Saturday night at Harrah’s Philly Casino in Chester, PA highly touted prospect Angel Ocasio is set to make his long awaited return to ring when he takes on Justin Johnson (6-7-4, 2KO’s) in a six round super lightweight tilt.
Ocasio was last seen scoring a second round destruction of Esteban Rodriquez (6-3-1, 1KO) back on December 8, 2012. Since that time Ocasio has taken care of things in his personal life including marrying the woman of his dreams. But the passion for the sport has never left him, so Ocasio has returned to ring with and rededicated himself to sport and is ready to make his move up the rankings.
While most others would have taken quick fights while working back into shape, MAK Boxing Management’s Angel Ocasio did it the right way, methodically working his way back into prime fighting shape in the gyms and with good roadwork. He has sparred with some of the best including the likes of Milton Santiago.
Standing in his way on Saturday night is Justin Johnson, the fighter who is willing to take on anybody anywhere. He has faced some of the top up and comers, including Hastings Bwalya (5-0, 4KO’s), Stevie Weimer (7-0, 2KO’s) Anthony Karperis (3-0, 2KO’s) and owns a victory over Jesus Saucedo (4-0-1,2KO’s).
Now primed and ready Ocasio is ready to make his mark in the world rankings and it all begins again on Saturday night against Justin Johnson. Time to settle unfinished business!!!
