Las Vegas – Former UFC® light heavyweight champion and current fifth-ranked middleweight contender Lyoto Machida makes a quick return to the Octagon® to meet No. 6 Yoel Romero in the main event of UFC FIGHT NIGHT®: MACHIDA vs. ROMERO on Saturday, June 27 at Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla.

Machida (22-6, fighting out of Los Angeles, Calif. by way of Belem, Brazil), a black belt in both karate and Brazilian jiu-jitsu, has nine knockouts and two submission victories to his credit, and has defeated former champions Dan Henderson, Randy Couture, Tito Ortiz, Shogun Rua and Rashad Evans. One of the most unorthodox and dangerous strikers the sport has ever seen, “The Dragon” will be a step up in competition for Olympic silver medalist Romero (9-1, fighting out of Coconut Creek, Fla. by way of Pinar del Rio, Cuba). Coming off a third-round knockout victory over Tim Kennedy at UFC 178, Romero welcomes the former champ to his current hometown of Coconut Creek, with hopes that an impressive win will get him one step closer to a shot at the middleweight world title.

CES Boxing returns to Twin River Casino in Lincoln, R.I., on July 17th for the second installment of its 2015 Twin River Fight Series, which also includes events Sept. 4th and Nov. 13th.

The most established of CES’ young guns, Williams (9-0-1, 5 KOs) is coming off his most impressive win to date, a fourth-round knockout over tough veteran Eddie Caminero in February, a stoppage so picturesque it landed a spot later that night among ESPN SportsCenter’s Top 10 highlights.

“That was a good fight for me. It showed my fans what I’m made of,” said Williams, a former college football standout in Connecticut now fighting in the junior middleweight division at 154 pounds. “I can do it all. Boxer, slugger, whatever it takes to win a fight.”

With five consecutive wins under his belt since his lone blemish (a draw against Greg Jackson in 2013), Williams is preparing to return to the ring this summer as he continues his quest toward cracking the 154-pound world ratings while eventually challenging for – and winning – a world title.

“That’s the goal, but I’m taking it one fight at a time,” he said. “I’ve just got to keep focusing and keep winning. There’s a lot of great talent here in New England, a lot of good, young fighters trying to make a name for themselves.”

Among them is DeLomba (7-0, 1 KO), the 25-year-old welterweight protégé of Gary Balletto who has finally found stability both in and outside of the ring.

Having endured turmoil within his camp during the early stages of his professional career, DeLomba has formed an unbreakable bond with his new trainer, Victor Fagnant. His newfound dedication and focus has shown in the ring, where DeLomba earned his first career knockout in April, pummeling Connecticut vet Joe Wilson Jr. in a third-round stoppage.

“I worked on sitting down on my punches and getting the maximum amount of leverage on each punch,” explained DeLomba.

“I feel like now that we’ve got a complete team, everything is starting to fall into place. I’ve got the right people backing me. Everything from cutting weight to personal training to boxing with Coach Vic, everything is falling into place. I’m a much more complete fighter.”

With wins over four New England welterweights already on his resume, DeLomba will return to the ring July 17th at Twin River to put his unbeaten record on the line.

“New England is definitely on the rise. Boxing, period, is on the rise,” DeLomba said. “We’ve got a lot of great fighters. I’ve fought a ton of them, both with and against them. There’s a lot of talent out here and a lot of great things to come for each and every one of us.”

Arguably the most electrifying prospect in New England, Gray-Pitts (7-0, 5 KOs) has kept the beat going with five knockout wins since making his professional debut in June of 2014. Having fought an unprecedented seven times within the last 11 months, Gray-Pitts boasts an impressive streak of four consecutive first-round knockouts fighting in the junior middleweight division.

“I feel like I’m getting better with each fight,” he said. “Each win is a step in the right direction.”

His success has struck fear in the hearts of New England’s fellow junior middleweights and earned Gray-Pitts a reputation as one of the most feared – and avoided – fighters in the region.

