ONE CHAMPIONSHIP ANNOUNCES FULL LINE-UP FOR ONE: DYNASTY OF CHAMPIONS (SHANGHAI)

3 August 2015 – SINGAPORE: Asia’s largest and the world’s most exciting mixed martial arts organization, ONE Championship™ (ONE), has announced the full line-up for ONE: DYNASTY OF CHAMPIONS (SHANGHAI) — the second ONE event in China this year.

Roger Huerta returns to the ONE cage to face Japanese fighter Koji Ando in a highly anticipated lightweight contest while Korean bantamweight sensation Dae Hwan Kim will meet Japan’s Koetsu Okazaki. Major Overall will face Kotetsu Boku in an exciting featherweight bout while Singapore’s MMA darling Angela Lee will meet Russian kickboxer Elena Pashnina in a female atomweight bout.

For the China Superfight, Chinese featherweights clash as Teng Li Ge meets Ayideng Jumayi. The semi-finalists for the Shanghai Flyweight Tournament will also compete for the chance to be crowned the Shanghai Flyweight Tournament Champion. Liu Xiao Yang will face Hu Ri Ge, while Wang Ya Yong will face Li Gao Yang. The Shanghai Flyweight Tournament Alternate Bout will see a match between Wan Jian Ping and Yang Jian Bing.

The main event of ONE: DYNASTY OF CHAMPIONS (SHANGHAI) features a middleweight title bout between ONE Middleweight World Champion Igor “Lionheart” Svirid and the challenger Vitaly Bigdash. ONE: DYNASTY OF CHAMPIONS (SHANGHAI) is set to light up the city with an explosive fight card that fans will not want to miss.

For ONE: DYNASTY OF CHAMPIONS (SHANGHAI) ticketing enquiries and reservations, email rsvp@onefc.com.

CEO of ONE Championship™, Victor Cui, stated, “We are excited to make our mark in Shanghai this September as we bring the best local and international fighters once again to mainland China. This card is headlined by a ONE Middleweight World Championship title bout and it will be very exciting to see our Kazakhstani world champion defend his title. We also have a roster of the best international fighters showcasing their talents in the ONE cage such as Roger Huerta, Dae Hwan Kim, and Kotetsu Boku. Also, our female MMA warriors will show combat sport fans around the world what women can do inside the cage. Local flyweights will also be competing to be the best and the chance to be the winner of our ONE Shanghai Flyweight Tournament.”

Roger “El Matador” Huerta returns to the ONE cage a year after winning his fight against Christian Holley last August 2014. Huerta has been in the MMA game for more than a decade and has a wealth of experience on his resume. With a solid background in Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Huerta is one of the best lightweights in the world and is looking to outdo Japanese stalwart Koji Ando who is fresh off challenging division leader Shinya Aoki for the title.

Koji Ando is one of Japan’s fiercest competitors, having been a mixed martial artist since 2008. The Japanese fighter, who recently faced Lightweight King Shinya Aoki, is never in a boring fight and always remains a threat no matter the opponent. With an array of diverse striking skills coupled with solid submission grappling credentials, Ando is ready to claim victory against Roger Huerta.

Dae Hwan Kim challenged for the ONE Bantamweight World Championship in his last fight, but came up short against reigning champion Bibiano Fernandes. Despite the setback, Kim gave the champ all he could handle and delighted fans with his fast-paced, high volume attack. Kim’s striking prowess is virtually unmatched in the division, and it will be interesting to see how effective he’ll be against fellow striker, Koetsu Okazaki.

Koetsu Okazaki embodies what being a Japanese mixed martial artist is all about. He has the heart, will and technical ability to give opponents a rough time in the cage, but also possesses the tenacity to overcome obstacles and claim victory. Okazaki has never been knocked out or stopped with strikes due to his excellent ability to take a punch, but also doesn’t mind trading blows in order to unleash his own combinations. He is prepared to show the world that he can beat the highly regarded Dae Hwan Kim.

In a featherweight bout, Singapore-based American fighter Major Overall is looking to impress the Chinese crowd with his exciting, all-action style in the ONE cage. Overall has a highlight reel of stoppages in his six victories as a mixed martial artist and has built a reputation as one of the most dangerous and exciting fighters in the division. He looks to continue his dominance with a win over perennial competitor Kotetsu Boku.

Kotetsu “No Face” Boku, although originally from South Korea, is a Japanese MMA legend and former champion. With more than 30 professional fights on his resume, Boku has the experience of a seasoned veteran and has seen it all inside the cage. He gets to showcase his dynamite fists once again inside the ONE cage as he takes on Major Overall in an explosive clash of featherweights.

Russian kickboxer Elena Pashnina is based in Chengdu, China and holds a black belt in Sanda. Pashnina boasts well-rounded stand up skills, incorporating wrestling and various mixed martial arts components into her solid striking game. The young 20-year-old is fresh off her first test inside the ONE cage last July against Jenny Huang. This time Pashnina takes on Singapore’s MMA darling, Angela Lee.

Angela “Unstoppable” Lee’s family is originally from Singapore but she has lived and trained mixed martial arts in Waipahu, Hawaii for most of her life. At just 19 years of age, Lee is one of the most promising young fighters on ONE Championship’s growing roster. She scored an impressive victory over Aya Saber in her ONE Championship debut last May, submitting her opponent in the first round with an Armbar. Lee looks to impress fans once again as she battles Elena Pashnina.

GOLOVKIN VS. LEMIEUX SET FOR OCTOBER 17 AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN AND LIVE ON HBO PAY PER VIEW

Gennady Golovkin
NEW YORK CITY (July 31, 2015) Boxing superstar, WBA, IBO and WBC “Interim” Middleweight Champion GENNADY “GGG” GOLOVKIN (33-0, 30 KOs) will face IBF Middleweight title holder, Montreal power-puncher DAVID LEMIEUX (34-2, 31 KOs), in a World Middleweight Championship Title Unification bout on Saturday, October 17 at the Mecca of Boxing, Madison Square Garden. The championship event will be produced and distributed live by HBO Pay-Per-View beginning at 9:00 p.m. ET/6:00 p.m. PT.

Golovkin vs. Lemieux is the fight fans have been waiting for, promising all-out action from the moment the first bell rings, and is presented by K2 Promotions and Golden Boy Promotions in association with GGG Promotions and Eye of the Tiger Management. Further details on advance tickets and a national press tour will be announced shortly.

