Starling Castillo Decisions Shinard Bunch

Starling Castillo won a 10-round unanimous decision over Shinard Bunch in a junior welterweight bout.

Castillo landed 178 of 602 punches. Bunch was just 48 of 396.

Castillo, 141 lbs of the Dominican Republic won by scores of 99-91 and 98-92 twice and is now 20-1-1. Bunch, 142.2 lbs of Trenton, NJ is 21-3-1,

Marques Valle Stops Georges in 1st

Marques Valle stopped previously undefeated Luis Georges in the opening round of their 10-round middleweight bout.

In round one, Valle landed a five punch combination on the ropes that was culminated by a left to the body that put Georges down for the count at 2:07.

Valle, 161.6 lbs of Wesley Chapel, FL is 11-1 with eight knockouts. Georges, 161.4 lbs of the Dominican Republic is 12-1.

Mindoro Stops Potes After 4

Weljon Mindoro stopped Dormenos Potes after round four of their eight-round middleweight bout.

In round one, Mindoro dropped Pontes with a left to the body. In round three, Mindroro scored a knockdown with a body shot. After the round, Potes had enough and the fight was stopped.

Gary Antonio Russell Decisions Dervin Rodriguez

Gary Antonio Russell won a eight-round unanimous decision over Dervin Rodriguez in a super bantamweight bout.

Russell, 122,2 lbs of Washington, DC won by scores of 80-72 on all cards and is now 21-1. Rodriguez, 122.8 lbs of Borgata, COL is 11-3-1.

Kenyan Valle won a four-round unanimous decision over Lai Thang in a super bantamweight fight.

Miguel Mendez won his pro debut with a four-round unanimous decision over Andrew Flamm in a junior welterweight bout.

In round two, Mendez landed a counter right and followed up with a left hook that put Flann on the canvas.

Narek Hovhannisyan won a six-round unanimous decision over Kenneth Sene in a lightweight bout.

Hovhannisyan, 135.2 lbs of Vanadzor, ARM won by scores of 60-54 on all cards ands is 1-0. Sene, 135 1/2 lbs of Lauderhill, FL is 4-3.

Noah Timoteo made a successful pro debut with a first round stoppage over Alexander Taylor in a four-round junior welterweight fight.

Timoteo landed a right to the solar plexus that put Taylor down for the count at 2:34.

Timoteo, 140 1/4 lbs of Waianae, HA is 1-0 with one knockout. Taylor, 133 1/4 lbs of Managua, NIC is 21-49-2.




Carroll stops Aryee in Four

Former world title challenger Jono Carroll stopped Patrick Ayi Aryee in round four of a scheduled 10-round super featherweight bout.

In round four, Carroll trapped Aryee in the corner and unloaded about 35 unanswered blows that forced a (late) referee stoppage at 2:07.

Carroll, 131.4 of Ireland is 22-7 with seven knockouts. Aryee, 131.4 lbs of Accra, GHA is 21-1-1.

Foster Decisions Yaqubov

O’Shaquie Foster won a 12-round unanimous decision over Muhammadkhuja Yaqubov in a super featherweight contest.

Foster, 129.8 lbs of Houston, TX won by scores of 118-109 and 117-110 twice and is now 19-2. Yaqubov, 129.6 lbs is 18-1.

Masoud stops Boyeux after 2

Shabaz Masoud stopped Yoann Boyeux after round two of their scheduled 10-round super bantamweight bout.

Masoud hurt Boyeux several times in the six-minutes of action and the fight was stopped after the 2nd frame.

Masoud, 121.7 lbs of England is 10-0 with three knockouts. Boyeux, 121.7 of France is 43-7.