“I dealt with that in the amateurs, too,” Gray-Pitts said. “When I started getting knockouts fight after fight, no one in New England wanted to fight me. I fought tournaments in New York and even went to Washington just to get fights.

“I’ve seen a lot of changes since my first fight,” he continued. “I’m throwing more punches and putting more behind each punch. I just want to stay active, stay busy and keep my record up.”

The signing of Perez, an amateur vet born in Puerto Rico and raised in Marlboro as a teenager, is one of many additions CES plans to announce in the near future, in addition to its complete 2016 schedule. A former Southern New England Golden Gloves champion, Perez will make his professional debut this summer.

The event will feature Brooklyn Heavyweight Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller (12-0, 10 KO’s) vs. Damon McCreary (15-4,11 KO’s); two-time Daily News Golden Gloves champion and Bronx based Jr. Middleweight contender Steve Martinez (15-2, 12 KO’s); Brooklyn’s Dimash Niyazov (7-0-3, 4 KO’s); former New York State champion Ariel Duran (8-7-1, 5 KO’s); and Brooklyn Middleweight Akil Aguste (6-1, 5 KO’s). LONDON (15 May) – British superstar Amir Khan’s crunch clash with the slick Chris Algieri will be televised live and exclusive on BoxNation on Friday May 29.

The former unified light-welterweight world champion takes on New Yorker Algieri in his backyard as they clash in a 12-round welterweight contest at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

This fight will mark the return of the Olympian on ‘The Channel of Champions’ after having fought twice before on BoxNation against Julio Diaz in 2013 and Luis Collazo last May.

28-year-old Khan, who is coming off a stunning one sided points win over Devon Alexander last December, is aware of the threat that Algieri possesses having captured the WBO light-welterweight title from Ruslan Provodnikov before sharing the ring with Manny Pacquiao.

A win for the speedy Khan could open the doors to a megafight with pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather later this year but Algieri is no one to overlook having upset the odds before when he won his first world title last summer.

“Algieri is a very tricky and crafty fighter,” said Khan. “I always say that styles make fights and I know that we both have the right styles to make this a very entertaining and all-action affair. David Price will fight in Liverpool for the first time in two years at the Echo Arena on Friday June 26 as part of a huge bill live on Sky Sports.

The popular Heavyweight joins an all-star cast with World-rated Super Middleweight’s Callum Smith and Rocky Fielding in crunch clashes against Christopher Rebrasse and Brian Vera respectively, while Tony Bellew closes in on a first World title shot at Cruiserweight following his victory over bitter rival Nathan Cleverly in November.

Price’s last outing in his hometown was his rematch with Tony Thompson in July 2013, and the 31 year old has since notched four wins in Denmark and Germany with three KOs, a run of form that has landed him a European title fight with Erkan Teper with purse bids set for next week, and the former British and Commonwealth champion believes he’ll bring his best to the ring on June 26.

“This homecoming means a lot to me,’’ said Price. “I’m buzzing to be back in Liverpool and back fighting at the Echo Arena. It’s been longer than I had anticipated but it will be well worth the wait to be part of such a big night of boxing for the city.

“My last fight in Liverpool didn’t go as planned but that’s ancient history now. It’s behind me and I’ve moved on. Callum Smith’s clash with Rebrasse for the WBC Silver Super Middleweight title represents an acid test for the hotly-tipped 25 year old. Promoter Eddie Hearn said Smith was ready to be “let off the leash” after he returned to the ring with a first round KO in Birmingham last weekend, and in Rebrasse he meets a fighter that will ask him tough questions. The Frenchman has travelled to England before when he took George Groves the distance for the European title, and Smith expects the toughest night of his career.

“He’s going to be the best that I have boxed in the pros,” said Smith. “He’s only lost three times and they have all been on points, he gave George Groves a really tough fight and I don’t think that the scorecards reflected how close the fight was. He’s big for the weight and it’s a really competitive fight for me and it will be interesting to see what level I am at after the fight – I think it’s the perfect fight at the perfect time.”