Below is what the fighters, their promoters, and managers had to say about the Oct. 17 showdown:

“I’m very excited to face David Lemieux to prove who is #1 in the middleweight division,” said Gennady Golovkin. “I look forward to fighting again at Madison Square Garden and putting on another Big Drama Show for my fans in New York City.”

“I’ve said that I don’t care who I fight, so long as they are the best, and Golovkin is the best out there in the middleweight division,” David Lemieux said. “GGG may be the most feared man in boxing, but after October 17th, there will be a new feared man in the middleweight division. Two very powerful punchers are coming into the ring. There will be blood; there will be fireworks, and I am confident I will emerge victorious.

“Gennady has wanted to unify the titles in the middleweight division since winning the WBA title in 2010,” said Tom Loeffler, Managing Director of K2 Promotions. “This is one of the most highly anticipated fights in boxing between the two biggest punchers in the middleweight division.”

“Since Gennady’s last fight on May 16, media and fans have been asking daily about his next fight and we are happy to announce this middleweight unification on boxing’s biggest stage. Gennady loves fighting at Madison Square Garden, it will be his fourth appearance there and we’re honored to work with their outstanding team, Golden Boy Promotions and HBO Pay-Per-View on this extraordinary event.”

“When Golden Boy Promotions talks about making the best fights for the fans, Lemieux Vs. Golovkin is exactly what we’re talking about,” said Oscar De La Hoya, Chairman and CEO of Golden Boy Promotions. “These are two guys at the top of their games; in their primes; with enormous knockout power than can end a fight in an instant. Instead of ducking each other, they have chosen to collide. Buckle up. October 17th is going to be quite a ride.”

“After defeating Hassan N’Dam earlier this year for the IBF Middleweight World Championship, David told me he wanted to continue to fight the toughest and best in the division, and it was clear that meant he had to fight Gennady Golovkin next,” said Camille Estephan of Eye of the Tiger Management. “I know David will be ready to go to war Oct. 17 against Gennady Golovkin at Madison Square Garden. This really will be the fight of the year that fans deserve.”

“Gennady Golovkin and David Lemieux represent the qualities and characteristics that boxing fans worldwide admire and are attracted to in pay-per-view fights,” said Mark Taffet, Senior Vice President, HBO Pay-Per-View. “Two devastatingly powerful middleweight champions who have each registered more than 90 percent of their victories by knockout and are facing the toughest challenge of their careers. Their 160-pound title unification showdown on the storied stage of Madison Square Garden will be electric. HBO Pay-Per-View is delighted to serve as the television partner for this can’t miss event”

Golovkin’s willingness to fight at destinations in both the U.S. and Europe has enabled him to emerge as one of the most marketable television attractions worldwide, setting venue attendance records and delivering tremendous TV ratings. He is currently ranked number three by ESPN.com on their Pound For Pound list with Ring Magazine also placing him at number 4.

Sporting a record of 33-0 with 30 knockouts, Golovkin’s 91 percent knockout ratio is the highest in the middleweight division and has distinguished him as boxing’s most exciting fighter. He has stopped his last 20 straight opponents inside the distance while defending his title fourteen times. In front of a huge crowd of over 12,000 Southern California fight fans on May 16, Golovkin continued his reign with a sixth round knockout over number two ranked contender Willie Monroe at the Forum in Los Angeles. The victory was Golovkin’s second in his new home of Los Angeles, having stopped the WBC “Interim” Middleweight Champion Marco Antonio Rubio on October 18, 2014 in front of a venue record 9,323 fans at the StubHub Center.

Currently ranked in the top 10 middleweight fighters by the IBF, WBO, and WBA and the reigning IBF World Middleweight Champion, David Lemieux (34-2, 31 KOs), is coming off of his ninth consecutive win over Hassan N’Dam and seventh consecutive knockout against Gabriel “King” Rosado last December. The 26-year-old Lemieux was victorious in dominant fashion capturing the vacant IBF Middleweight Title against Hassan N’Dam on June 20 in his hometown of Montreal, Canada. Dropping N’Dam four times, the hard-hitting Canadian won a wide, 12-round unanimous decision. Lemieux made his HBO and United States debut in headline fashion with a fantastic performance stopping top contender Gabriel Rosado in the tenth round on December 6 in Brooklyn, New York. The hard-hitting Lemieux is now a serious threat who will attempt to sweep and conquer the division with a win over Golovkin. Lemieux is poised to become the next king of the middleweight division and will look to give Golovkin the first loss of his professional career on Oct. 17.

ICYMI: Lane-Felix II just two weeks away

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (July 31st, 2015) — They’ve waited patiently for this moment, for a chance to settle the score for what we can only assume is the second, and final, time.

They’ve chosen their words carefully, each predicting a win without fanning the flames in advance of what might be this year’s most highly anticipated rematch.

Two weeks from today, Luis Felix and Julian Lane face off again in the five-round main event of “CES MMA XXX,” live on AXS TV, as Lane attempts to defend the promotion’s lightweight title for the second time since he won the belt by beating Felix on national television in August of 2014.

CES MMA is celebrating its 30th show in style with a stacked card featuring 11 bouts, among them the return of regional standouts Chip Pollard, Matthew Bessette and Dinis Paiva, plus the professional debut of Gary Balletto Jr., the son of famed boxer Gary “Tiger” Balletto.

Tickets are priced at $40.00, $55.00, $100.00 and $125.00 and available for purchase online at www.cesmma.com or www.twinriver.com, by phone at 401-724-2253/2254 or at the Twin River Players Club. All fights and fighters are subject to change.

Lane (9-3, 1 KO) enters his second title defense brimming with confidence, convinced he’s already faced the best of what Felix (13-8, 5 KOs) has to offer, whether standing up or on the canvas. Felix, the hometown favorite who appeared to be in control the first time until an overhand right changed the course of the fight, has taken the high road, focusing instead on reaffirming his place among the elite in the 155-pound division.

“My goal this fight is to go out there and prove [Julian and I] are on two different levels,” Felix said. “I’m out there to prove I’m the best lightweight in the northeast.”

“All I have to do is tap him on the chin and it’s over,” countered Lane, who clubbed Felix with a hard right in their first fight before choking him out in the third round. “I’m going to go in there and knock him out.”

