According to Dan Rafael of espn.com, WBA Super Bantamweight champion Scott Quigg will defend his title against Paulus Ambunda on September 13 in Manchester, England.
The co-feature will pit lightweight Anthony Crolla (28-4-1, 11 KOs), 27, who will be fighting in his hometown, against Gamaliel Diaz (38-11-2, 17 KOs) in a scheduled 12-round bout.
“We are excited to be back in Manchester in September for another big night,” said Matchroom Sport’s Eddie Hearn “Scott and Anthony are becoming regular fixtures at the arena with great support and both are in major fights on Sept. 13. Scott is in scintillating form and ready to stamp his authority on the division, while Anthony has another tough fight against former world champ Diaz, who mixed with the likes of Robert Guerrero, Jorge Linares and Humberto Soto before traveling to Japan to win the WBC title.”
