Philadelphia (August 20, 2024)–A massive night of boxing comes to the Met Philadelphia on Saturday night, August 24 RDR Promotions rising star Isaiah Johnson (9-0, 7 KOs) of Sicklerville, NJ takes on the always-tough Andrew Rodgers (9-12-3, 3 KOs) of Elkhart, Indiana in a super lightweight bout.

The card is promoted by DRCO and RDR Promotions.

A huge undercard has been assembled that will feature many of the top prosects in the area.

Former world heavyweight title challenger Bryant Jennings (24-4, 14 KOs) of Philadelphia returns to the ring after a five-year hiatus as he takes on Joel Caudle (9-8-2, 6 KOs) of North Carolina in a bout scheduled for eight-rounds.

Also in eight-round bouts,. Avious Griffin 14-0, 13 KOs) of Chattanooga, Tennessee takes on William Jackson (13-4-2, 5 KO) of Cincinnati in a welterweight bout.

In a six-round fight, Erron Peterson (6-0-1, 4 KOs) of Philadelphia, PA battles Ashton Sykes 6-7, 2 KOs) of Columbia, Maryland in a middleweight fight.

Steven Grandy (1-0, 1 KO) of Houston takes on an opponent to be named in a super featherweight bout. Grandy’s twin brother Daniel Grandy (1-0, 1 KO) of Houston takes on Jak Johnson (1-4) of Newcastle, England in a super featherweight bout. The Grandy twins are 17 years-old and turned pro at 16.

Quincy Williams (2-0, 2 KOs) of Washington, DC takes on pro debuting Muzamir Semuddu. Semudddu was a Bronze Medal winner in the All-African Games representing his home country of Uganda.

Welterweight Tyreem Haywood (1-0, 1 KO) of Philadelphia takes on Deo Kizito (3-6, 2 KOs) of Baltimore

Pro debuting super bantamweight Samaj Justice of Philadelphia will take on Joseph K Adorno Del Valle (0-1-1) of Vega Alta, Puerto Rico.

PHILADELPHIA–Devar Ferhadi won an eight-round unanimous decision in a battle of super middleweights that headlined the King’s Promotions matinee portion of a day-night doubleheader at the 2300 Arena.

Ferhadi of Frederick, Maryland, won by scores of 80-72 and 79-73 twice to raise his perfect mark to 9-0. Mansfield, of Burlington, NC is 7-4-1.

Andrew Rodgers scored an upset as he took a six-round unanimous decision over Greg Outlaw in a junior welterweight fight.

The fight was hotly contested throughout with Rodgers getting inside on the longer Outlaw. In round five,, the pressure of Rodgers forced a knockdown.

That was the difference in the fight as Rodgers won by scores of 58-55 twice and 57-56 to improve to 5-9. Outlaw of Bowie, MD is 8-1.

Joseph Jackson remained undefeated with an opening round stoppage over Terrance Williams in a junior middleweight bout.

Jackson landed a perfect left hook to the body that sent Williams down for the 10-count at 2:42.

Jackson of Greensboro, NC is 17-0 with 13 knockouts. Williams of Harrisburg, PA is 5-5-1.

Christian Bermudez remained undefeated with a 47 second stoppage over Lawrence Mertagh in a junior welterweight bout.

Bermudez of Brooklyn is 4-0 with three knockouts. Mertagh of Brooklyn was making his pro debut.

Kashon Hutchinson stopped previously undefeated Edgar Torres 46 seconds into round one of their scheduled six-round welterweight bout.

In round one, Hutchinson dropped Torres with a flurry of head shots. Hutchinson followed up with a some flush power shots, and the fight was stopped after a perfect left to the head that rocked Torres at 46 seconds.

Hutchinson of Reading, PA is 8-5 with two knockouts. Torres of Springfield, VA is 8-1-1.

Quadir Albright stopped Isaac Hayne in the opening round of a battle of pro debuting junior welterweights.

Albright landed a leaping right that sent Haynes down and the fight was stopped 65 seconds into the contest.

Albright of Philadelphia is 1-0 with one knockout/ Haynes of Albany, NY is 0-1.

Philadelphia, PA (March 9, 2020) -This past Saturday night, junior welterweight Samuel Teah won a six-round unanimous decision over Dieumerci Nzau in front of a sold-out crowd at The 2300 Arena in Philadelphia.

The successful show, which was attended by many members of the boxing community as well as well as WWE superstars, was the inaugural card staged by RDR Promotions.