Felix, coincidentally, is the only fighter on the card who also appeared on CES MMA’s first show in September of 2010. Twenty-nine events later, he’s back at Twin River as the headliner of a dynamic card featuring many old favorites mixed with a handful of new faces.

Among the returning stars is Bessette (15-6, 4 KOs), the Hartford, Conn., featherweight and Bellator vet who made his CES MMA debut in June with a knockout win over Khama Worthy. Two weeks from now, he faces Canadian Lenny Wheeler (8-3-1, 5 KOs) on the main card.

Also on the main card, red-hot East Providence, R.I., bantamweight Dinis Paiva Jr. (7-5, 4 KOs) faces Chino Duran (8-8, 4 KOs) of Homestead, Fla. The resurgent Paiva, now ranked No. 1 in his weight class in the northeast, has won four consecutive bouts – all in the opening round – including three by knockout.

Rounding out the televised portion of the card, light heavyweight Pat Walsh (5-2, 2 KOs) of East Bridgewater, Mass., faces Jesse McElligot (5-2, 2 KOs) of West Roxbury, Mass.; Plymouth, Mass., welterweight Chip Pollard (9-8, 4 KOs) battles Dan Lauzon (17-5, 9 KOs) of Bridgewater, Mass.; lightweight Leon Davis (6-3, 1 KO) of Ludlow, Mass., faces Boston’s Andres Jeudi (7-4, 3 KOs); and The Ultimate Fighter alum Peggy Morgan (3-3) of Manchester, N.H., makes her CES MMA debut in a bantamweight bout against Jessica Miele (4-1) of Waterbury, Conn.

The preliminary card is headlined by Balletto Jr., the Cranston, R.I., welterweight who debuts against fellow newcomer Anthony Giacchina of Selden, N.Y. Bantamweight Rico DiSciullo (4-0-1, 1 KO) of Peabody, Mass., faces Jake Constant (6-7-1, 2 KOs) of Springfield, Ill.; Manny Bermudez (1-0, 1 KO) of Abington, Mass., battles featherweight Mak Kelleher (0-1) of Centereach, N.Y.; and bantamweights Jacob Smith of Russell, Mass., and Chris Caterino of Nashua, N.H., face one another in their pro debuts.

PREMIER BOXING CHAMPIONS – GARCIA VS. MALIGNAGGI FINAL PRESS CONFERENCE QUOTE

NEW YORK (July 30, 2015) – Premier Boxing Champions on ESPN and undercard fighters held a final press conference Thursday at B.B. Kings Blues Club & Grill in Times Square as they near their Saturday, August 1 showdowns at Barclays Center.

The event is headlined by undefeated star Danny “Swift” Garcia (30-0, 17 KOs) as he makes his 147-pound debut against two-time world champion Paulie “The Magic Man” Malignaggi (33-6, 7 KOs). Televised coverage begins at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. as middleweight world champion Daniel “The Miracle Man” Jacobs (29-1, 26 KOs) defends in his hometown against former world champion Sergio “The Latin Snake” Mora (28-3-2, 9 KOs).

Here is what the participants had to say Thursday:

DANNY GARCIA

“We had a tremendous camp, I’ve never felt so strong in my life. For the first time in my career I can actually train to get better.

“We’re just focused on training. We did everything in camp – we even chased chickens.

“I accomplished a lot at 140-pounds and I’m going to do a lot at 147. On Saturday at Barclays Center you’re going to see a spectacular Danny Garcia.

“I want to be known as a great Philadelphia fighter and a great Puerto Rican fighter. I’m the first Puerto Rican from Philly to ever be a world champion. I have the Philly skills and toughness with the Puerto Rican blood, it’s the perfect mixture.

“I’ve watched Paulie fight my whole career. He’s a tough veteran and I’m sure he’s got some tricks up his sleeve. I just have to go in there and stick to business on Saturday night.

“Barclays Center is my home away from home. We have a nice routine when we’re in Brooklyn. We keep it simple.

“I pay attention to the positive things in my career and that’s getting in the gym and working hard and getting better. That’s my main focus.

“Everything is better at 147. I feel stronger. My form feels good. The footwork is great. I can eat regularly now. Still disciplined but it’s a lot easier.”

PAULIE MALIGNAGGI

“For Danny’s team, it’s only about him and for me it’s all about myself. My best versus his best. This is a big opportunity from me, professionally and personally. My career started 14 years ago in Brooklyn and people think it’s going to end Saturday in Brooklyn, but I’m not letting that happen.

“It’s been an emotional camp. I find myself thrust back into the limelight of a major fight when it was least expected. The question marks and doubts come up in my mind and that’s made it emotional. I work hard every day. I’ve quietly had one of my best training camps

“There are no excuses here. Saturday night is the best of Paulie Malignaggi. I look forward to testing myself against the best Danny Garcia. I’ve always loved and relish the big names and the big opportunities.

“Sometimes I lay in bed at night thinking about matchups between fighters. Now I’m thinking of myself in that conversation and we’ll fin out on Saturday how I stack up.

“Quietly but surely, I’m very confident about Saturday night. I’m bringing my best.”

DANIEL JACOBS

“This is another great opportunity to showcase my skills. I’m on a good knockout streak and I feel confident about this fight.

“Sergio Mora is a Rubik’s cube, you have to figure him out. He’s crafty and I have the utmost respect for him. I’m 100 percent confident in my ability to go out there and put on a good show

“I hear Sergio is coming here to knock me out and if that’s the case this is going to be a real exciting fight. I look forward to it because I’m coming forward and if two guys are doing that it’s going to be a great fight.

“I’m excited to give these Brooklyn fans a great fight. I love being at home and seeing all of the familiar faces I’ve seen since the amateur days.”

SERGIO MORA

I’m excited to fight at Barclays Center. Brooklyn is beautiful and has great fans. Lou DiBella is about to have another fighter named Sergio as a middleweight champion after Saturday night.

“I think this is going to be a really successful fight because of all the stars up here. It’s a great event for boxing fans.

“I’m a grown man now and I’m looking to become a two-time world champion. This is my third time at a middleweight title shot but the first time an opponent showed up. I’m excited and ready to go. I’m thankful for everyone who has opened the door for me. This is it.

“Daniel is strong in the ring. He’s a powerful, confident champion. He’s not used to losing and he’s used to hitting his targets, but I’m the total opposite of that. It’s going to be tough for him.

