Berchelt floored Giono with a hard combination to the body in round three and the bout was stopped at 1:40.
Berchelt of Mexico is 28-1 with 25 knockouts. Giono of Panama falls to 17-7.
Juan Macias Montiel scored a 3rd round stoppage over previously undefeated Ivan Montero in a scheduled 10-round Super Welterweight bout.
In round three, Montiel drilled Montero with a perfect right down the middle that crumpled Montero to the canvas. A follow-up flurry forced the referee to stop the bout at 43 seconds of round three.
Montiel is 19-2-1 with all 19 coming early. Montero is 19-1.
Fernando Carcamo won a 6-round unanimous decision over Jonathan Duran in a Welterweight bout.
Carcamo is now 20-6-1. Duran is 13-11-1.
Alexis Uribe dropped Ruben Estrella in round one, Estrella returned the favor in round two, but it was Uribe who came home with the 4-round majority decision in the Super Featherweight bout.
Uribe was making his pro debut. Estrella is 0-2.