Fielding’s meeting with Vera promises to be an all-action affair as the Texan comes to Liverpool boasting a CV with wins over current World Middleweight king Andy Lee and former World champions Serhiy Dzinziruk and Sergio Mora. Fielding returned to the ring in March from an eight month absence through injury, and the 27 year old is itching to test himself against the visitor.

“Vera is a big step-up for me,” said Fielding. “He has some great wins on his record and he’s tested some really big names, so for me to get a win over him on my record would be a great statement.”

Following his win over Cleverly, Bellew swapped Liverpool for Hollywood as he took part in the filming of Creed, part of the Rocky film series, but now the 32 year old is focussed on his day job with a World title clash with IBF king Yoan Hernandez mooted for the autumn as he takes on the experienced Czech Lubos Suda.

“I’ve settled into the Cruiserweight division nicely and I am ready to take a World title shot,” said Bellew. “There are some tough, tough fighters with belts in the division, but I believe that I can beat them and get my hands on their titles.”

Baltimore, MD (May 14, 2015) – Knockout Fitness will host the first ever fight card at a Baltimore casino when they bring “Fighting The Odds” to the Horseshoe Casino Saturday, June 6.

Based out of the Baltimore area, Show Your Soft Side is a nonprofit campaign that helps combat animal cruelty.

Headlining the card will be Jason Nissley of Baltimore. The co-owner of Knockout Fitness and winner of Baltimore Magazine’s best Personal trainer and best group fitness instructor, Nissley is making the jump from trainer to fighter. Nissley meets an opponent to be announced.

In the semi-main event, well regarded middleweight Jerome Featherstone makes his return to the squared circle. An exceptional athlete with an outstanding track record, Featherstone was a top local wrestler at Boys Latin High School and went on to standout at the University of Oklahoma. Only one year after first putting on a pair of gloves, Featherstone won the Maryland/DC Golden Gloves and competed in nationals. He will meet an opponent TBA for the Maryland State Middleweight title.

The undercard will also feature locals Steven Layer, Stephon Morris and Adam Gabriel in separate bouts. More fights will be announced shortly.

LOS ANGELES (May 14) – After another sellout crowd at the May 7 installment of LA FIGHT CLUB, boxing’s popular new series on FOX Sports 1 and FOX Deportes is back and heating up as summer approaches. On Thursday, June 4, The Belasco Theater will once again host another sizzling edition as undefeated top prospect Jayson Velez (22-0-1, 16 KOs) of Caguas, Puerto Rico will battle it out against Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico’s Daniel “Huracan” Ramirez (11-1, 5 KOs), in hopes of continuing his winning streak in a 10-round featherweight bout. Velez and Ramirez replace the previously announced Ronny Rios who had to withdraw due to injury.

Hailing from Caguas, Puerto Rico, Jayson Velez made his professional debut in 2007 and his U.S. debut in his ninth fight in June 2009 triumphing over Jesus Bayron at Madison Square Garden in New York City. In 2012, Velez returned to Madison Square Garden to face Salvador Sánchez II, winning the WBC Silver Featherweight Championship. Velez has continued his winning streak through 2014, most recently taking down Miguel Soto in a second round technical knockout victory in April 2014 in Puerto Rico. A professional since 2012, Daniel “Huracan” Ramirez of Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico is looking to add another win to his record when he faces Velez on June 4. One of the most exciting prospects in the sport, 19-year-old super featherweight Christian “Chimpa” Gonzalez has thrilled fans by winning each of his professional bouts by knockout, seven in the first round. Fresh from a sixth-round stoppage of Julio Sarinana at The Belasco Theater on March 6 that forced him to rise from the canvas for the first time to win, LA’s Gonzalez always brings the thrills on fight night.