“Until he gets in there with me and realizes how tough I am, then he’s going to realize he has a challenge coming to him. I want to take him out of his element.

“It’s a big burden to be a hometown fighter and he’s going to realize that. It’s detrimental to be fighting in your hometown and I think he’s too young to realize that. It’s going to be to my advantage on fight night.”

ANGEL GARCIA, Danny’s Father & Trainer

“Danny had a great camp. It was an awesome camp and he’s going to make a lot of noise. We’re not taking Malignaggi lightly, but we’ve come to win. We don’t come to lose.

“It’s not about Malignaggi, it’s about Danny. People can say whatever they want to say but we’re coming to make noise at 147. We’re not running from anybody.

“I promise you Danny will be the world champion at 147. I’ve seen visions of it. This is going to be a great fight and then after that anybody can get it.”

LOU DIBELLA, President of DiBella Entertainment

“I’ve known Paulie Malignaggi since he was a teenager and won the nationals in a big surprise to people. He turned pro on one of my shows and one thing I know about him, it’s that he’s not going to back down from a challenge and he’s going to give it 110 percent on Saturday.

“Danny Garcia has been a dominant force in the 140-pound division. He’s won fights by stunning knockout and he’s won by decisions. He always finds a way to win. That’s what he’s planning to do on Saturday night.

“Sergio Mora is here to challenge for another world championship. He comes in on a good streak of impressive wins. He’s always been known as a boxer and he’s been in the ring with the best fighters in the world.

“Daniel Jacobs is one of the best guys in boxing. His story of perseverance is one that has been told many times. He’s a young, strong champion looking to show that he’s got what it takes in the ring as well as outside of it.

“This is a fantastic card featuring four great fighters from Brooklyn on the undercard. We’re going to open the doors and immediately start with these great fights.

“This will be Heather Hardy’s fourth fight at Barclays Center and she will be joined on the undercard by Polish heavyweight from Brooklyn Adam Kownacki, who is looking to make some noise in the division.

“Rafael Vasquez has a truly inspirational story. He uses boxing to draw attention to the cause of autism and his wife who is battling courageously against cancer, and winning. I really want to see him get a world title shot, because his life has been a battle that he takes on with courage every day.

“We also have a terrific prospect in Prichard Colon from Puerto Rico. He’s undefeated and really an exciting guy to watch in the ring.”

BRETT YORMARK, CEO of Barclays Center

“It’s our 14th big night of boxing in Brooklyn and we’re really excited about it. It’s a business we’re committed to and one we want to grow. Our goal is to go monthly with big events at Barclays Center.

“With Paulie and Danny, it’s a big night to have them back at Barclays Center. It is the fourth time for both and they both represent Brooklyn so well.

“I want to welcome Sergio Mora for the first time and we’re excited to have you in Brooklyn.

“As we’ve told Danny Garcia before, this is his second home and we’re happy to have you and your father back.

“We’re excited to be on ESPN, because they provide an incredible platform for these fighters and the sport as a whole.

“We expect a great crowd on Saturday night and we look forward to an exciting night at Barclays Center.”

WORLD SERIES OF FIGHTING RETURNS TO FOXWOODS RESORT CASINO WITH STACKED WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP EVENT SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17, LIVE ON NBCSN

LAS VEGAS (July 30, 2015) –World Series of Fighting (WSOF.com) will return to Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Conn. for the second time this year with another star-studded, world-class Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) mega-event, headlined by a welterweight (170 pounds) showdown between rival superstars Jon Fitch and Yushin “Thunder” Okami, on Saturday, Oct. 17, live on NBCSN.

Priced from $39.99, tickets for “WSOF 24: Fitch vs. Okami” go on sale on tomorrow, Friday, July 31 at 10 a.m. ET at Ticketmaster.com and WSOF.com.

“We are excited to return to Foxwoods Resort Casino and the state of Connecticut, where we showcased our brand of world championship MMA action in front of a highly passionate audience earlier this year,” said WSOF President Ray Sefo.

“Beginning with Jon Fitch and Yushin Okami, two of the best 170-pound athletes in our entire sport,” continued Sefo, “we are assembling another card loaded with some of the top superstars and emerging stars in MMA, and we look forward to giving fans another memorable night of fights.”

In the co-main event, WSOF World Heavyweight Champion Blagoy Ivanov will put his coveted title on the line for the first time when he squares off with seasoned contender Derek “Caveman” Mehmen.

In other action on the live NBCSN telecast, superstars Vinny Magalhaes and Matt “The Hammer” Hamill will make their respective WSOF debuts against each other in a light heavyweight (205 pounds) contest.

Also returning to the cage will be local favorite “Notorious” Nick Newell, who will take on an opponent to be named soon.

Jon Fitch vs. Yushin Okami

Both Fitch (26-7-1, 1 NC) of Las Vegas, Nev. and Okami (30-9) of Kawasaki, Kanagawa, Japan will look to return to the win column after their suffering defeats in their respective last starts, which were both world championship title bouts.

During his 12-year professional career, the 6-foot, 37-year-old Fitch, a former captain of world renowned fight team AKA and NCAA Division I wrestler for Purdue University, has submitted or scored TKO’s on a long list of rival superstars, including Roan Carneiro, Josh Burkman and Thiago Alves, and has earned decision wins over Diego Sanchez, Erick Silva and Ben Saunders.

Also a 12-year veteran of the sport, the 6-foot-2, 34- year-old Okami has earned 50 percent of his wins by way of (T)KO or submission, and boasts victories over a host of fellow marquee competitors, including Hector Lombard, Nate Marquardt, Mark Munoz and Alan Belcher. In his WSOF debut on March 29, Okami notched a spectacular, second round (4:46) submission (arm-triangle choke) of Svetlozar Savov.

Blagoy Ivanov vs. Derek Mehmen

Ivanov (12-1) of Sofia, Bulgaria made history on June 5, 2015 when the 5-foot-11, 28-year-old pulled off a stunning, third round (1:17) submission (guillotine choke) of Smealinho Rama to become the second WSOF world heavyweight champion ever.

A judo black belt and 2008 Combat Sambo world champion, Ivanov defeated all-time great Fedor Emelianenko in the semi-final stage of the championship tournament.

