Kurt Scoby stopped Alex Martin in the eighth and final round of their welterweight bout at Sony Hall in New York City.

In round five, Martine began to bleed from his nose. In round seven, Martin was deducted for holding. In round eight, Scoby landed two perfect straight rights that snapped the head of Martin back and the fight was stopped at 1:32.

Scoby, 146 lbs of California is 18-1 with 16 knockouts. Martin, 145.8 lbs of Chicago is 19-9.

Andres Martinez won a six-round split decision over Nadim Salloum in a super middleweight bout.

In round one, Martinez dropped Salloum with a right to the head.

Martinez won by scores of 59-54 and 57-56 and Salloum took a card 57-56.

Martinez, 170.4 lbs of Africa is now 6-4. Salloum, 169.8 lbs of Lebanon is 13-3.

Armando Barbier won a four-round split decision over Ricardo Jimenez in a welterweight bout.

In round four, Barbier was credited with a knockdown after Jimenez foot fell through the ropes.

Barbier, 147.6 lbs of Harlem, NY won two cards 40-35 and 39-36, while Jimenez won a card 38-37/

Barbier is now 3-0. Jimenez, 146 lbs of Yonkers, NY is 0-3-1.

George Arias won a eight-round unanimous decision over Earl Newman in a heavyweight bout.

Arias, 229 lbs of Bronx, NY via The Dominican Republic won by scores of 79-73 and 78-74 twice and is now 19-1-1. Newman, 252 lbs of Brooklyn is 10-5-1.

Donte Layne stopped Mirandy Zola in round two of their six-round of their six-round super middleweight fight.

In round one, Layne dropped Zola with a straight left. In round two, Layne landed a thudding left uppercut that put Zola down again. Zola got to his feet, but the fight was stopped at 48 seconds.

Layne, 169 lbs of Elmont, NY is 80 with seven knockouts. Zola, 168 lbs of Columbus, Oh via The Congo is 5-4-1,