Pablo Rubio, from Whittier, Calif., is set to make his professional debut at the June 4 edition of LA FIGHT CLUB. Rubio fought in the 2014 USA Boxing Junior and Youth Open in the youth lightweight class at 123 lbs. He has sparred with the likes of undefeated professional boxer Leo Santa Cruz. David Lemieux first captured the attention of the boxing world during his impressive win against Gabriel “The King” Rosado in Brooklyn, New York December 2014. NETHERLANDS (May 14, 2015) – The 2015 Asian World Mixed Martial Arts Association (WMMAA) Championship will be held May 22-25 at Palace of Sports in Khujand, Tajikistan.

More than 100 athletes are expected to compete as part of teams consisting of eight members (seven athletes and one coach), representing a diverse group of participating countries including Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Iran, Afghanistan, India and South Korea.

Russian MMA Union president and WMMAA honorary president Fedor Emelianenko, arguably the greatest MMA fighter of all-time, will be present at the 2015 Asian WMMMA Championship.

One division has been expanded this year for a total of seven weight classes: bantamweight – 134 ½ lbs. (-61.2 kg), featherweight (145 lbs., -65.8 kg), lightweight (154 1/2 lbs., -70.3 kg), welterweight (169 ½ lbs., -77.2 kg), middleweight (185 lbs., -84 kg), light heavyweight (205 lbs., -93 kg) and heavyweight (206 lbs. or more, +93kg).

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (May 14th, 2015) – From shopping for rings to stepping inside of one, 2015 figures to be a prominent chapter in the story of Philadelphia’s “Hammerin’” Hank Lundy.

Six days after he walks down the aisle to tie the knot with his longtime fiancée, Valerie, Lundy will step back into the ring to face super lightweight contender Mauricio Herrera in the 10-round main event of Golden Boy Promotions’ July 11th show in Los Angeles live on HBO Latino.

As his life outside of the ring changes, Lundy (25-4-1, 12 KOs) hopes his current career path can take a similar turn for the better. Eight years into a career that has featured its share of ups and down, the 31-year-old Lundy is at crossroads coming off a narrow loss to Thomas Dulorme in his HBO debut in December.

Still ranked No. 9 in the World Boxing Council (WBC) among 140-pounders, Lundy knows a big win on national television puts him right back in the championship mix, a prime spot for a fighter who’s no stranger to the big stage.

“I’m eager to show the world they haven’t seen the best of me yet,” Lundy said.

On the surface, Lundy is the same brash, outspoken, take-on-all-comers boxer cut from the same cloth as almost every other fighter out of Philadelphia, but he’s matured in recent years. Before he and his fiancée decided to get married, they bought their first home together. Lundy admits he’s now a “homebody” who doesn’t get out much, instead focusing on family and fighting.

In addition to the not-so-subtle domestic changes, he’s gone back to his roots, reuniting with longtime trainer Charles Ramey, who guided Lundy through his amateur career and his first 16 fights as a professional before the two parted ways.

“I had to dig down deep and go back to where it all started,” Lundy said. “Most fighters, they like to go around and work with different trainers. When I had Charles, he brought out the best in me.

“He was hard on me, but he knows what I’m capable of and that’s what I like. He’s one hell of a boxing coach. I’m just ready to get in the ring and show the world the real ‘Hammerin’’ Hank.”

Asked why he and Ramey split up in the first place, Lundy admits success got to his head – the knockout wins, the accolades, the numberous appearances on ESPN.

“When you’re coming up in the boxing game and you get a little fame, everyone in is in your ear,” he said. “You get a little arrogant. I got big-headed. I’m not going to lie, Charles and I are both stubborn. Neither one of us wanted to come to the table and talk, so I put my little bundle on the stick and left.

“But I’ll say it like this: At the end of the day, the person who started you off knows what makes you tick. They know how hard to drive you, what buttons to push. Sometimes another coach might change things and you think it’s for the better, but they never learn you.”

With Ramey back in his corner, familiarity – or lack thereof – won’t be an issue when Lundy squares off with Herrera (21-5, 7 KOs), a tough, battle-tested veteran and former world champion in the lightweight division with wins over Ruslan Provodnikov and Johan Perez in addition to a 12-round battle with current WBC and World Boxing Association (WBA) super lightweight champ Danny Garcia on his resume. He’s also ranked No. 7 among 140-pounders in the WBA.

