June 6th will see Prospect Boxing duo Shaun McShane and JP McGuinness return to Ravenscraig Sports Facility ,as they look to progress their professional records in the venue were they started it.
With both fighters making there professional debut on Last February’s Prospect show and both picking up wins, Promoter Paul Graham moved swiftly to add them to the upcoming June 6th show.
“Both laddies did well in their respective fights, and showed grit In getting the wins ” said promoter Paul Graham.
With a background in Kick Boxing, Light Welterweight JP McGuinness picked a points victory over the more experienced Teodor Stefanov “Coming into that fight I think JP was a tad nervous, which is not a bad thing as I keeps you grounded, but after a round or two he lost them and done well in the way he handled the more experienced fighter. After the six rounds he walked out a 55-59 winner and it was well deserved.
He added “He is back in training for a few weeks now and his camp is going well, so it will be good to see him build on his previous win over Stefanov.
Glasgow based Shaun McShane also impressed with a hard fought points win over fellow debutant Ryan Love, but then went on to lose a close points decision over Aberdeen based Marek Laskowski in Paisley last month.

With a mixed fortune in his first few fights, former referee Graham explains that he still has high expectations for the 33 year old “Ryan Love was younger, but the way the two boxed and the energy that McShane showed that night you would have thought he was the younger fighter. Shaun is a real student of the game, and enjoys the game and that shows in his fighting.
“For this fight he has decided to come down to Lightweight, I think that is a great idea as he is going to be more of a harder hitter and more effective at the lower weight.
