knockout.  

Booker will be one step closer to a title shot with an impressive victory over Puerto Rico’s Nicolas Hernandez (27-6-3, 12 KOs), especially if undisputed junior middleweight champion Jermell Charlo vacates his belts after moving up two divisions to challenge undisputed super middleweight champion Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez on September 30th in Las Vegas.   

“This is going to be one of my best performances,” exclaimed Booker.  “I haven’t been this locked in since 2018.  However long it goes, it’s gonna be bad for Nicolas Hernandez.  You’re going to see a great performance and a great show.  This fight is not going 10.”      

The pro card will also feature Hall-of-Famer and former two division champion Jaime ‘The Hurricane’ Clampitt (24-6-2, 7 KOs) and many of the best prospects that New England has to offer, including Anthony ‘ATV’ Velasquez (12-0-1, 11 KOs), Alejandro Paulino (14-0, 12 KOs), Angel Gonzalez (12-0, 7 KOs) and Wilson Mascarenhas (7-1, 2 KOs) in separate bouts.  

“All of New England will be represented on the card in competitive match-ups,” said Burchfield Sr.  “From top to bottom, this will be one of the best shows of the year.”  

Another fighter CES boxing is excited to showcase is Polish prospect Slawomir Bohdziewicz (1-0, 1 KO), who scored a tremendous 3rd round knockout in his debut at Mohegan Sun Arena in April.

“I’m very thankful to Jimmy Burchfield for putting on this event,” said Bohdziewicz.  “I know my Polish fans will come out to support me and I will not let them down.”

The event kicks off with “Jimmy Burchfield’s Classic Invitational” amateur showcase beginning at 4:30pm.  Topping that card will be Ali Feliz, the #1 ranked Heavyweight in the United States.  Feliz is from a fighting family: his father, Fernely Feliz, was a heavyweight puncher who retired with a record of 23-9 with 16 KOs and fought the likes of former heavyweight champions Oleg Maskaev and ‘The Quiet Man’ John Ruiz.  Ali’s brother, Fernely Feliz Jr. (6-0, 5 KOs) is a power punching heavyweight who will also see action on the undercard of the pro show.

The Invitational will also feature Chad Dawson Jr., son of former 2-time light heavyweight champion ‘Bad’ Chad Dawson, and Troyveon Allen, a 22-year-old who won the Western New England Golden Gloves at 132lbs this February.   

“My Dad stepped down, so now I’m here to take his place and have fun,” joked Dawson Jr. to the delight of the crowd. “Fun destruction!”.

Reading, PA (July 20, 2023)–Reading, Pennsylvania; The WBA Fedelatin champion Lisandro “El Gato” Barazarte (10-0 7KOs) has inked multi-year promotional agreement with Kings Promotions. LAS VEGAS – July 19, 2023 – Undefeated WBO Welterweight World Champion Terence “Bud” Crawford held his media workout in Las Vegas on Wednesday as the three-division champion prepares to take on unified WBC, WBA and IBF Welterweight World Champion Errol “The Truth” Spence Jr. headlining a SHOWTIME PPV on Saturday, July 29 in a Premier Boxing Champions event from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The four-fight pay-per-view telecast begins at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT and will see Crawford look to become the first male boxer to become undisputed in two weight classes. The winner between Spence and Crawford will hold the distinction as the first undisputed welterweight champion of the four-belt era and likely emerge as the top pound-for-pound fighter in the sport.