But don’t mistake Lundy’s mature, family-man exterior as a subsequent lack of hunger, or taming of the beast, so to speak.

Lundy promises “fireworks” in July with Ramey back in his camp, and he typically delivers when the pressure’s on. The fight against Dulorme was all action from the opening bell, with Lundy picking himself up off the canvas following a first-round knockdown and eventually hurting Dulorme in the later rounds before losing a split decision. More importantly, it was a learning experience he hopes will serve as a reference point when he steps back into the HBO spotlight in July.

Wilder, the first United States-born heavyweight champion since Shannon Briggs won the WBO belt in November 2006, was born and raised in Tuscaloosa. He’s fought in Alabama five times, although the bout on the campus of the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) will mark the first occasion he’s fought outside of Tuscaloosa (four times) or Mobile (once). This will be the first fight in his home state since August 2012.

Wilder started boxing at the age of 21 after his daughter Naieya (pronounced nie-EE-ya) was born with spina bifida. Despite his late start in boxing, Wilder would go on to represent the United States in the 2008 Olympic Games, where he won a bronze medal. He is the last American male boxer to medal in the Olympics.

Until going the distance against Stiverne, Wilder hadn’t come close to putting in a full night’s work since turning pro in November 2008. The then-virtually untested slugger had fought a total of 58 rounds, an average of 1.8 rounds per outing. He’s registered 18 knockouts in the first round, eight in the second.

Molina, who resides in Weslaco, Texas, is a big slugger, rugged and strong. He has good skills and movement and, like Wilder, got a belated start in boxing but has had only two defeats as a professional.

“The Drummer Boy” is on a roll, coming off five consecutive victories. Molina’s matchup with Wilder will be his first shot at a world title.

NEW YORK (May 14, 2015) – New York women’s boxing history will be made tomorrow night (Friday, May 15) as FDNY boxing team and Ring 8 member Susan Reno fights Paola Ortiz in a 6-round bout featuring 3-minute rounds for the first time. Women professional fights in New York have always had 2-minute rounds in the past.

Reno vs. Ortiz II is a scheduled 6-round bout between fighters who originally fought to a 4-round majority draw this past February 13 at Long Island City in Queens. The rematch will be held Friday evening on a card presented by Uprising Promotions at Masonic Temple in Brooklyn, New York.

Singapore – UFC® announced today that it will be returning to the Saitama Super Arena on the 27th September 2015 with UFC Fight Night Japan. This will be the fourth UFC event in Japan and the second event in Asia this year. “I know Danny O’Connor pretty well. He’s a good boxer who had a good amateur career. He can be pretty slick and he’s a real intelligent guy. He’s not going to just hand it to you so you have to use your mind against him.

“O’Connor is going to come hungry. With the situation he’s in, he’s really been looking for this opportunity in his career. I expect the hungriest and best possible Danny O’Connor.

“I’m going to go out in the first round see what I’m looking for. I’m not going to go out and expect something from him, but we’ll make adjustments. If I see some of his patterns that I’ve seen on video, then I’ll know what to do. I’m going to look to take apart what’s in front of me.

“Gleason’s Gym is the first place I ever learned to box. I learned to throw a jab in here. I learned to throw a right hand in here. All of my fundamentals came from here. I didn’t have a clue about boxing before I came to Gleason’s. I owe a lot to this gym.

“There was a good six months where I didn’t really care about coming back. I was satisfied. But then I just started to miss being a competitor. I was keeping busy but the competition was missing in my life. Once I got back in the gym and started hitting the bag and I felt good I knew I wanted to get back out there.

“It’s been tough balancing the schedule out with my announcing. It’s a mental challenge to make sure you’re still training despite all the other responsibilities. To me that proves that I still have the passion to fight. I still wanted to train no matter how busy I got.

“I’m thankful to be able to be a part of something really big like this. Sometimes you take a bad loss in your career and you can take a big step back but I’m thankful to have an opportunity to be on a highly elevated show like this, it’s really cool.

