Kiev, Ukraine (May 23, 2014) 2012 Olympic Heavyweight Gold Medalist OLEKSANDR USYK will return to battle in his fourth professional fight against CESAR DAVID “El Ruso” CRENZ on Saturday, May 31 at the Sport Palace in Odessa, Ukraine.

Fast moving and very impressive since his highly anticipated pro debut in November, the 6’3” tall heavy hitting southpaw has stopped his first three opponents, most recently scoring a third round knockout of Ben Nsafoah on April 26 on the undercard of the Wladimir Klitschko/Alex Leapai Heavyweight World Title Event in Oberhausen, Germany.

Against Crenz, Usyk, 3-0-0 (3KO’s), will face off against a much more experienced fighter with the Argentinian compiling a record of 21-8-0 with 13 knockouts over his 12-year career.

Among the notables Crenz has faced include; Yoan Pablo Hernandez, Pawel Kolodziej, Hugo Hernan Garay and Dmytro Kucher.

Just before a training session, Usyk, a veteran of over 300 amateur bouts spoke about his upcoming fight, training and his plans for this year.

‘I know that Crenz had more professional experience but I will be well prepared on May 31 for what he brings to the fight. This is my second fight this year, however I want to fight six times in 2014.”

For his fight last month Usyk trained with the unified heavyweight world champion Wladimir Klitschko in Austria. “This was a terrific experience, to train with and learn from Wladimir, we had an excellent camp.”

“I want to stay busy this year, keep winning and gain more experience as a professional. I enjoy fighting in Europe but would also like to fight in the United States soon.” Usyk fought in the United States as an amateur.

“The interest in Oleksandr has been tremendous since his professional debut” said Alexander Krassyuk of K2 Promotions. “This will be his second scheduled eight rounder and we’re looking for big things from him this year.”