Mehmen (19-6) of Coconut Creek, Fla. via Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is a 6-foot-4, 30-year-old member of American Top Team. The heavy-handed, 9-year veteran of the sport has earned 11 of his 19 professional career wins by way of (T)KO.

Mehmen earned the 2013 “KO Punch of the Year,” awarded by AXS TV’s Inside MMA program, for his devastating, second round (2:40) finish of Rolles Gracie, Jr. at WSOF 5 on Sept. 14, 2013.

Vinny Magalhaes vs. Matt Hamill

A former world MMA champion and multiple-time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world champion, Magalhaes (12-7, 1 NC) of Las Vegas, Nev. will look to notch his third consecutive victory during his first start in the WSOF decagon cage and first appearance of 2015.

In his last effort, the 6-foot-3, 31-year-old native of Brazil submitted (guillotine choke) Jason Brilz in the fourth round (:36) of their matchup on Sept. 26, 2014.

A decade long veteran of MMA, Hamill of Loveland, Ohio remains one of the most inspirational athletes in all of MMA. Deaf since birth, Hamill has persevered time and time again, earning his way to three NCAA Division III wrestling national titles before dedicating himself to MMA.

The subject of a 2010 biographical film entitled “The Hammer,” the 6-foot-2, 38-year-old owns notable wins over Tito Ortiz, Tim Boetsch, Keith Jardine and Mark Munoz, among others, and also boasts past clashes with Michael Bisping, Rich Franklin, Alexander Gustafsson, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Jon Jones.

The live NBCSN telecast of “WSOF 24: Fitch vs. Okami” will begin at 8:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. PT.

Doors at the Grand Theater at Foxwoods Resort Casino will open at 4:30 p.m. ET, and the first preliminary card bout will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Additional matchups will be announced soon. The card is subject to change.

After five years in the Congo, Justin Wren returns to MMA on August 28 with an inspirational story to share

SANTA MONICA, Calif. (July 30, 2015) – Justin Wren walked away from a promising MMA career exactly 5 years and 12 days ago. Today, “The Big Pygmy Viking” announces his return to the sport, which will take place on the Spike-televised portion of the “Bellator 141: Guillard vs. Girtz” card on August 28, where he takes on Josh “The Hammer” Burns at the Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, Calif.

Tickets for “Bellator 141: Guillard vs. Girtz,” which start at just $50, are on sale now at Bellator.com, Pechanga.com and the Pechanga Resort & Casino box office. Doors for the event open at 4 p.m. PT local time.

The card airs live and free on Spike at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT, with several preliminary bouts airing on Spike.com beginning at 7:45 p.m. ET. Additional preliminary bouts will be announced shortly.

Wren’s impressive story is hard to tell in a couple paragraphs, which is why he will be telling it in its entirety in an upcoming book titled “Fight for the Forgotten: How a Mixed Martial Artist Stopped Fighting for Himself, and Started Fighting for Others,” that will be on sale in bookstores everywhere September 15.

The two-time National High School Wrestling Champion transitioned from the wrestling mats to MMA, and earned a spot on Season 10 of “The Ultimate Fighter,” racking up an impressive 10-2 professional record. In 2010, Wren would confront his toughest opponent: addiction.

With an opportunity to continue fighting on the table, Wren left the sport and began his recovery process. A chance meeting with a friend led Wren on a trip to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, where he came across and developed a deep connection with the Mbuti Pygmies, many of whom were enslaved, living on only the scraps the slave masters would pay them with. Wren found his calling there and wanted to do everything in his power to help the Pygmies. With multiple visits to the Congo, including a stint that lasted a year, Wren started a foundation called “Fight for the Forgotten.” Through his efforts, Wren and his staff of 17 have systematically bought the land of the slave owners, and have thus far legally given 2,740 acres of rainforest to the Pygmies, effectively freeing them from slavery.

Partnering with other groups like Shalom University and joining forces with Water4.org, Wren and his charity are responsible for drilling 26 water wells to help provide both the Pygmies and the former slave masters with clean water, and have plans to drill hundreds more. In addition, the team has begun a sustainable farming project to benefit and provide food to both the Pygmies and non-Pygmies of the community.

Having finally defeated his addiction, Wren now returns to MMA where he can fight with a clear mind for the first time in his professional career. If victorious, Wren will be donating his entire win bonus directly to his Pygmy family to continue his mission of creating land, water and food initiatives that will build better lives for the people of the Congo.

Wren and his opponent will join the Spike-televised card, which features Melvin “The Young Assassin” Guillard (32-14-2, 2 NC) versus Brandon “Cold Roll” Girtz (11-4) in the main event of the evening. In the co-headlining role, Saad Awad (18-6) takes on Patricky “Pitbull” Freire (13-6) and an additional heavyweight attraction with Lorenzo Hood (9-2) making his Bellator MMA debut against Raphael Butler (9-1-1).

“Bellator 141: Guillard vs. Girtz” – Friday, August 28, Pechanga Resort & Casino

Lucas Matthysse
LOS ANGELES (July 30, 2015) – On October 3, one the most exciting fighters and fearsome punchers in boxing, Lucas “La Máquina” Matthysse (37-3, 34 KOs) will take on the dangerous and undefeated Viktor “The Iceman” Postol (27-0, 11 KOs) for the vacant WBC World Super Lightweight Championship at StubHub Center in Carson, Calif. Presented by Golden Boy Promotions in association with Arano Box Promotions, Top Rank, Inc. and ELITE Boxing Promotion, the championship event will be televised live on HBO Boxing After Dark beginning at 10:15 p.m. ET/PT.

Tickets for Matthysse vs. Postol are priced at $150, $75, $50 and $25, plus applicable taxes, fees and services charges, and go on sale Friday, July 31 at 10 a.m. PT. Tickets can be purchased at AXS.com, by phone at 888-9-AXS-TIX (888-929-7849), and at StubHub Center Box Office (Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. PT to 6 p.m. PT). VIP Suites are available by calling 877-604-8777. For more information on group discounts or VIP packages, call 877-234-8425.

Below is what the fighters and their teams had to say about the upcoming showdown on Oct. 3:

“Postol isn’t anything big; he boxes well but that’s it,” said Lucas Matthysse, Former Interim WBC Super Lightweight World Champion. “I saw part of his fight against Selcuk Aydin but other than that there aren’t very many videos of him on the Internet. I’m not taking him lightly though, because he’s at the top of the rankings for a reason.”