“I’d still like to fight for a world title and take on big names. If I could win another title I feel like I can put myself into the position to go into the Hall of Fame as a fighter. I’ve been fighting at a high level since 2006, a good percentage of them have been world class opponents.

“PBC is really amazing, I think it’s great for the sport. It’s going to build up new stars because fighters are going to be on your television constantly. I think people are going to start to really follow it. You’re going to see a lot of different kinds of fights and fighters, there’s something for everybody.”

“Training camp has been very good, this is probably the biggest fight of my career so far against Noemi Bosques. I’m fighting the number two bantamweight and I’m really excited.

“I haven’t changed my training at all. I go into every fight to win and I always give 100 percent.

“I’m really happy to be back in the ring so quickly. I was winning my last fight and I was ready to knock this girl out, but then the head butt stopped it prematurely. There was an unfinished feeling after the last fight, almost like a sparring session.

LOS ANGELES (May 13) – Philadelphia’s Eric “The Outlaw” Hunter (19-3, 9 KOs) is set to kick-off Memorial Day Weekend when he faces seasoned contender Antonio Escalante (29-7, 20 KOs) of El Paso, Texas on Friday, May 22 in a 10-round super welterweight bout as the main event for Golden Boy Live on FOX Sports 1 and FOX Deportes from Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, Calif.

Added to the action, in the televised opening bout, Chinese heavyweight sensation Taishan (4-0, 2 KOs), will face an opponent yet to be named in a four-round heavyweight opening televised bout. Taishan is fresh off his impressive win against Jamal Woods at Minute Maid Park in Houston on May 9 as part of the undercard for Canelo vs. Kirkland.

Finally on track to fulfilling the potential so many saw in him, 28-year-old Eric “The Outlaw” Hunter (20-3, 10 KOs) was an alternate on the 2004 United States Olympic team who fought through the ups and downs of the fight game and is now looking to get in the title picture in 2015. Winner of five of his last six bouts, including three straight, the Philadelphia native defeated highly-regarded Rene Alvarado in January and he wants to keep the momentum going on May 22.

Before his professional debut in 2003, Antonio Escalante had a celebrated amateur career, with an impressive record of 40-3 and winning two Golden Glove Championships. Since then, Escalante has faced some of the toughest opponents in the sport, taking on the famed Daniel Ponce De Leon, Rocky Juarez and Leonilo Miranda. 2014 was a busy year for Escalante as he defeated Sammy Venutra in January and faced Miguel Berchelt in October. Now the Texas native is looking to claim a victory when he faces Hunter on May 22.

La Puente, California’s Abraham “Chamaco” Lopez may have suffered a draw against Juan Carlos Martinez in his last appearance at Fantasy Springs in March, but the talented 27-year-old promises to take matters into his own hands this May. To do so, he plans on showing off the knockout power that has led him to 10 knockout wins in three rounds or less once more in front of his Southern California fans.

Hailing from Beijing, seven-foot heavyweight Taishan, has captured the imagination of boxing fans both in China and in his adopted home in California. After turning professional in 2014 and scoring two quick knockouts, the 26-year-old showed that he has what it takes to win over the distance, as he scored a near-shutout victory over Roy McCrary in February of 2015 and had a unanimous victory over Jamal Woods on May 9. The heavyweight is eager to continue his winning streak when he fights at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino for the third time.

Rising prospect Joet Gonzalez of Glendora, California has been steadily climbing the professional ranks since his debut in 2012. Shooto Brazil is the latest promotion to be added to the ever-expanding UFC FIGHT PASS fight library. Last week, the library of the legendary International Vale Tudo promotion – which ran 13 events Brazil in the late 1990s – was uploaded to UFC FIGHT PASS. ST. PETERSBURG, Russia (May 13, 2015) – Brazilian invader Igor “Chatubinha” Fernandes will battle Russian foe Murad “Hunter” Abdulaev on June 6 for the vacant M-1 Challenge welterweight title, headlining M-1 Challenge 58: Battle in the Mountains 4, at Ingushetia, Russia.

