ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (July 11, 2012)—This past Saturday night, Patrick Majewski scored a stoppage over Chris Fitzpatrick after five rounds to capture the vacant NABF Middleweight title after it was “Controversially” ruled that Fitzpatrick could not continue due to cut.

The fight was competitive throughout as Majewski was especially effective with the right hand. Fitzpatrick suffered a nasty cut in the second round over his left eye. Despite the large blood flow, Fitzpatrick showed no signs of discomfort and fought valiantly through the stream of blood running down his face. The cut, which was deep, did not bleed much in round five but the fight was stopped much to the dismay of Fitzpatrick and his team after the frame.
With the win, Majewski raises his mark to 19-1 with thirteen knockouts. Fitzpatrick is 15-2.
Undefeated Light Heavyweight Lavarn “Baby Bowe” Harvell scored two knockdowns before stopping Mojeed Okedara in the first round of their six round Light Heavyweight bout.
It was the fourth straight knockout for Harvell (12-0, 7 KO’s) of Atlantic City. Okdedara of Nigeria was making his American debut is now 9-6.
2012 U.S. Olympian Jesse “Hard Work” Hart made it two straight first round stoppages as he used a vicious body assault to put out Steven Chadwick (0-4) at 2:38 of their Middleweight bout
Naim Nelson remained perfect as he scored a tough unanimous decision over Esteban Rodriguez in a Jr. Welterweight bout.
Nelson (7-0) of Philadelphia won by scores of 60-54, 59-55 & 59-55. Rodriguez is 5-2-1.
Dan Biddle won a six round majority decision over Pedro Martinez in a Heavyweight bout.
Biddle (9-2) of Wilmington, Delaware won by scores of 58-56, 58-56 and 57-57. Martinez of Philadelphia is evened up at 6-6.
Raphael Luna (4-5-2) of Albany, New York and Osnel Charles (9-3-1) of Atlantic City fought to a spirited draw in a six round Welterweight bout. Scores were 58-56 each way and 57-57.
Mark Rideout made a successful pro debut by earning a hard fought four round unanimous decision over hard charging Randy Easton in a Heavyweight bout.
In the opening bout of the evening, Anthony Prescott scored a scary second round knockout over DeAndre Phillips in a battle of pro debuting Welterweight.
Prescott landed a thumping right to the head that sent Phillips down and out for about seven minutes. Phillips, with help from paramedics was able to walk out under his own power.