“Postol is tall like John Molina, but Molina came to fight,” Matthyysse continued. “Postol, I don’t think so. He moves his left very well, fights at a distance, seems fast on his feet, and has excellent head movement. Against Aydin he got off to a slow start but then dominated and got the knockout. He’s good, but I’m confident that I’ll be the WBC World Champion.”

“I am glad that I am finally getting my chance to fight for the WBC world title after all those hurdles and delays,” said Viktor Postol, top super lightweight contender. “To get to this fight I had to go through 6 years of hard work and dedication in the gym and in the ring. I am ready mentally and physically to win this fight and bring the world title back to the Ukraine!”

“Lucas was the winning half of the 2014 fight of the year and once again came out on top of what nearly everyone considers the 2015 fight of the year – if fans want action, they know where they’re going to get it on Saturday, October 3,” said Oscar De La Hoya, Chairman and CEO of Golden Boy Promotions. “Lucas knows that a victory here would not only earn him the WBC World Super Lightweight Belt but would establish him as the clear top fighter in the division. With so much opportunity, I fully expect he’ll put on a dynamite show at StubHub Center.”

“Viktor is a tremendous boxer-puncher, and we give him a helluva shot to beat Lucas Matthysse,” said Boxing Hall of Fame Promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank, Inc.

“We’re going to work for this fight with the same or even greater responsibility than for Matthysse’s previous fights,” said Mario Arano, President of Arano Box Promotions. “I know Lucas will beat Postol by way of KO. After this fight we want Manny Pacquiao because even Bob Arum has mentioned the possibility of this fight happening. I’m sure our team at Golden Boy Promotions will work to make it happen.”

“After Postol, as the WBC World Champion, Lucas will be more than ready for mega-fights, Arano said. “That’s why we want Pacquiao, hopefully it can happen. If not, we’re ready for anyone. Too bad Mayweather will retire. Honestly, I truly believe the only fighter in the world that can beat Floyd is Lucas Matthysse.”

“We are looking forward to another great event with Lucas Matthysse who proves himself time after time to be one of the best fighters in the super lightweight division,” said Vadim Kornilov, manager for Viktor Postol and President of VK Management. “After the Provodnikov fight in which Lucas came out victorious, this fight is kind of like a revenge fight for our whole team, and we will make sure to not let this one slip away.

“In the last 10 years our company has done a lot to develop professional boxing in the Ukraine,” said Stepan Chernovetskiy, President of ELITE Boxing Promotions. “Viktor Postol has been one of our top prospects and we have done a lot to get him to a world title shot specifically with the WBC, which is one of the most respectable organizations. Viktor is a very good and technical boxer; myself and all of Ukraine will be supporting him in this fight and he has everything in order to win!”

“After giving fans one of the most riveting fights of 2015, Lucas Matthysse returns to face undefeated Viktor Postol, as these super-lightweights battle to capitalize on a well-earned opportunity to win a first world title,” said Peter Nelson, HBO Sports Vice President of Programming. “Having been home to so many memorable fights in recent years, the StubHub looks to have another in Matthysse-Postol, and we are privileged to present it to our subscribers October 3rd on Boxing After Dark.”

One of boxing’s most popular fighters, Lucas “La Maquina” Matthysse (37-3, 34 KOs, 1 NC) has achieved that status with good reason, as his one-punch knockout power and aggressive attack in the ring always makes for exciting bouts earning him the BWAA 2014 Muhammad Ali-Joe Frazier fight of the year honors. Hailing from Trelew, Chubut, Argentina, the former interim WBC Junior Welterweight World Champion, has shown the best form of his career in recent bouts, with wins over John Molina, Roberto Ortiz, and Ruslan Provodnikov not only giving him a three-fight winning streak, but putting him on the verge of winning the WBC Super Lightweight World Championship on October 3.

A boxer with the style to give anyone trouble on fight night, 31-year-old Viktor “The Iceman” Postol (27-0, 11 KOs) refuses to get rattled in the ring. After two recent wins in the United States over Selcuk Aydin and Jake Giuriceo, fans in America are starting to see just how good the Kiev, Ukraine native is. The number one contender for the vacant WBC Super Lightweight Title, Postol has scored professional wins over former world champion DeMarcus Corley and respected contender Hank Lundy. This fall, he hopes to add the name of Lucas Matthysse to the list of fighters he has vanquished on his way to earning him world champion status.

HBO Boxing After Dark’s first event took place at the Great Western Forum on February 3, 1996, headlined by the classic bout between Marco Antonio Barrera and Kennedy McKinney. Now, nearly two decades later, Matthysse and Postol will look to make their mark on California boxing history on Oct. 3.

Matthysse vs. Postol is a 12-round bout for the vacant WBC World Super Lightweight Championship presented by Golden Boy Promotions in association with Arano Box Promotions, Top Rank, Inc. and ELITE Boxing Promotion and is sponsored by Corona and Mexico – Live it To Believe It!. Here is what the participants had to say Wednesday:

DANNY GARCIA

“[On going up to 147 pounds] You’re going to see a lot more energy in the ring. You’ll see a smarter fighter. I’ll have more agility and we’re going to go in there to get the job done.

“We’re just working hard. At the end of the day it’s about being 100 percent prepared. I did everything right this camp and I’m ready.

“The game plan is to go in there and be Danny Garcia and be spectacular. I don’t know which Paulie to expect but I’m prepared for any version of him we see. I’m sparring a lot of guys who move and guys who come forward so I’m ready for anything.

“If we’re both at 100 percent then I’ll take my 100 percent over his without a doubt. My style is made to beat any fighter in the game. I’m sure he trained hard but we’re going to get this victory.

“I’m only focused on being a fighter. I don’t think anybody can beat a 110 percent Danny Garcia. At the end of the day, I know I beat a lot of good fighters and I’m going to show my heart in the ring.

“There’s no pressure but I’m looking forward to an excellent performance. I’m ready to fight today if the fight was today. I feel faster at 147. I won’t be flat-footed in there. You’re going to see it all on Saturday.

“I feel like I’m one of the most versatile fighters in the sport. I’m going to feel strong for 12 rounds on Saturday. I’ve felt strong all camp.”