Teah of Philadelphia dropped Nzau in the opening frame with a hard right hand to the head. Teah never was challenged in the bout that saw him win by scores of 60-53 twice and 59-54.

Teah now has a record of 17-3-1. Nzau of Silver Spring, Maryland is now 11-12.

Brandon Robinson got off the deck in round two to comeback and stop Josue Obando in the same round of their scheduled six-round super middleweight bout.

The time of the stoppage was 1:46 of the 2nd frame for the Upper Darby, PA native, who now has a record of 15-2 with 10 knockouts. Obando of Guadalajara, Mexico is 19-27-2.

Nahir Albright won a six-round majority decision over Andrew Rodgers in a junior welterweight bout.

Albright of Sicklerville, NJ won by scores of 60-54, 58-56 and 57-57 and is now 8-1. Rodgers of Elkhart, IN is 4-9-2.

Ryan Umberger kept his perfect knockout streak in-tact by stopping Estevan Payan in the opening frame of their four-round middleweight bout.

Umberger of Bensalem, PA is 4-0 with four stoppages. Payan of Glendale, AZ is 1-9-1.

Naheem Parker made a successful pro debut with a four-round unanimous decision over Anthony Carter in a super lightweight bout.

Parker of Camden, NJ won by scores of 40-36 twice and 39-37. Carter of Philadelphia is 0-2.

Victor Medina and Michael Stoute fought to a four-round split draw in a bantamweight fight.

Scores were 39-37 for each and 38-38.

Medina of Hartford, CT is 1-0-1. Stoute of Long Island is 3-2-1.

Nafear Charles stopped Joseph Santana in 74 seconds of their four-round lightweight bout.

Charles of Philadelphia is 3-0 with all wins coming early. Santana of Providence, RI is 0-3.

Touted amateur Rashiem Jefferson Jr. won a four-round unanimous decision over previously undefeated Nathan Benichou in a featherweight contest.

Jefferson of Philadelphia was making his pro debut, won by shutout scores of 40-36 on all cards. Benichou of France is 2-1.

LaQuan Evans stopped debuting Anthony Young in the final round of their scheduled four-round junior middleweight fight.

Evans of Philadelphia is now 4-1 with two knockouts. Carter, also of Philadelphia is 0-1.

Albright, will be in action this Saturday night when he takes on Andrew Rodgers on the inaugural RDR Promotions card at The 2300 Arena in Philadelphia.

Albright of Sicklerville, New Jersey has a record of 7-1 with two knockouts.

Albright has been a professional for four-years and has quality wins over Dan Murray (1-0), Glenford Nickey (4-1-1) and Roy McGill (6-1). In his last bout, Albright won a six-round unanimous decision over Tyrome Jones on April 27th in Morrisville, PA.

Mike Reed stopped Yardley Cruz in round two of a scheduled six-round welterweight bout.

Reed was dominant and the referee stopped the bout after a hard flurry of punches at 1:45 of round two.

Reed, 141 lbs of Washington, DC is now 24-2 with 13 knockouts. Cruz, 142 lbs of Los Mochis, MEX is 25-14.

Raul Curiel stopped Andrew Rodgers at the end of two rounds of their scheduled six-round super welterweight bout.

Curiel, 149.4 lbs of Tamaulipas, MEX is now 6-0 with four knockouts. Rodgers, 144.2 lbs of Elkhart, IN is 4-7-1.

CHICAGO, IL., (October 11, 2018) – Junior Welterweight Kenneth Sims, Jr. will be back in action this Saturday night when he takes on Andrew Rodgers in a six-round bout at The McBride Hall in Gary, Indiana.

Sims of nearby Chicago will be back in the ring for the first time since taking an eight-round split decision over previously undefeated Montana Love on July 20th in a bout that was nationally televised on ShoBox: The New Generation on SHOWTIME.

Sims (12-1-1, 4 KOs) has been working in Houston, Texas with some top-notch sparring partners, which will help him go forward in his career.

“My camp was great. It was a full camp with my strength and conditioning coach. I got great sparring with O’Shaquie Foster, Regis Prograis, and Taras Shelestyuk,” said Sims.

In Rodgers, Sims is taking on an unheralded opponent in what most a terming a “stay busy fight.”

“I really do not know much about him. I am taking this fight as it is close to home. I have been fighting in different places, so this is a good opportunity for my family and fans to see me fight.”

After being injured for the better part of the last year, Sims is looking to stay active at the end of the 2018 and into 2019.

“I hope to have another fight before the end of the year. It doesn’t matter if it another fight like this or something more significant. It all depends on the situation.”