Fernandes (18-6-0, 2 KO/TKO, 13 SUB), who has won his last six fights, will be making his M-1 debut against Abdulaev (14-3-1, 5 KO/TKO, 1 SUB), who is unbeaten in two M-1 Challenge fights.

During the past few years, Fernandes has been too dangerous for many fighters to take on, leaving him inactive for the past 26 months. The gifted welterweight immediately deserved and received a title shot upon signing with M-1 Global.

Abdulaev has won 11 of his last 12 fights. A dangerous striker with a solid ground game, Abdulaev is coming off an impressive knockout win over Daniel Tabera last October at M-1 Challenge 52.

A pair of potentially explosive featherweight fights have also been announced for M-1 Challenge 58 as American Lee “American Bulldog” Morrison faces Pavel Vitruk, and Antun Racic meets Tural Ragimov.

Morrison (13-5-0, 4 KO/TKO, 4 SUB, fighting out of Okanogon Washington, is out to snap his two-fight losing streak to Ragimov (SUB1 – arm-lock) at M-1 Challenge 49 last June and a five-round decision to defending champion Marat Gufurov for the M-1 Challenge title at M-1 Challenge 47. The physically strong, experienced American fighter is planning a rebound June 6.

Last February at M-1 Challenge 55, Vitruk (12-1-0, 3 KO/TKO, 2 SUB) lost at M-1 Challenge 55 in a battle of unbeaten fighters to Max Coga by way of a third-round submission (choke). The Ukraine native who lives in St. Petersburg, Russia is a Muay Thai specialist.

Racic (17-5-0, 13 SUB) is a young, Croatian prospect who has won his last four fights in a row. He prefers to use his vast arsenal of submission moves. In his last fight, Racic defeated Lemmi Krusic (16-4-0), of Slovenia, this past October.

Ragimov (9-2-0, 4 KO/TKO, 4 SUB) earned a title shot after he defeated Morrison, in which he lost to M-1 Challenge featherweight champion Ivan “Buki” Buchinger last October at M-1 Challenge 52. In the Fight of the Night, Ragimov was stopped by punches in the fourth round, after suffering a fractured and displaced finger on his left hand, as well as torn ligaments in his right hand.

Brooklyn, N.Y. (Wednesday, May 13, 2015) – Ronson Frank’s Uprising Promotions will be returning to the Brooklyn Masonic Temple this Friday night, featuring Queens native Devaun Lee (3-1, 1 KO) taking on Deferson LeGrand (3-2, 2 KOs) in middleweight action. Doors open for the event at 6:30 PM, with the first bell coming at 7:00 PM.

“I feel good. Expect me at 100%, ready to put on a show,” Lee remarked. “I miss being in there. This is my first fight of the year, so I am beyond ready. I just want to get in the ring and do what I do.”

This pairing with the always tough LeGrand, who has never faced an opponent with more than one loss over six pro fights, will be the first for Lee since he last fought in November of 2014.

“Expect a lot of jabs. I have really been working on my jabs, as well as working on turning southpaw,” Lee said of training. “Expect me to be as elusive as possible. Everything that I have been working on in the gym is going to come out on Friday. Expect to see me get a well-deserved win, by any means necessary.”

Also set for action on this card is fan favorite super featherweight Gary “Kid” Stark Jr. (23-3, 8 KOs), who is ending a nearly five-year layoff against Jose Silveria of Mexico. Stark, who started his career with 18 consecutive wins, suffered chronic shoulder problems that eventually sidelined him in 2010, and the long road back to the boxing ring will now finally end on Friday night. Prior to turning professional, Stark created a huge buzz for himself after becoming a three-time New York City Golden Gloves Champion and reaching the Olympic Trials.

Also on this show, Brooklyn native Delen “Sniper” Parsley (11-1, 3 KOs) returns against Bronx fighter Troy Artis. The bout ends a nearly year layoff for the talented middleweight, who brings an imposing 6-2 frame into the ring. In his last outing, Parsley handed Marcus Beckford his first career loss in May of 2014. A professional of nearly six years, Parsley has impressive wins over battle-tested Ibahiem King and then-unbeaten Boyd Melson on his resume.