PAULIE MALIGNAGGI

“I feel great at 147 pounds. I’ve always felt very strong at this weight and it’s where I should be. I still had to make sacrifices in training but I’ve never made weight so easily. I’m coming off back-to-back camps and I feel like I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been.

“To be a two-time world champion you need to be able to do more than just jab and move. My IQ and my overall boxing ability and skillset make me the fighter that I am today.

“I don’t think Danny is overlooking me but I feel that the fans and the media are. I love challenges and I love things that motivate me. I wake up in the morning saying this is hard, but I know I can do it.

“The bigger the challenge the more excited I am. It brings the best out of me. I have fought some of the greatest fighters of our time. There’s no reason I would stop now.

“Fighting at home at Barclays Center against Danny Garcia, one of the biggest fights in boxing, I couldn’t ask for more.”

DANIEL JACOBS

“Sergio Mora is a slick fighter. He can slip punches well and he’s defensively minded. He’s a cagey fighter but he lacks power. He has a lot of defensive flaws and I just have to be patient and take advantage of them.

“We have a game plan in store, but in a pro fight anything can happen. You have to be able to adjust on the fly.

“I have a great team that helps me take care of things so that I can focus on training. I avoid all distractions that would take me away from being at my best.

“Fighting on the PBC cards has been outstanding. I love the intro and coming out on that stage. I felt like a superstar.

“This training camp has been a pleasure, hard work but a pleasure. It was difficult because Sergio is so hard to prepare for. You can’t prepare for it with sparring or just one thing. I’m looking forward to showing my true skills and showing what a true champion is.”

SERGIO MORA

“I’m thrilled about this opportunity. I’ve had two huge letdowns before with world title shots falling through. Now that this is here, there is no way I’m going to let it pass me by.

“I’m happy to be here. I’m happy to be at Barclays and happy to be on PBC. I love being the underdog and I’m going to shock the world on Saturday night.

“I’m in the second phase of my career now, DiBella and PBC have saved my career and my life.

“PBC is great, it’s free TV and we’re putting out heart, blood, sweat and tears into this and the fans get to see it on free TV. This is great for the fans, for the fighters and for the entire sport as a whole; it’s what boxing needed.”

RAFAEL VASQUEZ

“This is a great opportunity and a blessing to be on this card. There’s so many great fighters from Brooklyn. Barclays Center is great and it gives us fighters from Brooklyn the opportunity to fight at a first class venue right here at home.

[On his Autistic eight-year-old daughter Kaylene]…”I want to show other people that are dealing with this, that they are not alone. I see this as a blessing to be able to raise awareness and speak out and show other families that are struggling with Autism that we are in this together.

“When people see me step into the ring I want them to know that I’m not only fighting for myself but I’m fighting for them. I want to be the face of Autism in boxing.”

HEATHER HARDY

“It’s really important to me that I stay relevant and that I’m a part of the conversation so when I saw this fight coming up in August I made sure that I was on this card.

“There really is extra motivation going up against Renata Domsodi again. I felt like when the two of us faced off last time and the bout was ruled a no contest that we owed it to every other female boxer to show that we belong there and I thought she quit.

“Renata was coming in with her face down swinging her arms and I charged her while she was coming in and that caused the cut. We’ve been working on stepping to the side when she does that and being a little bit more patient.

“If all goes well Saturday I’ll be ready to get back in the ring in September. I’m in shape and I live in the gym. This is what I do. You have to stay a part of the conversation. I want to see a higher level of competition every time I step into the ring.

“This is probably the hardest I’ve ever worked, out of all of my camps. Not for any other reason than just putting in extra work. Honestly I’m in the best shape of my life.”

TRAVIS PETERKIN

“I’ve trained so hard, I put blood, sweat and tears into this. I put my soul into this. I put my life into this. We’re ready.

“It’s no secret that I’m from Brooklyn, born and raised, I didn’t move here from anywhere. Guys like Mike Tyson, Riddick Bowe and Shannon Briggs I just want to follow in their footsteps. I want to be great and learn from those that came before me.

“I’m a boxer-puncher. I’ll adapt to the fighter. If he runs, I’ll go get him. But I also know how to be smart and use my technical abilities.

“I’m facing a tough guy in Lenin Castillo. He’s got a good record and was a 2008 Olympian. Everything looks good on paper, but when the time comes, I’m going to take him out.

“I train right here at Gleason’s. When we’re a couple months from a fight everybody is smiling and joking but when we’re this close to the fight, everybody is serious. It’s all about hard work.”

Said Moore, “I have never worked with such an incredible trainer. It’s all about being secure with constructive criticism and understanding that this man is here to take me to that championship level like he has done so many others.”

In a gym filled with talent, it could be hard to stand out in a crowd of so many fighters, but Moore has gotten the attention of not only his trainer Jeff Mayweather and strength and conditioning coach Delaney Howard. Recently a special guest came and gave some advice to Mike. Floyd Mayweather Sr. was walking around, and he jumped in the ring and starting giving Moore some of his wisdom.

Michael Moore is all about his family. He Google video chats with his wife and children up to three-times a day and absolutely hates being away from them. Mike Moore on working with strength and conditioning coach Delaney Howard:

“Delaney has known me my whole life. He knows how to really push me to the next level and pump me up when I eel like I’ve had enough. This boxing game is no joke and its important to have a team around you that won’t let you stop & won’t let you give up. That motivates you to that championship level.”

Skoglund: ‘’This is the start of a new era for Swedish boxing

Big time boxing returns to Sweden on September 19 when Erik Skoglund (22-0, 11 KOs) defends his IBF Intercontinental Light Heavyweight title against Oleskandr Cherviak (15-4-1, 5 KOs) at the Rosvalla Stora Ishallen at the Nyköpings Arenor in Nyköping, Sweden.

In a landmark decision for Swedish boxing, the country’s Martial Arts Delegation accepted an application for Skoglund to box 12 x 3 minute rounds, making the 24 year-old the first male boxer to contest a major title on Swedish soil since 1968.

Ahead of his historic homecoming, Skoglund reveals his desire for Swedish boxing to return to the glory days of the 1950s and 1960s when Ingemar Johansson ruled supreme and 53,615 spectators packed the Ullevi Stadium in Gothenburg to witness ‘Ingo’s Bingo’.