A highly anticipated rematch will also take place on this card between Susan Reno and Paola Ortiz in women’s light flyweight action. The duo last met on a February installment by Uprising Promotions, and this upcoming contest will be a historical one. For the first time in New York women’s boxing history, the bout will feature three-minute rounds over its six frames.

A super welterweight scrap between Villi Bello (1-1) and Jonathan Jeter is another contest currently on the fight sheet as well. Also on tap are two lightweight affairs, one pitting Victor Vasquez against Joey Arroyo, and another where Hamzah Muhammed and Mark Brown will meet in their pro debuts.

LONDON (May 13) – BoxNation will air the return of Puerto Rican legend and reigning WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto live and exclusive on June 6 as he steps in against former two-time world champion Daniel Geale.

The 34-year-old superstar Cotto will return to New York, where he has enjoyed much success, as he fights for the first time at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn having fought 11- times previously in ‘The Big Apple’.

Against the skilled Geale, however, the Freddie Roach trained Cotto will have to be at his best if he hopes to continue the impressive revival that has been witnessed under the Hall of Fame trainer.

Cotto is regarded as one of boxing’s elite stars and is ready to impress once again, live on BoxNation.

Australian Geale is back in New York following his 3rd round loss to Kazakh assassin Gennady Golovkin but is confident he can reign as champion once again.

The WBA featherweight world champion is ready to get revenge on the unbeaten Marriaga at the fabled Madison Square Garden, with the Colombian holding a win over him in the amateurs having defeated him during the Olympic trials.

“Headlining at Madison Square Garden is every fighter’s dream. I have unfinished business with Miguel Marriaga,” said Walters. “He kept me out of the 2008 Olympics when he beat me in the Americas Olympic Qualifier and I am ready to pay him back. I am going to chop him with the axe.”

“I am happy to be fighting at the legendary Madison Square Garden,” said Marriaga. “I was born to be world champion and come June 13 I will be victorious.”

The card will also feature the golden Puerto Rican lightweight talent Felix Verdejo who takes on an unbeaten prospect like himself in Ivan Najera.

This exciting bill is quickly followed by Bradley’s 12-round matchup with the undefeated Vargas at the StubHub Center in Carson, California, where the victor will be looking to cement themselves as one of the very best in the stacked 147-pound division.

The May 15 edition of ESPN Friday Night Fights presented by Corona Extra and ESPN Deportes’ Noche de Combates presentado por Corona Extra will feature undefeated, up-and-coming lightweight Reynaldo “El Maestro” Ojeda (16-0, 9 KOs) and veteran Monty Meza-Clay (36-4, 22 KOs) in the 10-round main event. Friday’s show from the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford, Conn., will air live at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN2, broadband Spanish-language ESPN Deportes+ and WatchESPN. ESPN Deportes will televise Friday’s fights on Saturday, May 16, at 8 p.m. The card is presented by 50 Cent’s SMS Promotions and DiBella Entertainment.

Joe Tessitore will be ringside with analyst Teddy Atlas describing the action for ESPN2, while studio host Todd Grisham will be on-site providing the latest boxing news and information. Pablo Viruega and Delvin Rodríguez will call the fights for Noche de Combates on both ESPN Deportes and ESPN Deportes+, while Leopoldo González and Claudia Trejos will co-anchor the studio. In his last fight, Puerto Rico’s Ojeda scored a unanimous decision win over Sergio Villanueva, while Pennsylvania’s Meza-Clay is looking to rebound from a 10-round unanimous decision loss to Rod Salka.

“Monty Meza-Clay is an offensive fighter that throws a lot of punches,” Ojeda said. “He comes all the way forward, that’s his main goal. He’s a person that really talks a lot inside the ring to get the other fighter confused. But we’re ready. We’re ready to go all the way.”