‘’Since I’ve started boxing I’ve seen the sport get smaller and smaller,’’ said Skoglund. ‘’Although we’ve had world champions they’ve not been able to fight at home so the sport has really suffered. Thankfully that’s all changing now and it’s an honour for me to be the person to bring professional boxing back to Sweden. This fight and what it represents is bigger than a world title fight, it’s bigger than me! This is the start of a new era for Swedish boxing.

‘’I’d like to see boxing return to the glory days of the 50s and 60s. Everyone knew and loved Ingemar Johansson. He could sell out football stadiums all over the country. I want boxing to become a popular sport in Sweden again. I know it’s not going to happen over night but we’re taking a huge step in the right direction.

‘’We’re making history! This is going to be the biggest show in Sweden since the 1960s. Team Sauerland are one of the top promoters in the world and for them to stage an event here is a massive occasion. I have all the motivation I need, and on September 19, I’m going to put on the performance of a lifetime. Nobody should miss this fight!’’

TICKET UPDATE: Tickets for the IBF Intercontinental Championship fight between Erik Skoglund and Oleskandr Cherviak go on sale tomorrow (Thursday, July 30) at 7.00am and are available via BILJETTFORUM.SE.

Cormier (15-1, fighting out of San Jose, Calif.), the second U.S. Olympian to become a UFC champion (women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey was the first) captured the vacant 205-pound world title after submitting No. 1 contender Anthony Johnson at UFC 187. Looking to begin his reign atop the light heavyweight division, Cormier gladly welcomes his next opponent, Gustafsson, to center stage. Having defeated legends and former champions in Dan Henderson, Frank Mir and Josh Barnett, “DC” plans to add another name to his near perfect record.

Gustafsson (16-3, fighting out of Stockholm, Sweden), a deadly striker who rose to title contention with 10 knockout victories and eight first-round finishes, makes his way back to the Octagon® with his eyes locked on UFC gold. Almost two years removed from a thrilling back-and-forth battle against former champion and pound-for-pound best Jon Jones, which earned Fight of the Year honors in 2013, the Swede will finally get a second chance at the championship title.

Additional bouts to be announced soon.

For group tickets, please call 855-GROUP-BK.

Here is what the fight participants have had to say from their media conference call and Garcia’s media workout:

DANNY GARCIA

“I’m not really concerned about Paulie, at this point in my career if I’m 110% percent ready, I feel like I can adapt to anything and find a way to win.

“It feels great to be at 147. For the first time in a long time, I could worry about training to get better and not training to lose weight. I’ve been fighting at 140 my whole career.

“I’ve been the underdog before, I’ve been the underdog before and I won. I can’t listen to none of that stuff after just going through each fight like I was, mentally prepared, physically prepared going in and get the job done.

“We added things to our workout now. We added a lot of explosive workouts, a lot of agility, a lot of footwork, a lot of things to making you more explosive, things I couldn’t do at 140 because I didn’t have the energy for it. But now the extra weight is really helping me.

“I’m very confident. I faced a lot of good fighters. I faced a lot of great fighters in my career. I have a lot of experience. I was a big 140-pound fighter. I’ve never faced a 140-pound fighter who was taller than me or who looked better than me.

“But I feel like at 147, you’re going to see a more athletic Danny Garcia and be able to use my legs more, using my jab more and see punches clearer. When you drain yourself as hard to see punches, then you get hit with a lot of dumb punches because your vision is not clear.

“I feel like my vision is going to be a lot clearer and be able to move my head, see the punches better, use my feet. And I think I’m going to be a champion at 147, too. I know so.”

PAULIE MALIGNAGGI

“I think styles make fight. From a style point of view there are things that I feel like I’ll be able to do against Danny. But I also expect Danny had made some adjustments since those fights.

“You get to the point when you’re not in the ring for a while. It’s going through my mind that maybe I don’t want to fight. But as time went by and I started working out again, I started realizing that it was something I missed. It was something I was still craving. I wanted to be back in there.

“If we’re going to talk about the layoff, people are going to talk about the fact that, I haven’t fought for a long time. But in reality, I actually haven’t trained this consistently in a decade, literally a decade.

“I do feel the sharpness in a gym. I do feel the timing is really good. Obviously my weight has come down. So, that’s a good feeling knowing that I have to drop a lot of weight during the training camp just working on the sharpness and keep getting better.

“I’m not looking at it as having any advantages. It’s just a matter of matching of my skills to his skills.
“I can’t really tell you exactly how I’m going to play it out until I’m in the ring myself. I plan on being the best me possible. I plan on being the sharpest me possible. And right now, in training, I feel really good. The plan is to flow this training camp into a sharp night on August 1st.”

DANIEL JACOBS

“It’ll be against the most experienced guy I’ve faced thus far. I’m looking forward to testing my challenge against this slick, crafty veteran in Sergio Mora.

“So there’s not a lot of fear as far as power is concerned but where he lacks that he makes up in his craftiness and his slickness and awkwardness and sometimes he does engage in the action as well.

“The test with Sergio Mora is – whether that he can be stopped or whether or not I can go the distance with him, he’s never been stopped before, so it will be icing on the cake to be able to not only to defeat him but to stop him in the match.

“I feel like I have a lot more advantages than he does in the fight. But whatever my advantages are and whatever gets me going, will be the deciding factor for me I would stick to. So if it’s my speed, then I’ll stick to using my speed. If it’s my power, backing him down, showing him what a real middleweight feels like, then that’s what I would do.”

SERGIO MORA

“I think I’m going to be an underdog for this fight again, fighting the younger, stronger champion in his hometown. So defeating him is going to be tough with all the cards stacked against me and that’s something that I grown used to and accustomed to.

“This is going to be a really exciting card because he’s in his hometown and defending the world title. I’m hungry for that world title and I know that I’m going to have to be extra sharp and do a lot more than just have a close victory in his hometown. So I’m going to have to press action and go out of my comfort zone and I think he’s going to have to go out of his comfort zone, which is going to make an interesting fight for everybody.

“I just continue educating people about the sweet science and letting them know that power is not the number one aspect you need to be successful it’s your agility, techniques, your defense, body shots, the strategy, it’s following that strategy it’s hard.

“Like I said, I think he possess everything that I don’t. But I have the experience. I think I take a better shot from experience with Danny and I think I follow my game plan more than Danny. A lot of boxers especially a lot of young athletic fighters they go out of their game plan and once they see that it’s not working. As a veteran, I know that it’s not working initially.”
